Not all Teapressos are created equally. But the Piikoi Teapresso is a good one. More consistent taste than the Keeaumoku one IMO. Boba is a good texture, not overcooked, we like some chew! I've found a lot of Teapresso stores overcook their boba. For my taste, at least. Drink selection at Teapresso is impressive. My go to selections: lady grey, tropic osmanthus, teapresso MT, hojicha, and a peach lilikoi slush too. This one has a decent amount of seating inside and outside. The floor is quite sticky, though. Street parking is best, but there's a bunch of free parking in the area. The night I went, there was one female working by herself and 3 large parties that came in all at once and our wait time was unexpectedly short! I walked into this Boba shop and surprisingly there was nobody in here on a Saturday night. Based off of the reviews and the ratings, I thought this place would've had more foot traffic, but I was the only one in there and there was only one person who was working there all alone. This place is pretty cozy and bright; however, overall the establishment was relatively clean and did not have any sort of lingering rancid smells so that's always a good sign. I only ordered one thing and this is what I usually get when it's available at boba shops: Wintermelon tea, 50% sweet, and definitely no milk thanks to my lactose intolerance. It was decent, but I've had better around the island and I would've expected it to be a little bit cheaper, but for a default-large size drink I spent about $8.50 which is a little bit overpriced in my opinion. Would I come back? Well maybe I think it depends if everything else is closed around the area. I didn't have a particular reason to stay and sit so I would rather just grab the Boba and go Parking can be pretty difficult in front of this establishment by the way. It is metered and on a main street and the adjacent streets don't have many options that are reliable or free making this another reason why I would not choose this Boba shop over others. Small shop. No line every time we went which was nice. They have a small window seat overlooking ala moana which is lovely. The milk teas are pretty good, kinda sweet. You don't choose sweetness like other milk tea places, which is ok. It wasn't too sweet. Our favorite drinks however were Pink Dragon Hibiscus and Strawberry Flow Milk Tea. So good! But the Fruity Lychee was SUPER sweet, so if you don't like super sweet be cautious. The interesting thing is the last time we went, they were going to sell dim sum too! Inside the Ala Moana Mall this is a pleasant place to stop, cool off and get a very cold, highly caffeinated drink (big smile)! There are also a few decaffeinated drinks. There are a few small tables. The walls to floor are covered with an oceanic mural. Lighting is good as this entire mall seems to be completely covered over. I got the POG fruit tea. I wasn't prepared for the kick of black tea but it works. I was expecting more of the Pog fruit drink, but this tea really works well. Not to sweet. Not bitter at all. The drinks were amazing and I had gotten a brown sugar with tapioca and a friend of mine got an Oreo version with tapioca as well. While some wouldnt combine those two, it seemed to be not too bad but not incredible if you are a first timer. The staff was only one person but she was nice though it felt slightly awkward at moments which I don't mind that much. They say they open at noon yet when I had went at about 12:45, it was closed for about another hour afterwards. I did not find any people inside which I think is just since the time and where it is located but it smells like tea and had very quiet music playing in the background. Teapresso is a decent place to grab something sweet if you're in the Ala Moana area. The quality of their drinks is fine. It's not the best but it gets the job done. I appreciate that they have a large assortment of flavors to choose from so you can try something new every time. The staff is friendly and the location is ok, but something about the atmosphere of the restaurant makes me feel like I don't want to sit down for a while and enjoy my drink with friends. The decor and art of the restaurant is nice at first but it feels a bit cluttered and dirty. I wish the design of the interior made me feel more at ease like other milk tea spots. Teapresso is a solid spot for decent drinks! They stay open much later than other boba shops, making it a great place to study or hang out at! Although the smaller size, the shop is clean, nicely lit, and has a few tables and counter seating. They have an extensive drink menu that boasts milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, frappes, and lemonades. You also have the option to customize your sweetness, dairy options, and toppings. What's unique about Teapresso is that you can also build your own brewed to order teas--which I've never tried. Instead, I usually order off of their menu which I did during my previous visit. I got their Hojicha Milk Tea with 25% sweetness, boba, and soy milk. The hojicha tea was subtle, mellow, and nutty. Since their boba is already sweet the 25% sweetness was perfect. They also sell various snacks and desserts such as ice cream, macaroons, cakes, and chips. Located next to Ichiriki and close to Ala Moana, this is a great option for a refreshing pick me up. They have a shared parking lot in the back which can be a hit or miss, but street parking as well as around Ala Moana is always an option! The workers are friendly, helpful, and do a great job at making the drinks quickly. Although not my favorite boba shop, Teapresso is a place I can count on for a quick boba fix. read more

