Great burgers & fries. The bus are homemade by Mom's Bakery. Mom's make the deserts which are also awesome. I usually get the strawberry cake! The service is also fabulous. Went to MGs for lunch today. And it was so crowded. It was all you can eat hamburger day. And then hey had a very long line of people ordering. I didn't get the all you can eat because all I can eat is one. But I did get the burger and onion rings and it was very good. My husband got the Chicken fried steak and he said it was very good and he really liked the okra. A friend went with us and she got the steak sandwich which she liked too. I love the rustic car theme they have at MGs and since it is a family restaurant it is filled with families and children enjoying their day. Children never bothered me in a restaurant but if you want a quieter place you might not like the noise. The employees who work there are so nice too. A great family restaurant in my opinion with great food. Good times for everyone! read more

Well, yeah, I mean it was a hamburger and fries and it was very good like always. The service consisted of a cashier at register and somebody bringing the food out to you and then you never saw him again so just the way you want it. Now the ambience the place is an old gas station and I guess it's OK. I like the old place better because it was more on top of each other and I know that's the reason why they switched to the new place, but I kinda like the old crowded place. But other than that, I still like MG's I mean, I drive over 60 miles to eat here so yeah, I like it! read more

Went here for the first time in a long time. Underwhelmed is an understatement. For a place that literally only does burgers and fries you'd think they would be better. Burger had zero seasoning and was dry, fries had the strangest flavor. My guess as someone who's been in the service industry for a long time is the fryer oil is probably old and needs to be changed. Not terrible just disappointing for a place that is supposed to be known for burgers. Just some of my personal observations. It was busy, but I ate about 3 bites and just said no thanks. You know what? I'm ashamed that I have never been here. We were trying to go to the 903 brewery but it was so packed that we thought we'd have better luck here. Although MG's was also very packed on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30, I'm glad we stuck it out because the burgers were great! I forget the car my burger was named after, but rest assure it had a nicely seasoned FRESH burger patty, bacon and cheese and a smear of bbq sauce. The burger can only be described as a really awesome backyard burger. Simple ingredients that we're all familiar with done extremely well. The clear standout, however, was the bun, that definitely made these burgers special. The only critique I really had were the fries, which I found to be not as crispy as I would like and lacked seasoning. Still, this is a place I will return to when I'm in Sherman. read more

The buns are fresh made. Beef is very good grade with great flavor. We had eaten here when they were still at the old location. Several years ago. Everything was cooked to order. The chicken fried steak was a generic frozen steak, that was a downer, good but not what was expected. Tots were cooked so crispy outside, soft inside. Decor was great. It's in a converted garage with all the car memorabilia anyone could want. Clean and temperature was just right, even with the door open. Wait staff were friendly and quick. read more

First stop on our road trip and we loved this place ! Super cute retro vibe burger joint with plenty of sitting. Burger was good with all the traditional toppings. Onion rings crispy , zucchini fries were excellent. Fresh made fries. The patty was a little generic , but overall the burger was tasty. Bun held up really well. Service was fantastic. Excellent burgers, fries, onion rings, salads and fried okra to die for! A local joint with LOTs of locals that frequent this restaurant because they know a good thing when they have it. The burgers are named after cars and quite a variety of options. Haven't eaten anything we didn't like here after 4 visits. Service is excellent, they are very attentive and accommodating. My hamburger was delicious. So refreshing to eat a real old-fashioned burger instead of these "gourmet " ones that hide the real taste. My only comment was the meat could have used a little more salt, but that was an easy fix. I never comment about my beverage but the MG's tea is excellent. The receptionist at the counter was friendly and outgoing. We really felt welcome. The restaurant Itself is an old service station from at least the 60's. It is adorned with vintage cars and car parts. MG's off both the highway so follow your gps. You will think you are lost. But then suddenly there it is. Very unique place with great decor! I wasn't expecting the collection of great artifacts that they have! The food had generous portions that could be shared, the onion rings were fresh, not frozen. Wow!!!!! We went to MG'S today for the first time. I dont know where to start. What a hidden gem, unsure how we never have been to this restaurant. The restaurant is like a time machine back to when days were simpler. The establishment is very clean and kept up with. The staff were very nice and made sure all our needs were taken care of. The food was extremely good and had plenty of flavor to it. We ordered The Limousin burger,The Buick burger, The Dodge, and the kids wanted the kids' meal, which was a hot dog, and the other had chicken strips. We also had onion rings and French fries, which were very good. The only thing that was off was the chicken strips, which were overcooked and dry. I have eaten at hundreds of hamburger places in Texas, and I can say MG's is in the top five by far. Thank you for such a great time and awesome burgers. We will be back again soon. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite as we are traveling back to Dallas. My wife who doesn't normally like chef salad really enjoyed her a lot. I had the Buick, which was phenomenal and my son had the Mercedes, which is also delicious. The rings were delightful as well as the french fries. The hidden gem is the bread.
