We were camping at nearby Bonham State Park. I like to try out local restaurants while traveling, especially pizza and barbecue. So gave Juba a try. I ordered a small thick crust beef and jalapeño pizza. It was okay. Not great. Nothing to write home about. Three stars seemed a bit harsh, so I gave them a four, but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to go back to Juba. read more

Myself along with a few buddies came here on our way home from vacation. It was great! It's a neat place. I had the bbq chicken pizza and it was great! I got the medium and it was 8 slices! Worth your $. They even have 8 ball and other games. We may make this our spot if we come back down here! The only complaint I have is that sauce costs $2 per cup. I wanted to love this place so much. My coworker and I have heard great things about this place since we started working in Bonham, however, we were very disappointed. We came around 12:30pm on a Friday and the place had about two tables of people dining in and a bar with about 6-8 people. My friend and I simply ordered an appetizer and two burgers (no fries, no drink included, etc) and our total was $33 without the tip. The number we were handed to set at our table was disgusting and had a thick black tar substance that transferred to our hands and the table we sat at (it never got picked up the entire time we ate here by the way). Our appetizer that we ordered was supposed to come with fried pickles and fried jalapeño slices, it came with about 5 pickle slices and tasted like whatever it was fried in hadn't been cleaned in awhile. The wait time for our appetizers and two burgers literally took 30 minutes and when it finally came out it looked like it had been sitting out for some time. I personally got the CPC burger with a fried egg, meat, and cheese - it tasted like metal and the egg was already broken and had made the bread and basket paper underneath soggy before I even took a bite. My friend got a chili burger and hers couldn't even be picked up with the amount of cold chili sitting on top. This place was so gross and unfortunately I do not recommend ever coming to eat here. Perhaps the pizza is better and maybe it's a good place to drink, but 10/10 would NOT recommend. While the pizza is great however in between 6:30 and 7:30 pm Saturday evening while visiting it was not too busy however around that time the crowd gets a little more rowdy due to alcohol which is normal and expected but it wasn't very family oriented at that point bc there were people arguing and yelling profanities and we had small children with us and they only really have 2-3 games for kids only issue is smaller kids have trouble with 2 of the three which gets them bored pretty fast and I feel once served at the tables no one really checks on you beyond that to see if you need anything else unless you go up to them and I feel that though they may be nice to customers I feel they focus more on the bar crowd which I get but they tend to phase out families and that there should definitely be more of a dress code bc of families going in not to mention a side of ranch for the pizza is $2 each which is crazy!! read more

So we're travelers for a medical company. We drive all over the dang place for days scanning patients in rural areas. We eat at a lot of truck stops and it's horrible! But we found this place and thought it looked awesome and it was 9:30, and they were still open when we got into town! So we went on over. Online it said they close at 11 but because it was a Sunday, they told us they closed at 10. So we ordered super quickly. They seemed slightly annoyed that we came in 30 minutes before close, and it was obvious they had started shutting everything down...we promise we didn't mean to we were just hungry and had been on the road all day. I ordered and then paid and sat down and my driver just stood there for a while waiting, and no one came to get his order. I had to call them, because the phone was at the register, to get someone to come up and acknowledge him. I ordered spaghetti and a salad and my driver got baked or fried ravioli. We paid and we sat and waited. They brought up a bag of 3 containers, bag was tied. My driver asked if that was everything and the lady said yes, so we grabbed our food and left. We got to the hotel and went to split up the food and come to find out, the 3 containers were not everything. One of the containers was silverware and napkins. My food was in there but his was not! It was barely 10pm, we called 2-3 times with no answer. We had patients to see in the morning so there wasn't much time to go find something else. I offered my driver half of my food but he declined politely. This REALLY upset me. No one should have to drive for hours and go without dinner, especially after paying for it. I just felt like it was a messy encounter altogether. The irritated attitudes of "why have you come in half an hour before close", the lack of communication and not coming up to take his order, the mishap with the 3 containers. I mean maybe that was our mistake, we probably should have checked the bag. But when you ask "Is this everything?" And someone says, "Yes." You assume that it is... Anyway. He went to bed hungry after paying for food he never got. That was the worst part about it. I hope they issued him a refund. Regarding the food. It was pretty good. The Caesar salad was fresh and the spaghetti was hot, the bread was toasted and flavorful. Honestly if it weren't for the above things I totally would have rated 5 stars! I'm not thinking we will be back, just because I don't like feeling like I'm annoying someone when I want to order food 30 mins before close because I'm starving and have been on the road all day. If it had been 10 minutes, fine. But half an hour?! Just made me feel guilty for being hungry. read more