Absolutely thankful!! Sadly it's been quite awhile since I've been here before all the boba craziness took off most probably because of the parking is kinda impossible. Known for it's brewed to order teas it's all freshly made exactly how you like it and you can definitely taste the freshness. I've been having to work a few extended hours these past few days and have been starting to feel it, tonight was 12 hours...exhausted and hungry I just Yelped places I could get tea...BAM! Teapresso Bar!? OMG Yass!! Though it's the only place opened not shockingly there wasn't any street parking available. First of all their menu is quite massive but I already know I need my flavored green tea so I build my own tea which is six easy steps to your creation. The staff here is super friendly didn't rush me as they seemingly see I'm clueless though helped me with any questions that I had. They do have an incredible varieties of sweets and snacks to go with your drink that's super convenient with quite a few indoor and outdoor seatings. It's a great hangout when you're done with dinner but not done chatting. I'm just grateful to to Teapresso Bar and it's staff for the late night hours to take care of some that don't have the standard work hours to take care of their needs...yup this was a need lol!! Me and my bf came here after dinner on 6/29. We wanted to try what boba options were available around 8pm and Teaspresso was open. Since we were new, the girl who rang us up offered us recommendations and she was polite! Service was fine. I ordered and ube latte for myself and I thought it was just okay. I wasn't able to adjust for sweetness so it was too sweet for my liking and the boba was mushy and stale. They did use real ube since my drink was pretty gritty. The Vietnamese female employee with short shorts and sleeveless outfit with a loud voice never fails to get our orders wrong. When we ordered smoothie here before, she barely gave enough toppings. And just tonight even when we told her we wanted a lychee jelly topping, she completely omitted it. For my Thai milk tea, I told her clearly that I wanted less ice but she filled my cup up with plenty of ice anyway. As we left Teapresso Bar, we called her to complain and as we were telling her that she messed up our orders--and told our complains--she hangs up on us. We called her again right away and told her why did she hang up but she denies hanging up on us. She even goes to the extent of denying of what she had done with our orders, telling us that she had our orders right.... *sigh* This lady is making Teapresso look bad and she does not deserve working here. I've been to this Teapresso in the past before and it wasn't a good experience. Some old lady got our orders wrong, refused to remake our drinks, and didn't even give me an apology. Coming back here after a while made me hope that things were different, but it's really just the same. Instead of an old lady ruining my experience, it was a dude this time. One barista at the time of this review was working their a** off making drinks for me + 3 other customers. All by themselves. Then you get this guy who was just sitting at the counters, staring at... I don't f*cking know? Struts outside looking at the roads and cars passing by... I don't know what their role in this establishment is, but telling off the barista that they haven't helped a customer with their order yet when YOU could be helping is such a bad look for your business. If you're not going to do anything, then leave. All you're doing is just making the business look like sh*t. Really couldn't stand that attitude. To the barista working by themselves, I hope you quit this job and work somewhere where you can get proper support and help from fellow coworkers and caring management. My favorite part was the ambience of the store. It had a really cool underwater theme, painted from floor to ceiling. It's a pretty small store, so they line can rack up quick. Up until recently on February 12, 2025, my kids brought to our attention that there were plastic in their drinks, they spit it out of their mouths to show us. Their drinks list is pretty extensive with milk teas, iced teas, smoothies, frappes, lemonade, slushes, coffee, and build-your-own-tea. Hokkaido Milk Tea- Assam, earl grey, black tea variety, milk. A Japanese version of "royal tea". Not sure what they included as a sweetener, but it was overwhelmingly sweet. I like my tea more bitter and should have gone with the customizable tea option. Still thinking about it a month later. I was wandering around the mall and wanted a strong ice coffee. Found Teapresso Bar (it's on the ground level in the gross parking lot area, kinda by the post office) and ordered their Vietnamese ice coffee. It's not poured from a plastic pitcher like some places. They brew fresh super strong viet coffee right there and then make it all tasty with the milk and sugar and what not. Idk it was the best Vietnamese ice coffee I've ever had, but I haven't been to Vietnam so what do I know. Anyway I think I'm gonna go get another one today. Terrible experience. Disgusting. Needs a health inspection. The cashier girl was eating and digging in her mouth trying to pry out some food stuck in her teeth with her bare hands while ringing me up. Then proceeded to grab my drink before it got sealed and pushed some of the overflowing ice down with her finger that was just in her mouth. Paid and immediately threw the drink in the trash. This place was bomb. Super friendly customer service, one man show but he works quickly to take orders and make drinks. The inside of this place is so cool, it's filled with a beautiful underwater mural. I was so pleased with my drink. I tried the spicy pineapple li hung slushy with tajin--it was the best slush I've ever had! Sweet, sour with a hint of spicy. Ordered a Hokkaido tea 50% sweet. The drink was sooooooooo sweet way more than 50%. I tried to mix the tea hoping it was just syrup sitting on the bottom and that didnt help. I asked the gal if she could remake it and go 25% or even 0% because the tea was undrinkable. She said that she couldn't remake the drink and that I would need to purchase another one and order it less sweet. Always served by nice, polite people here! Every time I've gone to a Teapresso (and especially this one), I left with good customer service. They're incredibly attentive to your lactose intolerance/allergies and preferences. That alone deserves a high rating. We got the pink dragon hibiscus and Hokkaido milk