Don't get ripped off like we did. This is from a sourdough bread bowl with three spoons of soup.

We ordered a bread bowl with corn chowder and a sandwich. Two drinks and a cookie and it was 30 bucks plus tip. When we got the bread bowl my wife was like look at how little soup is in the bread. There was literally about 3 spoonfuls of corn chowder. I went to the manager named Carlos and showed him the size of the bread plus. He said sorry. Nothing I can do. I ordered a bowl of the corn chowder which had at least 10 times the soup for the same price. True, we did get a loaf of bread but guess what came as a side on the bread bowl and the bowl of soup? You guessed it. More bread. So just wanted to say while the food was decent, the managers lackadaisical flippant response to my complaint insures we won't be back. Thanks again Carlos. Great job. Excellent customer skills.

Spinach avocado and egg white sandwich

I used to come you all the time, Since it's convenient close to home but they have now discontinued the potato soup which is about the only thing we come for. Also the Internet speed has considerably slowed down it's almost unusable. Avoid this place So we will have to find a different place to visit.

Cinnamon crunch bagel they forgot the cream cheese

Seriously open my bag when I got home and the bagel has no wrapper or cream cheese on it. The bagel felt like it's a hockey puck. The sausage and egg bagel was fine. Would not go back! Check your food before you head home!

Empty but attitudes here

Food, amazing; the people who work here, especially in the evenings, NOT SO MUCH! The people are rude, arrogant, disrespectful and act like they don't work for the customers. IDK, not even a thank you, no eye contact or smile, and when you ask a question it's like I've taken time out of their day. I would have given it a 1 star but the food is so good

I will never go back to this place again. Had a really bad experience with one of the staff. Now before hand I am 300 pd guy 5'8. I walk up to the register to place my order and ask for a grilled cheese sandwich and add turkey (wanted some protein). I then ask for a small thing of Mac and cheese. The guy said "are you sure that's a lot of food already". I said yes I'm sure and he made the statement again. Now normally this would not have bothered me since I've been a large guy all my life but I've made an effort to better myself and have dropped 70 pounds in a little over a year. So it bothered me and I felt like he was fat shaming me for my order. I put a picture of what I ordered so you can see how small the sandwich was but to him was to much food for me to order. Sad because I like their food.

Put half in half for me when I told them not to
Nick D.

Good muffin but horribly made sandwiches and coffee. Easy order shouldn't be this hard to prepaid

Their kiosks don't work and their employees are as slow as molasses. We walked out today without ordering after waiting 15 minutes.

Menu was vast- featuring…read morelettuce wraps, protein bowls, entrees, vegan options, teas, coffees, smoothies, frozen meat you can buy and take home, a salad cooler, juice cooler, and so much more! You order at the front and they bring it out. I had a roasted chicken quinoa bowl, with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, arugula, feta, and their signature lemon basil dressing! I ordered a side of avocado lime dressing, and had a green tea with lavender (unsweetened), and added stevia. The only thing is that the staff kinda doesn't say much. The girl who rang me up didn't know what the dressing was on the bowl, seemed to not know the menu well, and was friendly enough, but just needed more training or something. I'm a foodie so- I studied the menu beforehand. I used to own a 4 star in Louisiana. I knew every aspect of menu. I overtipped her up front. She brought the food but didn't check on me. I had to ask for things. I really didn't care because I love to eat in peace. But they weren't busy enough to be so.... I don't know... a little snooty? They spoke a lot to each other. The food was made where you could see it. All sustainable, farm to table, organic, etc... when I left, I asked for a to go container. Another girl brought it while the main girl was sweeping all around me (kind of a no no). The other girl was cute and more friendly. Seemed comfortable. I even was going to buy a tin of their tea but it wasn't marked. I asked the main girl how much it was. She said she would check, kept sweeping and doing her side work, and didn't come tell me the price until I was leaving (a sale lost). It's my 3rd time there and the staff is always kinda like that... almost as of they expect you to know the menu yourself. But when I left, one of the chefs opened the door and walked out with me. He was super nice. I guess it's hit and miss with the service but they do deliver it in a timely manner and it's super fresh. I just never let any of my servers hit the floor or greet a guest unless they could describe each dish with such detail that your mouth watered. I upsold. I checked on people and so did my staff. We asked questions and got to know our guests. But all in all this place I HIGHLY. recommend!!!!!!