Very large bar area. Decided to try the pizza. Ordered Italian sausage, bacon and mushrooms. Nice alternative to Pizza Hut or Domino's in town. Pizza came out a little doughy. The crust was plain so ordered some garlic butter which ended up being garlic margarine. They need to offer seasoned crusts. Fountain drinks are self serve. UPDATE (01/14/2018): this place used to be fantastic. The first time my family came here I left a great review (below) because everything was so good, and the service was great. Now the few times we come in to eat, the staff is horrible. It seems like an inconvenience to take our order, or heaven forbid get a salad or appetizer out first with our meal. It's happened a couple of times prior to this review and I thought maybe I caught them on a bad night. Can't stand it anymore, way to take a great thing and run it into the ground with horrible service. The food is still good, but not worth dealing with the attitudes of the wait staff. Went there yesterday with my family. We purchased a large pizza, cheesy bread rolls, 6 bone in wings (Thai chili), 3 drinks and a drink from the bar and it was only $28 bucks!!!!! I can't get over how good everything was! The cheesy rolls were AMAZING!!! Our thin crust pepperoni was very flavorful, crispy and delicious, the wings were fantastic as well! The atmosphere was very well designed and pleasing to the eye. It does not look run down and dated like some places in Bonham. Very friendly staff. Avoid this place at all costs! Every time I order on the phone or in the restaurant and start to pay, the total is way higher than the website or their menus. Apparently they are too inept to match their registers with the posted prices. I just ordered lunch and it should have been $8.65. They said I owed $13.76. I asked how because that's not what it said on their website. The manager argued and said they have two websites, an old one and a new one and it's not their fault if I'm on the new one. I'm in town doing some work at the VA. The bartender highly recommended the philly cheese steak sandwich. So we ordered some wings and the sandwich. The wings were really good We had the mango habanero and some regular buffalo. You cant go wrong with the wings. The sandwich on the other hand was a disgrace to Philadelphia and America. So I ordered a meatball sub and some cheesy garlic rolls, Chad the delivery guy shows up gives me my food. He didn't even offer my change back go figure, so basically I paid $20.00 for a meatball sub at 6 rolls. So i open the food up and it was a sad situation, there was a pickle next to a soggy bread that was soaked in pickle juice! Burnt meat balls with barely any sauce or cheese!!!! The cheesy garlic rolls wasn't cheesy cause the gave me regular garlic rolls and no Marinara... I called and spoke to Sabrina, she was rude and acted as if there was no issues wt the food but never the less they replaced it not any better! They actually brought the cheesy garlic rolls but there burnt, GO FIGURE The meatball sub is pitiful no better then the first one only difference is that isn't soaked in pickle juice!!! This is the best pizza I've ever had and I'm in my 70's. It's even better than Pizza King in Galesburg, Michigan which was the best till Juba! One major drawback was no anchovies, but I'm sure they'll see the errors of their ways. The buffet for lunch is also great but lacks variety. The pizza is so good that it makes up for any shortcomings. Oh ya and the staff is always totally awesome. Do your selves a favor Bonham try Juba's pizza! read more

I've been here a few times and I like the pizza. Its by far better than Domino's or Pizza Hut. The service though has seemed to gone down hill some compared to when it opened. I guess I would keep it as a place to eat and drink if I had someone from out of town with me but it wouldn't be a regular stop for me anymore. We just moved to the area and decided after a long day of meetings I would just order a pizza for diner instead of cooking. I placed my order online and went to go pick it up. I went in with my kids to pick up our pizza and the order was ready to go. The problem is when we came in the staff were very unprofessional. The poor guy checking us out looked embarrassed. The staff was cussing up a storm and talking super ghetto. At one point I looked around the corner so they could see they had a customer. They looked at me then continued cussing and talking very trashy. My daughter later made the comment to daddy about how the store owed her a bunch of nickels and she lost count because of all the bad words. Were talking very disgusting words.
