Always love the food here it's always fresh and they have great sweet tea. I've tried a lot of the menu but my favorite is the Club Wrap. Occasionally the line moves pretty slow but the staff is shaky nice. I did like the interior feel of the restaurant better before the remodel though. read more

The food was on time, exactly what we ordered, service was friendly and efficient , the food was prepared and packaged to go so carefully that the order remained warm until we got hour an hour later. Went to McAlisters today for the first time since they did the renovations. And it did not disappoint. I love the layout of the new look and the food was delicious as usual. Still my number one restaurant! I did learn that they are wanting people with online or call in orders to pick them up at the window instead of coming inside. From what I gathered while I was in line. They also have a kiosk when you walk in the door that you can place your order on if you do not wish to stand in line for dine in orders or to go orders. I ordered a sandwich from this location inside years ago and just came from there for my second time again in many years. Your first question to me is why such a long duration of time between two visits? The answer has to do with the same reason for both visits... The food was extremely expensive but good. The guy who greeted me and took my order had a bug up his butt a mile long. Boarder line jerk. No smile, no hello, no how can I help you but are you a bonus customer (or something like that). His energy was brutal especially as the first person who spoke to me in 15? Years. Same as the first time. Then one guy as I'm eating has to ask questions like Is everything great? I ate, for the first time at McAlister's, on July 4 in Sherman, Texas, with a friend while taking a break from shopping. The food and service were great! Yesterday, Sunday, I called 3 times (about 1:30) to order but the phone just rang. Today, I tried 5 times after 1:00. The first 3 times, it rang till it timed out, the last 2, it was busy so I made a trip to the drive through to order but was told it was only for pick up orders. I was informed that the Reuben sandwich does tend to get a bit soggy and they are aware of this...BUT they are willing to go above and beyond to make it ANY way I would like, or even remake it according to my preference! This is going to be a quick review because it was a quick experience. Even though my experience was brief, they deserve 4 stars from me. We don't have a McAlister's Deli in Jacksonville, FL which is where I'm from; however, there are loads of them in Mississippi and I visit family there all the time. I absolutely love the chain! While visiting my daughter in Texas, we passed a McAlister's and I just had to ask my daughter to stop. We had recently eaten, but I can never pass up a chance to have the lemonade from McAlister's. It is the best from any restaurant I have been. So my pregnant daughter waited in the car with my (then) 15 month old granddaughter who was passed out in her car seat while I ran in to grab us each a large lemonade. The restaurant was spotless. The employees were all smiling. The young lady at the cash register was very friendly. I was in and out in mere minutes with a lemonade for me and one for my daughter. Soooo good and perfectly refreshing! I hadn't had one in quite a while, so I felt like I was in heaven! As I said, short experience, but a wonderful one. When in Texas visiting my daughter and grandchildren in the future, I won't hesitate to return! read more

I used to love this place. Food is good but service is definitely lacking. Some time back, I placed a curbside order. I arrived and checked in on the app. After waiting for a very long time, I called the restaurant. I was told they place all the curbside orders in the mobile pickup area and some girl had come in and taken them all. They had not bothered to contact any of us who placed curbside orders and I had to ask for my order to be remade. I decided to try them again today. We sat down at 4:50. I noticed about 5:15 the people who had ordered right before us had already eaten and were leaving and we still had no food. At about 5:17 someone came to our table and asked if we ever received our food. We had not. About 15 minutes later our food finally came, with no apology for the extensive wait.
