I've been coming here since my daughter was born yes you fur baby is my daughter and she's now five yrs old I wanted her to look like a Finnekin which is a Pokémon and I was in contact with Gabriella since nov3rd even though she made me panic and sweat a bit once I got there that no groomers would be able to do my daughter.....and saw both of our sad faces and pouting she got one of her groomers to come back and color my baby and Sweetheart once I saw my child my heart couldn't take it because I usually they always do a good good job use all organic products, walks your dogs,and babysit too and plays with them come on you would want your child to be happy and comfortable even though its just 2hrs or 6hrs. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! THIS IS A LONG REVIEW If I could give this place a zero I would. I've taken my dog here in the past but the inconveniences with charging, the extra fee for card verses cash was a turn off. So I started taking my dog to WHO'S YOUR DOGGY, which is excellent. Me and my partner got our signals crossed and he mistakenly took my dog here this past Saturday to be groomed unfortunately. They took him which was odd bcuz again he didn't have an appointment here. Once he was picked up my dog and took him outside my partner noticed visible cuts on him. He went back inside and addressed the receptionist. She stated that his fur was matted (it wasn't we wash him regularly with the brush gloves) and he got nicked. That should have been addressed immediately upon arrival but it was not. Once he got home I then noticed he had more cuts. Some his body, hind legs, his private area and possibly his anal area. I believe there is more but he won't allow me to touch him much. My dog can barely walk, sit, isn't eating and is laying still. My partner called and was told through text btw that he had a skin irritation and that what we were seeing was from the skin irritation solely. The stories has changed dramatically the owner s unwilling to take calls. All communication with any issues are through text. Anyways I finally was able to speak to the owner Gabriella. She also wanted to respond through text but I demanded to speak to her verbally. She does a lot of talking but hardly any listening. She proceeded to tell me about my dog having skin allergies which can cause some skin irritation and the dog more than likely got razor burns. I had to cut her off and explain to her this was not what the receptionist told my partner. She also decided to send me over photos some were the ones we sent them with one of the cuts. There was so much talk and things she was saying didn't make sense. As a business owner she refused to take responsibility for the butchered job that was done to my dog and I am HIGHLY upset and disappointed. Not even a sorry was offered. Which is baffling. Even if you don't offer a refund you couldn't give a sorry? It is now Wednesday and my dog still isn't back to his normal self. He is moving around a bit more but very slowly. We've had to pick him up just to move him around and to take him up and down stairs just to go outside to relieve himself. This is in response to the owners unacceptable response to my Frenchie suffering a HEATSTROKE while in their care. Everything you wrote is contradictory to the veterinarians diagnosis of HEAT STROKE. I'm sure as an "animal groomer" I don't have to explain to you the primary cause of HEAT stroke which is over-heating as a result of HEAT! He overheated while in your care! Simple!! Don't try to deflect due to your greed and lack of professionalism. Ash has been groomed numerous times in climates hotter than NY and this has never happened! Regarding your comment about the heatless air dryers, it was YOUR receptionist that told me he could have over heated because of the dryers. So again maybe you need to deal with the incompetence of the staff. Lastly, when you saw him in distress I should have been notified immediately as his parent! Which you did not do! Or take him to a vet at my cost as outlined in your grooming contract! You did neither!! Not one person called to check on him but you have the time to get on YELP and type a response?! If you're not sure why "Ash had this reaction" which was diagnosed as HEATSTROKE maybe you may need a career that doesn't involve living beings! Because you should at least know the signs of heatstroke and also should be aware of what brachycephalic breeds require. All of my questions were answered in a timely and professional manner. I decided to get the grooming, haircut and bath package inside my home. I did inquire if the groomer was vaccinated and to ensure covid protocols were followed up and it was. During the intake process I informed them to send someone patient because I knew Milo was not