I contacted Mark yesterday, and he came out to re-key 10 locks at our newly purchased home today. He pointed out some things I didn't think about (like a separate key for the gate might be handy to let workers have access to the yard but not the house) and showed me why a lock on one door was kind of sticking. I was in need of a locksmith to change out all my locks in my house. I called Mark early Friday morning and he was able to a same day appointment. He had told me he had a prior appointment in walnut but would be able to come by my place after around noon. First, he called the day before our appointment to confirm. More importantly, he arrived when he said he would. Next, he outlined the services he was going to provide, including the different scenarios that we might encounter in his efforts to repair and service an old Baldwin entry door lock. Considering the lock was older and no longer available, there was a possibility he might have to find and purchase hard-to-find replacement parts which would have come at a considerable cost. Upon arriving, he discovered that all of our lock cores have been damaged by the previous locksmith. The locks can be opened with almost any other key. What a scary thought.
