This place is always pretty solid. It's the second time I've tried their salads & the size is nice compared to the price. They don't have an NA menu, but the staff is always friendly & the place is very open & clean. Def recommend, just still searching for my go to meal here.

Wonderful time here with group of friends last night after Hot Summer Nights performance! Great hummus plate and Brussels sprouts. Wish there was a vegan burger! Our server Parker was amazing, friendly and kind service!

Fantastic location in a historic building filled with charm! Nick was a fantastic server and bartender. We made a special trip back to this great bar-restaurant after a stellar experience but were sadly met by tremendously simplified menu. The monkey balls (stuffed and fried mushrooms), fried mozzarella, onion rings, jalapeño poppers, and fish n chips.... All gone! our server, Nick, was great... but we're not coming back for the menu that's left ...we had nachos and two types of salads. They were good, but not out of the ordinary. Next time we come through Sherman we will check the website with hope that the old favorites make a come back. Otherwise, we bid the old iron post farewell. We will miss you.

Salad! It was fresh and good.

There aren't many restaurants in Sherman with vegan or good veggie options, so finding this place and being pleasantly surprised by the menu made me so happy. My amazing waiter even mentioned that I could make recommendations for possible new options, which truly made my day. I realized I'd been missing out by assuming there wasn't anything vegan on the menu. They even have a cauliflower steak dish that I'm saving for a date night with my husband. I brought my girls, and we all really enjoyed our meals. This place has quickly become a new family favorite - I might just go once a week for the hummus alone!

Started with chips and hot sauce. 7 layer dip appetizer was mouthwatering Veggie Quesadillas as main course Chicken Quesadillas too. Chicken Fried Steak with French fries and a side salad was exceptional. One anomaly is they don't have mashed potatoes!!! Weird They do offer a baked potato. Our waitress was so caring, knowledgeable, and talented. The atmosphere and vibe is everything you could hope for in a restaurant like this. One guy next to us eats here several times a week. Next visit will include one of their famous club sandwiches and a classic burger. It's located just off Highway 75 on Texoma Parkway I recommend you add this to your Must Try Soon list I guarantee you will love it and return quickly See you there!

The entry is as though it's a restaurant, primarily, but to me I was still visiting a brewery regardless. Beer menu had a variety yet was too minimalist in info. Zero descriptions. (Pic) Tried Sherman Bock, Kilt Switch and Dubai Chocolate Stout. Sherman Bock was my fellow beer drinkers choice. A solid bock, easy drinking type for a broad section of people. Kilt Switch is a Wee Heavy Scotch Ale that is hidden and buried in the menu simply under Ambers. WhatTF?! It's a 2 time GABF medal winner (2025 Silver 2018 Bronze) and the taste of match! Why not highlight it!? 903? Easy drinking, which is dangerous at 10.5%, and one not to pass up if you like Scotch Ales. Dubai Chocolate Stout 9%. As pics show, zero description of beer or ingredients are offered. It was a good "special" Stout style. Bit sweet to me and reminiscent of winter choco/fruit stouts. Good in its category. Just not my preferred style. Side note: Menu has another unlabled GABF medal winner under stouts but no visitor would know unless they ask a lot of questions or are a beer nerd (me?).

Inside, the atmosphere is small-town comfort at its best -- casual, welcoming, and the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. I ordered the Chicken Bennie, and it was absolutely outstanding. A homemade biscuit served as the base, soft and fluffy on the inside with just the right touch of crisp on the outside. On top of that came perfectly fried chicken tenders, a runny egg that tied everything together, and a generous pour of rich, savory sausage gravy. It all came with a side of crispy fried potatoes that were cooked just right -- golden and flavorful without being greasy. Every bite was pure comfort food perfection. The coffee was smooth and satisfying, the kind that pairs perfectly with a hearty breakfast. Service was excellent as well -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell the staff really cares about their customers and their food. Overall, 1836 Café is exactly what you hope to find in a small-town spot: great food, great people, and an atmosphere that keeps you wanting to come back. I'll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone passing through or nearby.

I was the only Hispanic person at the bar, and the bartender, Kayla, treated me noticeably differently than the white guests around us. She was cold, dismissive, and barely acknowledged me, while offering warm, friendly service to others. A friend of mine, who is also Hispanic, received the same dismissive treatment. In contrast, our white friends were served with smiles, conversation, and full attention. The difference in service felt too obvious to ignore--and it felt racially motivated. What's even more concerning is that after sharing my experience with a few of Kayla's coworkers, they admitted this isn't the first time she's provided less-than-stellar service. That kind of behavior, especially when it appears to follow a pattern, shouldn't be tolerated in any professional environment. I truly hope the management at Rendezvous takes this seriously.