A first rate coffee shop that puts the indie coffee shops of Austin to shame…read more And I should know - living in Austin and spending a lot of time in coffee shops. If Lettuce Indulge was in my hometown, it would be my number one hangout coffee shop. They specialize in very high quality straight up coffee, their own self-invented elaborate coffee drinks - and healthy main dishes. I did a straight up espresso and a chicken and good-for-you-stuff bowl. The straight up espresso was so good - I went for a second about twenty minutes later. I don't have a coffee taster's vocabulary - But this was a non-burnt, non-heavy, complicated, intriguing brew. It was not like any coffee I had had in a long time. * * * The chicken bowl beat the stupid stuff Starbucks sells you for lunch easily. My home coffee shops vary in the quality of their kitchens. There are some sandwiches and salads to die for. There is also a lot of mediocre stuff that makes Starbucks lunch look good. If my chicken bowl had been rated on an Austin scale from 1 to 10, It would have been a solid 8. I would be happy to eat that over and over and over again. * * * The room is fine. The folks who work there are super super friendly and super super nice. * * * The establishment closes on Sundays ... So I am going to guess that one of the owners or maybe a huge percentage of the staff are dedicated Christians. There is a lot of idealism in the craftsmanship that goes into the coffee. Same for the idealism that goes into the food. Plus the room has a very healthy vibe. There is a lot of virtue in this establishment. Virtue is a good thing.

I didn't get the all you can eat because all I can eat is one. But I did get the burger and onion rings and it was very good. My husband got the Chicken fried steak and he said it was very good and he really liked the okra. A friend went with us and she got the steak sandwich which she liked too. I love the rustic car theme they have at MGs and since it is a family restaurant it is filled with families and children enjoying their day. Children never bothered me in a restaurant but if you want a quieter place you might not like the noise. The employees who work there are so nice too. A great family restaurant in my opinion with great food. Good times for everyone!

A first rate Indian restaurant…read more They call themselves Nepali. And the entrepreneurs may easily be Nepali. In the US, calling yourself a Nepali restaurant means taking a standard North Indian menu and adding momo and some Chinese dishes. In Nepal, they eat a lot more than momo. Mountainous regions in poor countries often use forms of protein that Americans don't particularly care for. (Fill in the blanks yourself on this one.) Doing that in the U.S. would be commercial suicide. At one time, Mount Everest had goat intestine on the menu. Goat intestine is relatively un-shocking given other items that Nepalis hunt or butcher and eat. The goat intestines did not sell well and had to be removed from the menu. So mostly what you get here is a plain old North Indian restaurant. Fortunately, Mount Everest is a very good plain old North Indian restaurant. * * * The headline story here is spice. A. Lots of it. B. Not your standard Anglo-Indian curry house spice mixes. I ordered my eggplant with a heat of 4. A heat of 5 is their !!NUCLEAR!! option. 4 is their "Commands Respect- Listen to Me Baby" level. Mount Everest's 4 is most other Indians restaurants 38. Steam came out of ears. Steam came out of eyes. I was amazed my metal container was able to hold that dish. I set a Grayson County speed record for most Naan consumed in the shortest amount of time ... As vast amounts of naan were stuffed into my flaming mouth to lower the temperature. * * * I LOVED IT. I WOULD DO THAT AGAIN IN A NEW YORK MINUTE. * * * If molten lava isn't your thing Ordering your food with a heat of 0 or 1 Will give you a nice lovely very mild dish. Mount Everest caters to all tastes. * * * The spicing here is unusual. This particularly shows up in the salty lassis. I couldn't tell you what the flavor combo was. But it was intriguing and wonderful. That is another dish I would order in a New York minute. * * * Speaking of non-New-York topics, Mount Everest does its best to fit into a Texas-Oklahoma aesthetic. There is a pool table. For all I know, Texoma is full of Indian restaurants with pool tables. But that was the first time, I had ever seen such a thing. They have country-western style decoration, and guitars on the walls to help set a mood. They serve cold beer. I am not used to Texas Ice Houses that also serve Tikka Masala and Aloo Chana. But this is a concept I could definitely learn to like. * * * Overall, this is a first rate establishment. And if you want enough inner fire to be able to climb the Himalayas without wearing a parka, Order any dish with a heat of 5. The snow will melt on either side of you as you pass.
