Second experience with Danny, Juan, and the crew doing maintenance on our large property, and once again, they did a fantastic job. They worked on our incredibly steep hillside, trimmed trees and shrubs, removed dead trees, climbed the scary-tall palms once again, and cleaned up everything before leaving. This time they were also using weed whackers 20 feet from my windows, and they draped tarps over the windows to protect them from errant flying rocks. The level of detail is just not seen in most landscape work I've ever experienced. Our neighbors across the street have had tree trimmers there for three days now, and it barely looks like anything has been done. Danny brought an entire crew and did the work on my 3/4 acre in eight hours in blazing heat. For almost two years, I've been slowly trying to find a reputable company to address overgrown vegetation on my property, including seven palm trees (pictures attached). During that time, I've reached out to MULTIPLE sources. Time and time again, the quote I received from MTC Tree Care stood out from the rest. They were offering the most competitive quote, not to mention that they ARE properly licensed to operate - you couldn't imagine some of the quotes I was receiving from "independent" contractors, ridiculous. Anyways, even after waiting almost a year and a half since I initially reached out to Danny (MTC Tree Care), he honored the original quote he gave me, allowing me to follow through with ease. In fact, his quote allowed me to follow through with additional work needed on my property. During the job, Danny and his crew were prompt, worked diligently, and very respectful to my neighbors. Admittedly during the job, there were things that needed further addressing, adding onto the cost of the job. HOWEVER, Danny was very understandable with my position and WORKED with me. A line of communication was ALWAYS open between me and Danny, which was reassuring during the entire process. I might add that Danny had to make a quick trip out of state to address something. Yet, he was on the phone with me inquiring on how I liked the job AND even stopped by the home to survey the progress and see what needed to be done for job completion. In the end, Danny and his crew did me a SOLID by taking on this job. In fact, my neighbor was very impressed with the job and looking to hiring MTC Tree Care for his needs in the near future as well! The pictures I've added do not do it justice. I'm hoping I can find a before picture of the rest of the job so I can attach it to this review. I saw some of the negative reviews left on Yelp for MTC Tree Care, and a brief glimpse in their review history really highlights the fact that some times, unreasonable people can not be reasoned with. That being said, if you have ANY needs whether it pertains to landscaping or concrete (which I'm planning to go through with Danny in the future), do not hesitate to give Danny a call. He is a stand up guy and it'll be worth your time to reach out to him for a quote. For those that are skeptical on Danny coming out for a quote, don't be! He needs to see what he is working with to give you an accurate quote! It's just part of the business. He's not pushy at all and I never once got the feeling he was trying to "sell" me on anything - something I am fairly sensitive to. So what are you waiting for? Give him a call! Had them out for a tree service and was offered "hardscaping/leveling and grading" for additional $. I knew the land needed it so I opted to pay for it. What I was told I would receive was not even close to what was discussed. I was quoted to pay an additional 2200$ to another contractor just to get the job done correctly. They cut multiple trees out for me and were fine at that but they hit a water line , which was initially fixed, but is still leaking today, months later. I would be iffy on using them for any service other than cutting trees/grinding/stumps. Edit: I was quoted the 2200$ to get the job done right, I have not yet had the work done. read more

As a result of high winds from the storm this past Sunday one of our tree's limbs snapped and landed on our roof. Thankfully, our roof was fine. A job not well done. I hired MTC tree care a while ago to trim my tree and seal up where bees had made their home. I made sure the bees were gone first and paid extra to have them seal up the top and crack down the middle so the bees could not return. Either one or both of the guys trimming my tree did not know what they were doing. I have my tree trimmed every two years and never before have I been shocked and disappointed at the job done. Fairly good size branches were chopped off in the middle. I even had neighbors stop by and say, wow, they really messed up your tree. on top of that, the seal was never completed down the side of the tree, even though I was promised, they would return to do it. I've lived in my home for 8 years and never had the trees trimmed. HUGE MISTAKE! I woke up on Saturday morning to a large broken branch laying in my front yard into the street. I reached out to a few tree services, and MTC responded within an hour. The same day, I received an estimate to trim my front and back trees, and they also cut up and moved the branch out of the street. 2 days later, they came back with the chipper, trimmed my two large trees, and cleaned up all of the waste. I met Jason of MTC tree care as he was walking our neighborhood in Laguna Niguel leaving information. I was impressed with his courtesy and professionalism, and he was quickly able to give me a price to take down five large poplar trees that needed to be removed due to their age. Just weeks after this meeting, we unexpectedly had a large branch from a coral tree at the bottom of our driveway, collapse and block the driveway. I called MTC and explained the somewhat minor emergency and they had someone here in 45 minutes to assess the situation and give me a price. That same day, they not only put a crew together quickly to clear our driveway and take down the coral tree, but we both agreed the time was best to start removing the poplars as well. The complete job was performed safely and flawlessly in 2-days, including stump grinding. They not only had a crew that knew exactly what they were doing, but all the necessary equipment required to take down five large trees and haul everything away.
