Update: After I wrote a review on yelp, Bob contacted me. He came by the house and diagnosed the problem. He mentioned that the problem is because of a bad cartridge. Being a DIY person, I replaced the cartridge and the problem with getting warm water is now resolved. Thanks! read more

Bob stopped by and got my hot water tank up and running again, and walked me through what a tankless install would look like. Very helpful, friendly and informative! I'll be keeping my business with Mr Tankless in the future! read more

Remember back in the good old days when service was outstanding, courteous, professional, and reliable? Well, that is what you get with Mr. Tankless. I highly recommend Bob, Mr. Tankless! Bob was able to address a problem with my tankless systems in just a few minutes where others where stumped. If you need someone to address your tankless system, call Mr. Tankless. read more

Bob and his crew at Mr. Tankless made our tankless water heater conversion easy and painless. From the start of the process to installation, he made it easy and took the time to answer my questions. His quote was not the cheapest, but on much lower than most (especially ARS -- do not use them! He pointed out an error they would have made in their installation, plus they would have charged $2-3k more and tried to upsell me on several things). In any case, Bob installed our tankless water heater in a single morning and recycled the old one. He's prompt and courteous and highly experienced. Also, another company I called for a quote said asked who their competition was, and when I told them Mr. Tankless was on the list, the guy said "Oh, yeah -- Bob. Well, I got nothing bad to say about Bob." So there you go, even in the industry he's respected! read more

You just don't get any better than Mr. Tankless! I reached out to Bob after reading many, many good reviews of his work on our neighborhood Facebook group and holy smokes did Mr. Tankless deliver. We texted back and forth about the job and he gave me a quote right then and there. The team came out right on time and couldn't have been friendlier. Not only that but they were very courteous and just good people. If you are looking around to get your water heater replaced (tankless or tank) then look no further, my dear Yelp friend. You have been lucky enough to find Mr. Tankless. You're search is over! read more

Nothing but good to say about Bob and Brandon. We had a tricky repair on a 10-year-old Rinnai showing a red herring error code and mistaken guidance from tech support. Didn't matter. They got it diagnosed and fixed as quickly as it took to get parts, despite having many other jobs to attend to. Good folks and straight shooters. read more

My 2 15-year old water heaters have sounded like monster trucks rolling through my attic every time we used hot water. I was looking to replace them before they before they failed. On the advice of many in my neighborhood, I reached out to Mr. Tankless to give me advice and a bid. They came out and gave me a great bid for a tankless system that would replace my 2 40-gallon tanks. We agreed on a date and time, which they arrived a bit early, which was great. Within 2.5 hours, the install was done. A great job by a great company. read more

I was looking to move from a tank to a tankless. Bob and his team were great from start to finish! He was quick to respond when I reached out for a quote and answered all the questions I had. His quote was significantly under what I had gotten from other businesses in my area, for the same type and brand of water heater. On the day of the install, he arrived on time and got the job done within a couple of hours. We've had the system for over a month now and it's worked great!!! You won't regret hiring him for your install! read more

Thank goodness for Mr. Tankless! He is our hero and has saved the day. Bob and his team were able to come out and rescue us during the middle of a mini-remodel. We replaced all our countertops and sinks, consequently all the plumbing was off and needed to be fixed... valves needed to be replaced, drain positioning adjusted, leaks dealt with, etc. When other plumbers wouldn't even give me a call back, Bob responded very quickly. Showed up, knocked out the work, and get us back to working water throughout our home. Thanks again, Mr. Tankless for helping out the Gala Family! read more

Bob did a good job converting our 2 hot water heater system to a single tankless system. He was responsive to texts and phone calls. His team got the 2 old hot water heaters removed, the 2 systems tied together and the tankless system installed in 4 hours. The Rinnai RUR160 has been working great. Setting up the recirculating pump schedule can make a big difference. The Rinnai makes setup easy. read more

Called Mr Tankless to fix tankless HWH. Came out and charged 300 to tell us all was fine. After he left system was not fine and kept tripping fuse. Wanted another 600 to come out and flush the system. Called Austin Texas Water Heaters who found the problem quickly, repaired it, and flushed the system for 500. Won't be calling Mr Tankless again for service. The problem was easy to find if they actually did anything for the 300 charged. The check we wrote was to Robert Lemons and the system is propane not electric. So your memory is less than accurate. read more