going to make it easy for them and his little crazy behind didn't. Lmao. Milo was way overdue for a hair cut and when I saw him I thought I had a brand new puppy. I didn't hear too much resistance from milo but I did hear a lot of positive feedback from the groomer, "that's a good boy milo" and a few "no milo, come back milo" I stayed out the room in order for the groomer to handle everything with minimal distractions. The grooming session seemed very thorough and I was very pleased with the results. I had a concern about milos nails and notified the company and they responded right away with an explanation and it made sense especially around safety issues. Took my pup here for a grooming. She was ready within 50 minutes after drop off. As I'm approaching the building, I hear my dog yelping. My dog doesn't cry or bark at anything, she's very quiet. So this behavior was very concerning. The staff was not friendly, I showed up to pay and she immediately asked how I was going to tip. She told her coworker to get my dog, and as I'm waiting I hear the coworker yell at my dog to get out of the cage. I'm shocked they would even talk to someone else's dog that way, especially with the owner 20 feet away. They didn't lease up my dog when giving me her and my dog ran away from them so fast. I had to rush and put her lease on because they opened the door for my customers to come in. They didn't say a word to me, no goodbye nothing. Had a very bad experience. My dog was left 3.5 hours without even starting the service (read: should not have taken another appointment). Was there a total of 5.5 hours for a straightforward groom that takes about 75 minutes normally. Also the first receptionist told me a price for cash, then the second receptionist said the same service was $22 more. Not added service or something unanticipated, just insisted that it was a different price point-- also significantly more than all area grooming. Finally as I stood there listening to my dog howl, distressed, in the finishes dog holding cage, the receptionist stood for about ten minutes--not busy, just not retrieving the dog. I've been here twice now and each time has been great. Zen Animals caught my eye because they groom in stages which is how I groom my dog. They're the first groomers I've seen who actively work to make sure your dog is relaxed and even offer CBD and canning essential oils as part of the service. My dog normally hates going to the groomers which is why I've groomed him at home, but those professional shears really do make a difference. I did a test run and brought moochie in for a Neil trimming which took all of 15 min. I held him while they used the grinder since his nails are black. His full bath grooming appointment was two weeks later and my boo dropped him off in the late morning. We initially were given 5 hours later but when we went to pick him up he wasn't ready. They said about another 30 min so we just chilled and waited in the store. I liked being able to see them groom my dog and when moochie was done he came back super chill and not at all a nervous wreck. The staff at the front are incredibly nice and fun to talk to. Zen Animals had my dog locked in their cage for over 6 hours while Zen Animals had jackhammers completing construction on their facility. July 23, 2022 10:30am - I scheduled a 2:30 Haircut + Bath Package (AKA) basic grooming equaling $98. 2:30pm - I dropped my dog off, everything looked normal. Z.A. staff said they'll call me when done. 7:30pm - No one called nor picked up the phone when I called 8pm - I drove to Z.A. assuming they'd be done. 8pm - I found the entire store actively being renovated by Mexican workers using: construction masks due to the dust/debris everywhere, jack hammers being used on the floor, wheel barrels rolling broken concrete out, etc. WHILE MY DOG WAS THERE! See the attached photos!! 8pm - Z.A. staff tell me they have not even started grooming 8:45pm - My dog's grooming was completed. I was not given a receipt. When I realized I wanted the receipt I went back to make them give me one only to find Zen Animals AUTOMATICALLY ADDED A TIP FOR THEMSELVES. Present - I never asked to be put on their email list, yet I receive their Day spam every month despite repeatedly using the Unsubscribe command at the bottom of the emails The definition of Holistic speaks to consideration for the physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing. Z.A. knew they had scheduled pet service during their full renovation. That is not holistic. I just dropped Lelly for her 11:30 am appointment this morning. This was not Lelly's first visit and I always tip staff 20% . Sadly , I will not be returning ! I undid the bow & My dog has an open fresh wound and you guys covered it up with a bow . I always tell