Woohoo! I got 9 moustaches on my stamp card and got a free Bubble Tea today! I was going to get my regular but decided to get a LARGE and pimp it out. And it was okay with them! I like that they have expanded their menu. I like that I can choose the sweetness. I try to mix it up whenever I go and it's always good. My favorites are the green tea, black tea, roasted oolong, thai, jasmine -- wait. That's half the menu... Just kidding, I like it all! It's such a cheery place to get yummy treats, especially since the staff is always so accommodating and friendly. Was there tonight and a couple of cop cars were at the corner and a bunch of cops were inside the store. I was afraid that something was going on, but the cops just wanted their bubble tea too! Pretty standard boba drinks and prices fairly reasonable. I love the design of the cup and the logo of a mustache. I got the matcha green milk tea with boba. The boba itself was kind of sad. It was soft enough but hardly had the hint of the sweet honey you usually taste. The service is nice but parking hard to find; our group had to split into two to go buy drinks at Mr. Tea and Jack in the box across the street for parking. Overall, great place for a late night run if no other boba places are open but I'd find something better during the day. read more

At first glance the sleek design of the place and the macarons got me but the boba tea i got wasn't that impressive. The dude at the counter wasn't that informative for us first timers and I mistakenly went for the 100% sweetness which really wasn't sweet at all (I recommend 120% maaax for my fellow sweettooths). My friend and I didn't even get around to finishing our cups. BUT I decided to give the place a 2nd try because I was craving macarons and wouldn't mind some bubble tea, 2birds1stone, why not huh? Only been here about twice but I do think it is totally worth the money. It is pretty tricky to find your way to it though because the sign is not that big. There is "parking" a little down the street where you will see some shops. Says they will tow but "Signs are for tourist" so feel free to park there and grab your drink then head to the car! I come here all the time, there are so many things that make me want to keep coming back. I usually just get a regular milk tea with boba and macaroons. I love all of the different options they have for you to customize the drink to your liking, and that you can adjust the level of sweetness according to your own taste. The macaroons are also some of the best I've had on this island. The atmosphere is casual but classy at the same time, I've come here on dates, to study, or just to get a quick milk tea fix. The servers are all very nice and accommodating. The parking is limited and the store can get pretty crowded but if you have the chance to stop by I highly suggest you do. read more

My new favorite tea place!! They have so many delicious toppings and so many unique kinds of tea. I have just tried their sesame milk tea with custard, but it was so amazing I will definitely be back for many many more drinks. The cashiers are nice and answered all my questions, and helped me pick a good topping for the tea I wanted. I've never had seeame milk tea anywhere else, and it was so good. The interior of the shop is clean and pleasant, it would be a good place to do some reading or get some work done. They also have macarons and croissant sandwiches which I haven't tried yet. Yum! Honestly they have good stuff but tonight I stop by after a long walk with my dogs, who are in a stroller before entering, and the door was locked. People were inside and the girls at the counter saw me and just stared at me like I was a crazy person. It's 7:35pm, the place is open until midnight, and the doors were LOCKED. My boyfriend and I would usually get the black milk tea, but recently we've been getting the earl grey milk tea. For our toppings we would get custard and coffee jelly. The only thing I wish they do is make the jellies smaller. I would rather have a small bit of custard and coffee jelly while I sip my tea. It looks like big chunks of tofu in my drink. With 500 plus check-ins (and counting), I have to say that this review is much overdue. Simply put, I love Mr. Tea. Some of my favorite drinks include the potted black milk tea with their perfect fresh boba and their mango black iced tea with rainbow jellies. Their jasmine tea is pretty tasty and floral and their oolong tea is earthy and delicious. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful... and many of them have such incredible memories when it comes to the drink favorites/go tos. I also love that they sell La Tour's macarons, they make for the perfect sweet snack. For me, the location is not only prime, but dangerous since it's so close to home. Parking in the building can sometimes be tight, but usually there's at least one stall. Worst case scenario, I've only had to wait a couple of minutes or so for one to open. 10/10 would come back. read more

I recently had a sour experience here, and although the smoothies are still yummy and refreshing I'm not inclined to patronize a place that makes me feel bad for making a mistake. Went in a little after lunch one day with coworkers to pick up a smoothie. I thought I ordered passion fruit/strawberry with aloe, but I apparently ordered passion fruit/mango with aloe. Mistake #1: I should have corrected it right then and there, but had to get back to the office since my coworker had a meeting. So then I called back an hour later, explaining what had happened and asked if I could come in after work and get a new drink. After I was put on hold for about a minute, the girl on the phone said "I'm pretty sure you ordered mango..." Right then I felt bad. She was making me, as the customer, feel like I was in the wrong and that its my fault I didn't get what I wanted. Mistake #2: Ok, so maybe I did make a mistake and said mango. I can't remember, but my gut says I ordered strawberry. I do have to give it to them since they did offer to remake the drink, but then the girl said "Next time, just make sure you order the correct drink" or something along those lines. That came across a little condescending to me, especially with her tone of voice. I asked her on the phone if she was basically saying I was wrong - she hesitated and said no, but her tone was still very condescending. I was extremely flustered, told her to forget it, and hung up. If I got what I ordered, then that's fine. I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is a clerk on the phone who speaks to customers in such a condescending way. Even though Mr. Tea is a very convenient smoothie shop near my office, you can count on me and my co-workers not coming back ever again. read more

