Walked in needing 3 stamped copies of keys made for work. He had them done in 5-10 mins for around $10, and I was out the door. 5 stars.

Checked office hours on yelp & online all show open 8am to 5pm, yelp shows open now. went to office which is close to me, needed to get another set of house keys, arrive at store has sign on door closed to walk in service? Returned to my car while I was trying tp write the phone # down noticed another customer going to the door, read the note on door, and even tried to open the door, not believing it was closed! I called the business number got recording that said leave your number if you need service, however the voice mail is FULL can't leave a message. The other number on window doesn't work either keeps asking dial 1 or 0 with area code tired it several times call doesn't go through, I have been a customer for years, the office always had some one there, is this not the same people?? read more

This guy came to change keys. 5 locks new keys. 260 dollar. My wife does not speak good english. He totally took advantage of her. I called him He hung up on me. I never write reviews. I needed help in getting front door lock changed due to person on restraining order having a key. Had to leave ASAP for hospital Did not dare leave without house being secure. Called Baker's Lock and Key after another company left me hanging for 2 hours. Baker said could come within 45 min. To an hour. Told representative that was too long and called another 4company to come. This company called back that service would be between 2 hrs. Said no thanks and called Baker's back. Told technician who I would have come was now on another call. He was professional, friendly, and nice. I repeated why I needed someone so quickly, and he said he'd send someone as soon as possible.Technician arrived in 15 minutes and finished within another 15 minutes! A friendly shop that sells decidedly unfriendly stuff- unfriendly if you're a thief that is. Safes, locks, industrial strength deadbolts - good stuff. I stopped in to open an old family lockbox that nobody could get find the key to. Baker's gave me a choice of picking the lock or trying to cut a key from the lock number. I went with the key option and within a few minutes I had the box open, a new key and another nice Whittier business to add to my list. read more

Howdy! This is my first YELP REVIEW (better late than never). Here I go: Welp, I was at the gas station trying to put in some gas when what do you know, my key must of broke off somewhere. Maybe I sat on it and broke it off, who knows? Anyways, the point is, I lost the key to my gas cap somewhere. Luckily, I looked up a few places and found that this was close by and received a good yelp review. The woman who works there was real friendly and just a good gal. She was more than happy to assist me with my dilemma and didn't take long to open my gas tank--she even gave me a good deal because it really wasn't much work for her to open it. I would go back for sure if I had problems again or if I needed another set of keys. Also, looks like they have some cool safes--if I actually had something valuable I would probably buy a safe there to put my gold, silver, or cat in (kidding about the cat). MEOW! read more

I Called every where and no one could make a copy of my old complicated key. These guys could!! And they did it in seconds. It's a 45 year old lock and a complicated double cut key. Took it back to my office and it worked smoothly and without issue. They even threw in a very simple key I needed copied from a very common Schlage lock. Home Depot copies often don't work and I end up going back, forget that. Get someone who makes accurate copies. Go here!! read more

If you need anything from servicing your safe to cutting keys, this is the place to go. Been coming here for 10 plus years and never had a problem. My wife tried getting keys cut at Home Depot because it was convenient and the keys didn't work right. I told her never to do that and went to Baker's and they were cut perfect. We moved into a new house in Whittier and I called Baker's to re-key the locks. There were a lot of doors and a lot of separate locks. Chad came out within hours and stayed for several hours (and had to go back and forth to the shop as he encountered hurdles) He did a great job and was pleasant and professional. We took apart a door knob to paint and it was impossible to reassemble the know assembly. It was old school from the 40's and had a bunch of odd parts that made it an unsolvable puzzle. I took the bag of components to their shop on Lambert and the owner (I think), Jerry, worked on it for nearly an hour and finally pieced it together. I don't know how he did it! I asked what I owed him and he didn't want to take any money. I finally insisted on giving him $10. Not so easy to find quality vendors with old school ethics. Except once but the tech let us know before he did the work. Today I needed a key for an antique curio and they gave me a hand full of keys to take back to the shop to see if any would work. Just bought a new house in Whittier and the previous owner had a different set of keys for every door to the house, and the garage. I bought new Schlage deadbolts and levers and brought them in to Bakers to have them rekeyed. There was no line in the store, and they were done in 10-15 minutes. Installed the hardware back at home and keys works perfectly. read more
