I am on a fixed budget and needed an upgrade. The thing that I appreciated about Neil is that he is willing to work with you based on your budget and needs. You just have to communicate, open up a working dialogue, and hear out all the options. Neil found me a refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad with all the right features and software. He could have also sourced me a new gaming laptop with the best speeds and processing power but of course- out of my budget. If you get to know Neil, you realize he does care about his clients and wants to make things right. So far I am satisfied with my laptop computer and if I run into an issue I can always call him and he'll do his best to help - obviously within reason.

They quoted me $467 for the repair, which included a screen with the Apple logo. I paid a 50% deposit, and they ordered the part, which arrived in just one day. I dropped off the laptop in the morning and picked it up the same day--fully repaired and working perfectly! They also provided a 30-day warranty on labor and assured me the parts have a manufacturer warranty. To top it off, I received a 20% discount on labor for my next visit (not that I hope to need it anytime soon!). Ed was responsive on the phone and texted me when laptop was ready for pickup. Gancheng e-mailed me back the same day and told me that he would gladly come to my house to see if he could repair my computer. He also said if he could not fix it, I would not need to pay... Amazing. He came over the next day and spent 3+ hours repairing my computer. He was very nice and went out of his way to explain what he was doing and he took his time making sure that he was really fixing the problem. When I brought it back, I was charged an additional $60 to fix what should have already been resolved. What's most frustrating is that I couldn't get a clear explanation as to why I was being charged again for the same issue. If a repair doesn't hold up after a week, that should fall under some kind of workmanship guarantee--not an additional charge. I want to continue supporting this business because I've had good experiences in the past, but this situation felt unfair and left me questioning the quality and accountability of the repairs.

My phone itself worked fine, just needed the back fixed because I was worried I was gonna get cut or others if holding my phone. When I got my phone back, the back was fine, but then my phone started to shut off every 3 min or less, or overheat. I went back to see if they were there and ask, and they were not; they closed up shop because of a technical issue (it was on a sign that I read). I went back today to ask if they could fix it, and another employee was there, not the same one. I told her the same thing and asked if she could fix she said no, she can't fix it, only the guy can, and to come on Wednesday. I told her I needed the phone to be fixed right now because I use it for work, and she just said the same thing. Then I asked her for a refund, and she said I can't do that either. It really frustrated me a lot. I'm calm and very open-minded, but this whole interaction and service disappointed me. Like, what do you mean you don't know how to do a refund and can't fix it? I thought all employees from this place knew how to fix the phone, or if they didn't have the piece to recommend me somewhere else, but no. I opted out and told her I'm just gonna find somewhere to see if they could fix and I did. I went somewhere in Burlingame, and the nice gentleman took his time and told me what they did to my phone and showed me what they did, and apparently they burnt or broke a piece of wiring from my phone, causing it to overheat, with it leading to shut off. I was so mad when I found out, and more mad that I wasted my 147 bucks just for my phone to be broken. i aswell took photo of what they did. Again, never coming here again. I went in after the Apple store told me they'd do nothing to help me get a backup, and the best they could do was replace my phone with a new one for $600+, without any of my data. Anthony immediately gave me advice about how to attempt a backup, and walked me through getting an iCloud setup and attempting a backup. Unfortunately, the phone didn't stay on for long enough for the backup to complete. So he took it and removed all the water, then did a backup before attempting ANY other repairs as I had told him the most important thing was my data (I didn't ask him to do this - he just listened and understood what my priorities were). Then Anthony tested the phone fully and told me what other repairs would be required. All in all, fixed my phone back to perfect working order for much less than the cost Apple were going to charge, PLUS they saved all my data. Sweet Memory were reliable, quick to answer questions, and regularly gave me updates on exactly how it was going. Phone problems really ruin your week, but they made it much less painful.