Their flavors range from the traditional to the unique. They have milk teas, iced teas, smoothies, hot tea, macarons and also La Tour sandwiches too now! My favorite is the Hibiscus Iced Tea and Wintermelon Milk Tea. I also heard they now have sweet potato. I'm totally going to try that next. I absolutely love that they have the option of CHIA SEEDS to add to your drink! Ooohh, so healthy. I don't feel as guilty now. This super cute cafe is located across the street from the Blaisdell Arena. Parking is in the Nine0Nine building. It was 11:30 pm at night and I was going thru a milk tea craving kinda night. I drag my sister to go with me because we are all milk tea lovers. We arrived around 11:38 pm it was not as packed at this time, parking is free for costumer in the back of the cafe. The menu has a nice selection our drinks for the night was matcha milk tea with custard pudding , peach smoothie, regular milk tea, strawberry smoothie , and honeydew milk tea with lychee jello. We were able to choose the level of sweetness from 0-100% base on our desire tastes. Service was really good and our drinks came out pretty quickly. All the drinks were good expect for the smoothies! Smoothie is not as you expect it to be, it's more like a flavor shave ice , icee with flavor sugar , very sweet. It's not made with fresh fruits so don't expect you getting the real flavor of the fruits! I should have guess it because the smoothie was only $3.99 , pretty cheap for smoothies. Anyway the peach and strawberry smoothie was water down in 3 minutes. 3 Star for the delicious milk tea. read more

I'm really disappointed today. Originally I had ordered a taro slush with boba and lychee jelly. What I have received is the taro milk tea with boba. What they did is to put the liquid milt tea into a blender and make it jnto slush, and then keep the old boba and put extra jelly into the cup. So, 1/2 of my cup was filled with jelly and boba, and the taro slush doesn't taste the same with what I always had before. I think what they could have done is to make a new order for me. Because honestly the cost of one boba tea doesn't cost even $.50, and we are charged $4.97 for the order. So we expect it should be a good one, and if it's not the one the customer orders, you only lose $.50 to keep 1 loyal customer. Hopefully the management can read it and consider about a proper solution for wrong order taken. Sincerely! The reason I still give 3 star is because your drink is good. read more

Took a while to make our drinks and you have to pay extra for Boba. The cups are cute but what matters is what's in the cup. The black tea milk tea was not very sweet and had an odd after taste. The boba had a distinct flavor that did not mix well with the milk tea. The weird aftertaste was even stronger with the Boba. I would continue going to coffee or tea because they have the best milk tea for the same price as here. read more

The soft opening was a disaster. No order numbers or name calling system so everyone's drinks were getting mixed up. They made the drinks and put them on the counter and expected us to know which drink was ours. Waited 15 minutes in line and another 35 minutes for our drinks. I believe the AC was blowing hot air because it was cooler to wait outside than inside. The milk tea overall did not have much of a tea flavor. Tasted more milk and water than tea. The hibiscus tea was so sweet that it was unbearable to drink. It was sweeter than a pixie stick! Saw a lot of people complaining while I was waiting in line, some were also asking for a refund. I have a love/hate relationship with this boba tea shop. The store front is really cute, clean and the location is very convenient to where I live. The boba is normally on the softer side too. BUT THE MILK TEA... I normal order the jasmine green tea, jasmine milk tea or almond milk tea with the boba and whatever add ons. But I never seem to get any TEA flavor. What really bothers me is that the drinks aren't light brown when I order milk tea. My most recent order was the almond milk tea with boba. The drink was white. Not even slightly brown like how normal teas look like. I don't know what it is, but this really bummed me out. This is becoming one of my favorite boba places for sure. I swear I come here maybe 2-3 times per week because it's that good and so worth the money. I like getting their blended drinks with tapioca. I enjoy how smooth the blend is and the boba- nice and chewy, how boba should be. The staff is very friendly and the wait time is relatively short. This review is long overdue. I have been coming to this Mr Tea location for years now. The thing I love about this place is: 1. Consistency. You always know what you are going to get. Only once or twice I didn't like my tea out of the hundreds of orders I made here. 2. Friendliness. People who work here are very friendly, and not just the fake kind. I always feel like they are nice to me because they are nice people and they enjoy what they do, not because they are friendly toward me for my money. 3. During Corona Virus pandemic they took their employee's health and my health seriously. They wear their masks properly. They installed a plexiglass for their cashiers. They also have clearly marked areas and they stick to their rules. After a recent unfortunate encounter at another boba tea place, I realized just how much appreciate Mr. Tea putting the thoughts into taking care of its customers and employees. The difference is huge. Last but not least, they have awesome hours where you can always meet your friends for a friendly neighborhood get together. It is one of the few places in Kakaako where you can just relax and have some wholesome fun with fellow nice people. I am glade Mr. Tea stayed busy in recent months. The boba itself is very good! The texture and flavor are just right. The tea is also good. It's not too bitter or sweet (you can also adjust the sweetness based on your preference). The concept of the place is really cute and the cups are adorable! The pricing is very standard for boba so I'd say it's a good deal! Also the workers were very friendly!
