pretty good prices, really helpful staff, nice cat food selection. If I had a dog, i would bring him here for the DIY shower, I think that is a great idea. I go weekly, support local businesses! read more

It's so nice to have a healthy dog food store in the neighborhood. Always friendly and able to answer any questions. But, I wished they'd ask me if my dog could have a treat before giving her one. And there is one girl who talks robotic and has weird controlling energy. But the tall girl is chatty and nice. MP also helps out in the Olive Park dog run I believe. read more

The staff at Muddy Paws are always friendly, always helpful and they usually have what I need for my pups. If they don't have it, the can tell me when it will come in (and it's usually only a day or two). Thanks Muddy Paws!!! read more

So grateful for a local business like this! They also do kitten adoptions on sundays :)

Wonderful and friendly local pet store! My dog loves going in and they carry all the right food and products. Plus they are a wealth of information and suggestions for other local pet services. read more

It's a cozy little neighborhood pet store. I love the weekly Cat Adoptions. I got Jackson from one of those! Yes, there's a NYC Pet store down the block...but I prefer this place. Unexpectedly, they have lower prices on canned food here than the chain store a few blocks down. Heh. read more

I adopted the sweetest little puppy from these guys who made sure he had his vaccinations and medication when I was getting him. They also give you tons of info (medical history and what future vaccinations and medicine he may need) and recommendation for trainers. Very well informed and kept the adoption process easy. We're so happy with our sweet baby Cooper, words cannot even describe. read more

I buy my dog's food here all the time. The people working there are always friendly and helpful. It's a little on the expensive side, but that was kind of expected. read more

This is a wonderful little store. The owner is so friendly and knowledgeable and always happy to give out samples. He also has a treat ready for our dog when we come in and a warm hello. The prices are reasonable for what you are getting, which is high quality pet food, and they have a great selection of bones, tracheas, etc. They also do adoptions on Sundays! read more

I will admit, the prices are a bit high, but I'm willing to pay more to shop at a small local place than at a big corporate chain. It's conveniently located and the staff are friendly and helpful. They carry a brand of litter that I've had trouble finding anywhere else that my cat absolutely loves. Great place! They will also go out of their way to order something if you can't find it and call you when it arrives. read more

Great staff and wide selection... perfect hours for busy dog-parents. Highly recommended.

Though the store is small, the selection is really impressive - they've always had everything we were looking for, and the prices are great. It's so nice to have a local independent store that stays open late for after-work errands. read more

Great selection of cat food and litter, and great staff! They're very nice and helpful! They open till late hours so it's convenient for me to get food for my kitties after work. read more

They gots what I need, and if they don't, they order it...the staff is great and my pup thinks so too!

Great place to buy pet food and supplies in Williamsburg!! The staff is always friendly, they have a great selection or toys as well as a great selection of holistic pet foods. They also have a really cool self dog wash. Its way more convenient then dropping them off somewhere plus you don't have to get your own tub dirty. read more

For the most part the staff is great (not all of them appreciate my humor), great products, and a self serve dog wash! My dog loves it here so much that she will lead me there almost as regularly as she leads me to the wine store. The fact that she loves a place where she gets her bath, is extremely impressive. They rearranged their dog treats so now she can actually pick her favorite one out herself. read more

I have been bathing my dogs here since it opened. It only seems to get better and better. The new manager is so smart. She has a facebook spot where you can suggest stuff you want. I got better lids for sealing opened canned food. She is nice to you; when I buy chews, she peels the sticky labels off as she puts them in the bag. It is the small things that make me feel at home in'dhood.. Now they have cool gifts for the ones you (we know) love the most. They have tee pees for cats and crash pads and chi chi dog coats for your fashion hound. Enough all ready, I love'm for helping me take good care of my cats and dogs....... read more

We love this place, and so do our critters! Really nice and helpful staff, and they have delivery which is a great alternative to carrying a 40lb bag of dog food and big box of cat litter home. Good selection of healthy pet foods. Our dog is allergic to almost everything and our cat is super picky, but this place has something for us every time! When we offered to tip the delivery guy, he requested that we donate the money instead to a shelter. Pretty fantastic. read more

I took our dog there for a bath. Great concept of wash your own dog. They have you two towels for drying and the shampoo came out of the hose. You also get a couple of brushes to make it the job easier. They only have one stall so you might have to wait a few mins. You are provided with a waterproof apron but because you are using a table and not a tub to wash your dog you end up getting pretty wet. I would go back but wear shorts and flip flops to avoid getting soaked. They also have a loyalty card that earns you a free wash after you visit five times. They also carry a full line of pet food. Plenty of grain free food and lots of treats. read more

This place is awesome! No great shops in crown heights and this is close to my job so I shop here now. The two women in there (Heather and Carmen) are super helpful and very friendly..........I highly suggest shopping here. read more

I've been to Muddy Paws about 6 times for various cat adoption events and every time I end up buying lots of toys and food as well. The staff is super nice and if you ask for something they don't have, they write it down and try to stock it for next time. I wish it was closer to my apartment so it could be my everyday pet store. read more