I selected him based largely on the reviews here. BIG MISTAKE! Pros: - Visited house same day I called and provided quote on the spot - Started work next day and finished install same day Cons: - Rushed, ugly install with pipes outside instead of in-wall - incorrect fittings inside house that were not to code for enclosing in dry wall (had another plumber correct) - NO HOT WATER to master shower. HE WAS UNABLE TO EVER SOLVE THIS PROBLEM (had to get another plumber to figure it out). - He bought a replacement shower cartridge while troubleshooting the lack of hot water and charged me for it (Delta provides them free as part of lifetime warranty - this plumber did not know that). - He left me without hot water in the master shower for several weeks while troubleshooting - he was always more interested in going to the next job instead of finishing ours. - He screwed up the permit application by entering the wrong address and wasted a lot of my time, his time, and city inspectors time because of it. Then he had the audacity to accuse me of not being there when the inspector came even though I had taken the day off work to be there. - He finally gave up on trying to fix the lack of hot-water to the shower. When I suggested that perhaps the thermal bypass was the problem he got very defensive and said he had checked that. - I had to proactively hound him to finalize the inspection (the job required on-the-spot corrections before the inspector would pass it). - He never once asked if I solved the lack of hot water to the shower problem. I did - with another plumber that knew what he was doing and removed the thermal bypass. Summary: Started strong and ended with a whiff. I usually don't bother with reviews but felt obliged to let others know in hopes it will prevent you from experiencing the frustrations I did. read more

Wow. I called Mr. Tankless on Wednesday and my tankless water heater was replaced by Thursday morning. He even replaced a breaker that was bad. I saw his truck on the road last week for the first time. Used him this week and I'm quite pleased. I will call him again if the need arises. read more

Me tankless was great. He knows tankless water heaters is precise, very reasonable, does a Great job, was on time to our home and very nice man. We highly recommend him. We have AHS warrenty who in 3 visits could not fix our tankless heater stating it needed rescaling but it really was a bad sensor which mr Tankless fixed and He rescaled the unit. Gabriel was very responsive. He followed up even after I had told him we had changed our minds. Now I wish I had gone with them in the first place! read more

We received bids from two other companies ... one that received the highest mark from Yelp ... the other was a company who did an excellent job tied to a new a/c system that was replaced in our home ... that also did tankless hot water heater replacement. We were in shock at the quotes but felt pressured into moving quickly to replace our current gas water heater due to its age and location in our attic ... a combination that could/would a disaster "in the making". My brother-in-law used Mr.Tankless for a similar repair and shared a story of Bob's professionalism, followup, and cost (compared to others). We contacted Bob and experienced the exact same thing. If you have a "short list" ... add Bob and Mr. Tankless to them. If you want to make it simpler and contact one: Bob and Mr. Tankless gets my nod for this improvement! read more

Bob was quick to respond to my phone call when both of our units shut down during the had freeze. After giving him the codes on the units he told me what they meant and he talked me through shutting them down properly. When one unit would not shut off he told me to handle it at the breaker. After four days I turned them back on and they both worked!!! When I shared that news with him he seemed almost as happy as I was! How many service people would be thrilled to help without any financial compensation?? Thanks Mr Tankless. read more

Mr. Tankless installed our water heater about 3 years ago and we recently called him for a maintenance check prior to the 2021 snowpocalypse. He came out the next day for a system check and he gave us tips on how to prepare for a potential freeze. When it dropped to 8deg and lines were freezing, I called him to ask for advice and he returned my call promptly, guiding me through what needed to be done to protect the water heater. Super helpful and we highly recommend! Thanks so much! read more

Mr. Tankless is great. They provided the lowest bid and completed the work while I was coordinating from out of town. The price was great, and so was the service. Communication was easy and prompt. I appreciate the pre and post-installation support. I am satisfied with the service and the equipment that was installed. I love my new tankless heater which provides an unlimited supply of hot water. I also love that I can manage the system with an app to control temperature, circulation, and scheduling. Tankless is more expensive to install, but it is worth the cost, and the long term savings will prove to be financially beneficial. read more

Mr. Tankless was simply put: the best! We've been getting a (new to us) old house ready for move-in (foundation work to floor repairs) and Bob and his team have been the only easy and smooth experience of the whole process. Bob was responsive and informative -- and better yet, also cared about my concerns. We had to get two water heaters replaced and Mr. Tankless was able to come out and quote very quickly and then arrive on time (which we've increasingly found is apparently an oddity in the home repair world) and finish the work in one day and when he said he would. While we thought one of the old water heaters was going to require the destruction of a cabinet to get it out, Bob and his team were able to get it out without touching the cabinet -- that we can now use as storage because our new tankless water heater was moved to a better location for both ease of access and regaining storage. We couldn't be happier with our new and improved tankless water heaters Thank you, Bob! read more

