Old School burger with cheese and a side of fries.
Double D.

Excellent burger. Fries great too! Very friendly! Nice & clean atmosphere. Stopped on our way back from Broken Bow. On our permanent stopping place.

We 100% recommend stopping here to eat. Best burgers! The burgers were so good, the fries were amazing and my picky kids were very happy with the grilled cheese and chicken strips. Husband LOVED the rattlesnake eggs. Everything was excellent. The staff was welcoming and you felt like this was exactly where you were meant to eat today. There is a fun little free arcade also that added a fun aspect to our lunch. Very family friendly. This is really a must stop place if you are anywhere near Bonham. We might just drive back up from Dallas! It's so good .

Where do I start.. just wow. Best customer service I've had in awhile. We got the double burgers with everything on it, bacon, onions, cheese, tomato, lettuce and you can't forget the pickles. The burger meat had incredible flavor you can still taste under all the toppings! Tried some chicken tenders and they were so juicy! The restaurant is so unique with all the old fashion advertising signs on the walls. Next time I'm in Bonham you best believe I'm stopping by Mudbone.

We drove from Prosper 1hr just to try the burgers and it did not disappoint! Not only are the burgers amazing but the sauces they have are over the top outstanding! Smoked Jalapeño sauce was amazing. I would say everything is a slightly on the salty side but I loved it! Definitely worth the drive from North Dallas if you want unique and tasty burger! Don't forget to try all the sauces.

The man was real nice but the food was real skinny. Brahms makes a better burger so does sonic for the money. Be ready to pay two prices

1836 Cafe - Biscuit, bacon, egg and cheese

1836 Cafe

(55 reviews)

Saw a post on FB about 1836 Cafe, so my DIL & I decided on a breakfast roadtrip... what a wonderful…read moredecision. 1836 Cafe is everything you imagine if the words "hole in a wall greasy spoon" are used. Small interior offering 4 tables and a line up of bar stools. The kitchen and pantry are fully exposed. We were greeted by a gent opening the door for us and friendly hellos! The menu provides a wide selection of country fair with twists on cosmopolitan selections (the country bennie is a must). No pre-cut fries on site,! Everything looked and tastes freshly prepared. Will definitely make the trek again!

1836 Café in Bells, TX is a true hidden gem and worth every stop. From the moment I walked up to…read morethe door, the smell alone let me know I was in for something special. Inside, the atmosphere is small-town comfort at its best -- casual, welcoming, and the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. I ordered the Chicken Bennie, and it was absolutely outstanding. A homemade biscuit served as the base, soft and fluffy on the inside with just the right touch of crisp on the outside. On top of that came perfectly fried chicken tenders, a runny egg that tied everything together, and a generous pour of rich, savory sausage gravy. It all came with a side of crispy fried potatoes that were cooked just right -- golden and flavorful without being greasy. Every bite was pure comfort food perfection. The coffee was smooth and satisfying, the kind that pairs perfectly with a hearty breakfast. Service was excellent as well -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell the staff really cares about their customers and their food. Overall, 1836 Café is exactly what you hope to find in a small-town spot: great food, great people, and an atmosphere that keeps you wanting to come back. I'll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone passing through or nearby.