tea with oat milk. Loved both drinks! I used to love visiting Teapresso and this reignited my temptations to come again! They've got an enormous selection of drinks for you to try. As of April 1st, 2020: The service is phenomenal! I just now ordered through UberEats and there was a mistake with the order. I called the shop, and despite being extremely busy a worker picked up. He was apologetic and calm. He went above and beyond to resolve the issue by offering to deliver the correct order himself. He didn't even hesitate to offer! I'm sure everyone at the store is overworked and tired given the pandemic. They must be flooded with online and in-store orders, and yet they are offering quality service. Used to love Teapresso but they mix their matcha with jasmine tea. Interestingly enough i love them individually but not together. Also the matcha didn't taste very strong and the boba had a weird flavor. I liked the brown sugar milk tea most with half and half but didn't like it with whole milk. It tasted the same with regular sugar as with brown sugar, and tasted too diluted with whole milk because it was low quality milk. I much prefer the black milk tea from Sharetea. Teapresso bar never disappoints! I always get flavored tea with boba. They have samples and today I ordered one of the samples. I had peach cantaloupe tea with boba. The drinks were made fast and so good! The tea is brewed in front of you and it has real fruit bits in it. So nice on a hot day! This Teapresso had the coolest whale and shark mural in the seating area with a real fishing pole. There's also a ton of Polaroid snapshots of people taped to the walls. The staff was knowledgeable and always answer our questions with a smile. My only complaint is that I squeezed my cups too hard and spilled some of my tea, but that's on me lol. I didn't see bathrooms so I can't comment on that, and parking is good around this area - so close to ala Moana center. read more

One of the few boba places open until midnight on the weekend. The drinks here are super consistent and I personally really enjoy getting the Teapresso Milk Tea (Assam and Hojicha) with a single shot of Lavender syrup. This is a great place to hang out with friends at night and there is solid air conditioning, internet connection, and parking available. Some of the drinks are better than others and I personally don't love the smoothies, but all of the milk teas are pretty solid. The service here is usually good but sometimes it can take a while to get your drinks, especially at night when things are busy and there's a long line of people. read more

Wow, has it really been over 2 years since we've been here? Our first visit occurred when we came here for an IYE back in March 2016 . Back then, we excitedly met fellow Yelpers (Nadine C and Gary N come to mind) and the great staff and owner of Teapresso Bar. This location according to its owner, Steve Nguyen was his second location and since 2016, he's expanded to 4 locations. What makes Teapresso Bar different from other boba or bubble tea drink spots is they were the first to offer brewed-to-order teas, milk teas and organic coffees. They do not use any artificial flavors or powders in their beverages. Also, they offer non-GMO, Gluten-free, Vegan and Vegetarian options. The fact that they don't add artificial ingredients continues to be a main draw along with their friendly, quick and efficient service. I recently received a BOGO coupon from FiveStars and chose to share it with Nadine C since we had met for a lunch buffet earlier. Nadine C is the RIGHT friend to share this beverage offer with as I remembered being at that IYE and we had taken a photo together. So, after our lunch, we went in to order ourselves some iced teas: Tropical Osmanthus was Nadine's choice and Mango-Kumquat was mine. Both teas were refreshing and perfectly flavored at 50% sweetness to enjoy on this hot 90-degree day. As we were waiting for our beverages to be brewed, we searched their photo wall. It was like solving a puzzle.... I mentioned to Nadine that it was a group photo of maybe 3 or 4 people and it was a photo of her, my husband, myself and maybe with Gary N. I remembered that my husband was the one who captioned the photo, too. Well, Nadine checked her reviews to get the date of the event and we put the clues together. Came here on Christmas Eve after dinner with my girls for a refreshing drink to top the night. Ordered a Earl Gray Milk Tea, 50% sweet with light ice, and a little lavender flavor. Drink comes- looked nothing like Earl Gray Milk Tea. Looked like a passion fruit drink. I brought it back into the shop to tell them I think the order is wrong. Drink was unopened, but can definitely tell there was no "milk" component to the drink. The lady behind the counter looked flustered. Opened the drink. Poured 2/3 of the drink out, threw in a huge spoonful of powder and a enormous amount of ice into the cup. Tried to reseal the cup with the original cup, but it didn't seal. So she just poured the contents into a new cup and resealed. A huge cup of ice, 1/3 milk tea and a huge spoonful of powder. I was dissatisfied with my drink. Brought it back into the store, unopened/ unpunctured/ untouched. Didn't even try the drink. At this point I was over it. Customer service was shitty, and my drink was all messed up. I asked for a refund. The lady behind the counter said "no refund! I remade your drink!" She yelled. What kind of person yells at the customer? My friends sensed something was wrong and came in to see what was going on. Long story short, I was appalled by the customer service that was provided. The cashier (boy) that was at the store was very nice, polite, and respectful. He helped to mitigate the situation. All the while, the lady was shoving him aside, blaming me (the customer) for making the wrong order, blaming him (the cashier) for ringing up the wrong order, but no fault was at herself for making the wrong drink. I've been a long time customer here, I used to work at AlohaCare and would visit frequently during my lunch breaks for a afternoon pick me up.