the staff that I will be next-door to the café as I know her haircuts are quick and she is 7 year old 4lbs Yorkie. They asked me if was aware of this wound. It does not make sense that if there was an open fresh wound why didn't you guys call me before proceeding. & to even give her a haircut & let alone try to cover it up with the bow . Never in my life have I heard that a ponytail can cause an open wound. It does not make sense, the staff took a picture of it. I have taken pictures of it. This is unacceptable. My boy Mozzie comes here all the time for boarding (he loves everyone there and his little area at Zen) and he's recently gotten his first official groom here - he came out smelling amazing and super soft. Our previous groomer would leave him somewhat damp - Samoyed double-coats take awhile to dry, but it's completely necessary they dry all the way after a bath to avoid matting - but here at Zen, his coat was dried correctly and so much more. Was looking for a place that would do pretty much everything except cut my dogs' hair. I've got two long-haired miniature dachshunds, and we like to keep their hair long. They both went in for the bath package, so they received a nail trim, paw fur shave (they listened when I said I only wanted the bottoms shaved, and to leave the rest of the fur that pops up between their toes be), ear cleaning, teeth brushing, shampoo, condition, and blow dry. They came out looking wonderful and seemed happy enough (neither one of them is very socialized, so we were a bit anxious waiting for them, but they were just fine). The price was right, the dogs looked good, and everyone was very nice. I don't plan on professionally getting the boys groomed more than 1-2 times a year, but we'd definitely use Zen Animals again. read more

I dropped my 13 yr old Havanese Lily at 10am for her appointment and was told the grooming would take 2-3 hrs. 4.5 hrs later I finally got a call saying she was ready. I was already anxious as she had not been walked since 8:30am. When I arrived to pick her up, the front desk person brought out the wrong dog. Turns out Lily had been "in the back" for the past 4.5 hrs and had not even been bathed. I asked to take her for a walk so she could finally relieve herself. I brought her back to finish her grooming and waited for another hour (meaning she could've been done in an hour...). The cut was completely mediocre, I asked them to fix her legs, feet and ears which they did. When I went to pay with my credit card they said they don't take cards. Incredibly unprofessional, poor customer service and tho I was given a 10% discount for the drama I would never trust my dog here again. read more

I am writing my review while this experience is still fresh on my mind. I went to this place to drop off my dog while I went on vacation for a week. I initially thought this would be a good idea since the owner was texting me. I could not be anymore wrong. The first warning sign was that when we dropped off our dog, they charged us upfront for all his services (getting a wash + the stay). Everywhere else I've used, they charge at the end-like normal hotels. And no, this was not for a deposit, they just want all the money upfront. The owner text me and told me that they take pick ups in the evening, between 7-9pm. My fiance went there at 7:30 and stood in front of the store for ovefr 30 min, ringing the doorbell and calling with no one answering. I called there as well, and couldn't even leave a voice message because their VM box was full. I finally heard back from the owner and she told me she'd call the man who sleeps downstairs to open the door. So we go back and when we see my dog, he's afraid to leave his little crate. Also-I brought our own crate, toys and dog bed since this was my dog's first time there-All of his belongings were misssing and his leash was ripped. The man there, Ivan called the owner, who could not account for the missing items or what happened. I also realized that even though I paid for him to get a wash, he was still dirty. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN AND I WARN EVERYONE ELSE NOT TO GIVE THIS PLACE BUSINESS. read more

I was told $170 once I picked up my dog with uneven choppy cut I was told it's now $185 because he needed a matted conditioner... never asked for that. They do not except cards was not told that until I was it was time to pick up my dog only accept Zelle cash app. Was having a very hard time making a payment through those apps after 30 minutes Gabrielle decided to give me the app by texting me I would never recommend or go back there. I had to go home and change because they did not brush my dog. I also had to let them know that he had spikes of hair sticking up that they had to fix all $185. I am absolutely upset.
