Nice place to stop on a road trip
    Aaron H.

Great spot for food, drinks and great service! Was on the road and needed a good spot to chill for a bit, have a beer and get some food. It was 80 degrees on a late December afternoon. Parking lot was busy and plenty of people on the patio. Good sign. Walked in and was confused on the layout. Plenty of TV's, one bar straight in front so I bellied up. Promptly welcomed by Sheena and offered a drink. The beer list was impressive with many great selections from all over the world. Also - this is a brewery and their beer is very good and some uniquely German styles. The menu is extensive and the food that was churning out some good looking burgers, pizza and other pub style bites. After much consideration, ordered a personal pizza and it was ready in 10 minutes and devoured in half the time. I've added this to my list and another "I'll be back!"

My favorite place to go. Amazing food and I love their in house brewed beer. Always have had a good experience here. Very chill vibes, great place to go for a fun and chill time.

Screw sticking up in chair seat.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! We waited nearly 15 minutes for menus then our server, Jessica, never so much as cracked a smile. She looked surly. We finally got our drinks and ordered. Well, 4 of the 5 of us ordered and she rushed away. We had to corral another server and told her Jessica missed an order despite us calling after her as she rushed away from the table. She finally got the last order. She never checked back about refills or if we wanted another drink. We waited over an hour for food!! One person got a chicken tandoori wrap and it was loaded with UNpitted green olives. He nearly broke a tooth on his first bite. Someone else got a burger and it was like a hockey puck. Another person got fish and chips and the fish was WAY overcooked. Dark brown in color. I got a Ruben and it had two thin little pieces of corned beef lunch meat. It was the thinnest Ruben I have ever had. One person ordered a pizza with a side salad. It took quite a while to ever get the pizza. He asked for a box and Jessica brought him a styrofoam to go box despite us seeing people leaving with actual pizza boxes. We asked for the check and waited nearly 15 minutes and we had to corral another server and ask her to remind Jessica that we were still waiting for the check. We were literally ready to just walk out. The total bill was $145. I left 0 tip. We would NEVER go back here. Our entire ordeal took over 2 hours. Absolutely ridiculous!!! Oh, and this was sticking up in the seat of one of the chairs.

Well..... After the third try of sitting on a table and waiting about 15 minutes for anyone to greet me or tell me if I need a little help front. Or getting a money for myself I think i'm given up. My very first time I came in to hear. How about too much ago? Was someone pleasant comma I would see the timely comma given a menu and my order taken period I got my pizza which was pretty good and as well as my flight obears which I found on satisfactory after hard day's work Forward to today, about two months later and three different times I guess I wasn't enough people at the table to be noticed period. So if you are from out of town or have them get more and want to try this place, make sure you are at 1 person by themselves. Because they don't seem to like their tables, take it up. I'm not sure what's going on but sayanara. This is a small town but there's still more and better choices. The parking lot is very cramped/ limited to finding a parking place if you happen to catch the wrong time of the rush and not to mention it's dark, Lot of electricity saved by not having outside lighting.

What a cool place! The ambiance is casual-pub fun! Homemade sodas and beers. Great food and service. We started with fried green beans and fried jalapeños. The green beans stole the show. I'd go back simply for those and a Texas pecan beer. We tried the hangover burger, spinach artichoke pizza, crawfish pizza (The Beef g Easy), and fried oysters. Everything was delicious. The pizza crust was amazing. I've never had seafood on pizza, and enjoyed the experience.

Been here twice now and it's a must in the area. Ambiance and food are spectacular, haven't had a bad experience with that yet. Staff is busy and running around like crazy so not always the best service but it's great that they are busy! Will definitely be returning in the future for some great drinks and food.

Stopped in here during a storm chasing trip. It was worth the trip down from Durant to check this place out. The menu has a lot of great stuff on it and they have a good number of interesting beers on tap. The bartender (guy with a beard) was very friendly to this out of towner. The chili was excellent. I look forward to going back here the next time I'm in town. Great vibe, friendly folks.

I was the only Hispanic person at the bar, and the bartender, Kayla, treated me noticeably differently than the white guests around us. She was cold, dismissive, and barely acknowledged me, while offering warm, friendly service to others. A friend of mine, who is also Hispanic, received the same dismissive treatment. In contrast, our white friends were served with smiles, conversation, and full attention. The difference in service felt too obvious to ignore--and it felt racially motivated. What's even more concerning is that after sharing my experience with a few of Kayla's coworkers, they admitted this isn't the first time she's provided less-than-stellar service. That kind of behavior, especially when it appears to follow a pattern, shouldn't be tolerated in any professional environment. I truly hope the management at Rendezvous takes this seriously. Every guest deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race or background.

In the US, calling yourself a Nepali restaurant means taking a standard North Indian menu and adding momo and some Chinese dishes. In Nepal, they eat a lot more than momo. Mountainous regions in poor countries often use forms of protein that Americans don't particularly care for. (Fill in the blanks yourself on this one.) Doing that in the U.S. would be commercial suicide. At one time, Mount Everest had goat intestine on the menu. Goat intestine is relatively un-shocking given other items that Nepalis hunt or butcher and eat. The goat intestines did not sell well and had to be removed from the menu. So mostly what you get here is a plain old North Indian restaurant. Fortunately, Mount Everest is a very good plain old North Indian restaurant. * * * The headline story here is spice. A. Lots of it. B. Not your standard Anglo-Indian curry house spice mixes. I ordered my eggplant with a heat of 4. A heat of 5 is their !!NUCLEAR!! option. 4 is their "Commands Respect- Listen to Me Baby" level. Mount Everest's 4 is most other Indians restaurants 38. Steam came out of ears. Steam came out of eyes. I was amazed my metal container was able to hold that dish. I set a Grayson County speed record for most Naan consumed in the shortest amount of time ... As vast amounts of naan were stuffed into my flaming mouth to lower the temperature. * * * I LOVED IT. I WOULD DO THAT AGAIN IN A NEW YORK MINUTE. * * * If molten lava isn't your thing Ordering your food with a heat of 0 or 1 Will give you a nice lovely very mild dish. Mount Everest caters to all tastes. * * * The spicing here is unusual. This particularly shows up in the salty lassis. I couldn't tell you what the flavor combo was. But it was intriguing and wonderful. That is another dish I would order in a New York minute. * * * Speaking of non-New-York topics, Mount Everest does its best to fit into a Texas-Oklahoma aesthetic. There is a pool table. For all I know, Texoma is full of Indian restaurants with pool tables. But that was the first time, I had ever seen such a thing. They have country-western style decoration, and guitars on the walls to help set a mood. They serve cold beer. I am not used to Texas Ice Houses that also serve Tikka Masala and Aloo Chana. But this is a concept I could definitely learn to like. * * * Overall, this is a first rate establishment. And if you want enough inner fire to be able to climb the Himalayas without wearing a parka, Order any dish with a heat of 5. The snow will melt on either side of you as you pass.