I LOVE this place. As a dog owner and frequent customer to the store (my dog likes to take me in at least 2 times a week) I find the store hours so convenient for a working pet owner. For a small store, there is a good range of toys and treats for your beloved pooch (or cat) . There is always new toys in the store and they are good quality. No stuffing busters here! There is a good range of food for a small store and the advise and friendliness of the staff is amazing!! They have some great advise and really know their stuff, not like these big pet mega stores. On that note, my only dissapointment was when I was in the store recently, the owner was scoulding her staff infront of customers. C'mon, be nice. Your staff are your Best Asset! read more

okay so i want to give this place five stars and ill begin with this, I have lived now in Brooklyn for about six months and recently adopted a cocker spaniel named Wilson. I do not know much about animals and was looking for about two weeks around Brooklyn for a good place to buy healthy food etc for Wilson. I stumbled upon Muddy paws and pretty much just walked in for help to find another place to get food and stuff for Wilson. The girl working was not only extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what i should use as far as products and food for Wilson but she also informed me and helped me with Wilson teeth care and shedding problems. She was so kind, attentive to Wilson, and so sincerely concerned about Wilson when i brought him. I decided to ask for the girls name and she said her name was Blakaly and that if i ever needed more help with Wilson or anything she would be happy to help me. As far as the prices of the products the food like Natures variety or wysong/solid gold, was a little pricy but i did love the loofas and flossy chew were great. I would definitely maybe suggest another place to buy food, but as far as treats and dog toys this place was excellent as well as the customer service was superb and extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Also the fact that they let you bathe your animals in their facility is also a big plus because Wilson loves their shower. Wilson and I will definitely be back to see blakaly and to visit the shower as well as more toys for him to chew up.... Customer service 110% Animal Shower 100% Dog toys 90% Dog Food 20% read more

I honestly don't know what happened to the girl with blonde hair today but that was the most unnecessarily unpleasant retail experience I've had. Why did you look like talking to me was making you lose the will to live? When I asked you where the dog shampoo was why did you point down and move to your phone and start texting? I am speechless. I'm gonna walk another half a mile and go to the other dog store just because that was so horrible. Get it together girllllll read more

I really like this place. They are knowledgeable and friendly and have evening hours that work really well with busy schedules. I know that NYC pet has multiple locations in and around williamsburg, but the staff at Muddy Paws know more about their products and have just as competitive pricing. I much prefer to support the little neighborhood shops. If you're on Graham, you should check it out. read more

First of all, the parrot story makes me confirm that I will not be going to this store. That enrages me. Second, the few times I've been in here, the employees barely speak and are not very friendly to say the least. Third, I noticed treats were expired when I was last there. Fourth, they have an abundance of Greenies that they sell. I feel any store selling these treats, etc. that have been deadly and caused help problems to some dogs, should carry some sort of warning or information if they choose to sell them. Fifth, everything is crazy expensive here. This place basically sucks and seem solely out for money. No thanks and welcome to W'burg. read more

The good people at Muddy Paws are as kind to people as they are to their pets. They are friendly and professional. Their hours are longer than most supply stores if you happen to work late, and the pet shower station is a great convenience. They definitely have my on going business. read more

Great little neighborhood pet shot. Competitive prices, great service and well stocked. No reason to shop online or in a bigger store. If they don't carry a particular item just ask and they will order for you. Also, many natural and holistic options. read more

My husband and I love Muddy Paws... Whenever I bring my dog into the store the staff will give out treats and play with my dog. We even useone of their employees to as our dog walker. I cant say enough about this place. Just 2 weeks ago I was in there for 1 hour while our dogs played. we love this place read more

Incredibly rude and untrained staff! I had an issue with a product and was trying to get a refund, but the manager was 'on an important phone call'. This new girl had me wait with my 5 year old son for 10 minutes assuring me they would refund me, but then the manager came thru on speaker phone and rolled her eyes at me. Another employee came in but she couldn't help as she's not in charge and was on her way to another job, she told me. Unbelievable, especially with the prices they charge!! read more

I love this place, they are well stocked with all of the right stuff for your animal. Blakely who works there is awesome, and provided me with such great insight into what I should be feeding my puppy, who is so happily chewing on the delicious chew toys she recommended! THANK YOU BLAKELY!!! read more

Great variety of GOOD dog food and treats. Staff is great - very helpful. A great Mom & Pop shop. Lets keep them alive - you won't get this quality from the big chain stores. read more

I have been buying food at Muddy Paws for my two kitties since I moved to the neighborhood six months ago. Everyone that works there is always super helpful! Recently tho I found a very old dog walking down the street - she had a leather collar on but no tags. It was just after the blizzard and was quite cold and she had bad hips so her legs kept giving out. I had no idea what to do with her so I took her one block to Muddy Paws (I had three flights of stairs to my apt and that there was no way the dog could get up them and she was too heavy to carry). They helped me find a place to take her for the night, found me a lift to get her there and gave me loads of suggestions of how to find the dogs owners. Luckily I found her owners the next morning but how many local pet stores do you know that would do that? They are in no way an animal rescue place but they went out of their way to help me and I appreciated it so much, not to mention the doggie I found who turned out to be 14! Love them! read more
