Alan was polite, professional, and prompt. 5 stars does no justice to the customer service he provided. First off he really should be the top locksmith when googling in the Whittier area. The first 7 locksmiths I called either didn't do laser key cutting or for some crazy weird reason their machine that does it was inoperable at the time (go figure) I think Alan was my almost 10th locksmith that I finally got ahold of and when I first called it went to voicemail but he literally called me back in a couple minutes. I never answered my phone so fast! He said he was able to do it and he would come to me within the hour. He did NOT DISAPPOINT. Not only was he here on time but he literally cut both my replacement keys and reprogrammed them in 30min!!!! It could've been done on my lunch break that's how fast he was. He demonstrated for me to show me they both worked and made sure I started my car before he left. What got me was his fee was maybe a quarter of what the dealership quoted me!!! Extremely affordable for making it so convenient! I absolutely 100% recommend Alan and he really should be the first to pop up when you google for a locksmith! I needed a new key fob for my 2010 Honda Fit. They showed up when they said they would and quoted me something like $750 for it. I said that was way too expensive and eventually he said he would do it $180 (how does a price lower that much)? I agreed and when he was done he ended up handing me a key. NOT a key fob remote like I gave him to copy from. I told him it wasn't what I wanted and he told me that it was a key he had told me he was making for me, not a remote. There was absolutely no refund. Maybe I am unaware of how expensive these are? But one thing is sure that I was apparently not clearly told what it was I was paying for. I lost my Prius key fob and got a quote from the Toyota dealer for 3x the cost !!!! I found Alan through Yelp and gave him a called. He showed in 45 minutes and did a great job of explaining what he was going to do and if it didn't work, he would have an alternative plan. Alan took about 30-40 minutes to finish the job and provided me with a new key fob/key and a spare! Alan was very nice and provided EXCELLENT customer service. This company deserves a gold star. My husband and I recently purchased a used Prius that, for some reason, came with two fobs (remotes) but only one mechanical key. Since we didn't want to find out what would happen if one of the fob batteries died while we were out and about, we decided to look into getting a second key made. Little did we know that apparently we were asking for the earth and heavens to be moved. Many locksmiths didn't cut car keys; even ones that did rarely seemed to have the capabilities to make this type of key (even though I was under the impression that the Prius was a fairly common car). (I actually had one locksmith first tell me he could cut the key and then turn around and tell me that actually, the locksmith he had on staff that used to cut those kinds of keys had just died and that he didn't know any living locksmith who could help me. True story.). And, finally, those that did cut Prius keys either A) didn't have a blank key in stock (ergo, I'd have to provide my own), B), were too far away, or C) were astronomically expensive (seriously, some quotes were as high as FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS). Then I found this little gem, Alan Auto Lock. Not only was their estimate extremely reasonable, but it included mobile service to my home at no added cost. That alone would have sold me, but they were able to accommodate my somewhat haphazard schedule and stop by the same day (and right on time, I might add). Great service! And great prices! I was able to get a new key, new remote, and the locksmith also fixed the locks on both of my car doors. I called and he came under an hour later and completed the job in under an hour. Other places said they would need to get new parts and wouldn't be able to do the job that same day. I recommend Alan to everyone I know! The ignition on my Honda Pilot would not work. The dealer was closed on the weekend and they said I had to have my car towed to them in order to fix it and would cost between $500 to $800! I called Alan Auto Lock today (Sunday). He quoted only $200 to fix it when other mobile locksmiths were quoting over $350! He came to my home within the hour time slot promised and was done in less than an hour. Wow! I called right after an attempted rip of from my local toyota dealership, and the guy was at my house in less than 10 minutes!!! He cut my key, had some trouble programming it at first, but got it done in about an hour! Definetly give these guys a call if you need a locksmith! read more