I contacted Mr. Tankless about installing two tankless water heaters on my daughters duplex in Austin. Robert responded quickly and we met several days later as I had to drive up from Galveston. He quoted a fair price, scheduled for the next week and came out and installed both heaters, piping, etc. starting at 8:00 and finishing ~ noon. Robert also provided an electrician which was great as none of the other companies could help with this. He also sent me photos of the installation as I haven't been up to check the installation in person yet. The installation looked very professional. I'll add more to this review once the electrician completes his work and I can check it out in person. read more

Good experience. All I needed was some routine maintenance - they showed up on time, delivered on promise and on price. Trouble-free.

Bob and team at Mr. Tankless did a awesome job on our water heater replacement with a Tankless system. He is extremely polite, responsive and professional. He took the time to recommend a system and how the unit works. They cleaned up and ensured to my satisfaction before leaving. Would recommend absolutely. read more

I was referred to Mr Tankless "Bob Lemmons" by a friend of mine that owns his own HVAC business. I called Bob on a Monday morning and he was at my home in less than an hour looking over 1 of 2 forty gallon tank heaters that failed. Bob explained that for $550 more than the cost of replacing both forty gallon tanks (17 years old) I could get a tankless water heater and went over all the benefits that come with it. Bob and his crew were here the very next day and the system was installed in 3 hours. The crew was professional, knowledgeable & friendly. Recommendations from friends go a long way with me and I'm very happy I gave Bob a call. Lastly I'm a veteran and Bob was happy to give me a military discount! Thank you! read more

I'm a couple of months late on writing this review, but Bob Lemons (Mr. Tankless), Brandon and Matt (I hope I got everyone's name right) were fantastic and I didn't want to pass up this opportunity to sing their praises. They replaced an old tankless heater in a rental house that I own in Elgin. They did a great job with diagnostics and installment of the new replacement unit. They were punctual, professional, informative and fast. I asked a bunch of curiosity-based questions (there's an engineer in me somewhere) and it's a big plus to me when the techs not only answer but take an interest in explaining how things work. Brandon was really great at this during the diagnostic visit. The Mr. Tankless team was professionally and technically great. But here's the real thing that made them stand out for me - they were incredibly helpful and respectful of a very delicate situation regarding my tenant. Once they were explained the contours of the problem, these guys handled the difficult situation with a lot of finesse while still doing a super job. So big thanks, you guys! I'll definitely be calling you again! read more

I read Yelp reviews and contacted Mr Tankless last week and Bob and Brandon showed up to quote a tankless system to replace my two 17-year old water heaters in the attic. My wife worries about the aging water heaters like time bombs. The quote was 40% cheaper than another company. I immediately set up an installation time. The tankless system was installed yesterday morning in 3 hours. I encountered a power supply issue last night and was very worried if Mr Tankless will take care of the problem right away. After all, I have already paid the money in full. My wife called Bob at 7am this morning and even though he has another installation far away, Bob came at 7:50am and took care of the problem in 15 minutes. He truly earned my trust and I highly recommend Bob (Mr Tankless). read more

Mr. Tankless (Bob) is the epitome of professionalism. He responded to my initial phone call within minutes and scheduled to come out and quote the installation of a tankless hot water heater. He was patient, straight forward, and bid a fair price. He answered all my follow up questions via text within minutes. In addition, when I had an emergency break in my water line (completely unrelated), Bob got me on the calendar right away. Bob must have been at my house at least five times during the course of my massive home remodel fitting the pieces together with my contractor to make sure I wasn't without water. I wouldn't hesitate to call these guys up. I have a plumber for life! read more

Mr. Tankless was super responsive, reliable, and provided an estimate significantly less than a big named competitor. He answered any question I had right away. He installed a floodstop to our tankless water heater, which provides reassurance for future freezing weather. His installers were friendly, professional, and efficient. Would highly recommend! read more

Bob and his crew showed up ahead of schedule and were done within two hours. While this was probably not the toughest job they ever had to do there were several little issues that they handled professionally and quickly. It was such as pleasant project to install a Rinnai tankless water heater by Bob and his team. Here are the highlights of the installation process. Scope of work - replace two 14 years old 50-gallon water heaters with one Rinnai tankless water heater, remove old water heaters from the attic Appointment - always showed up before the appointment time. Cost - super reasonable compared with other contractor. Knowledge - Bob is very knowledgeable about the options and the Rinnai product. Installation - finished the work within 3 1/2 hours and cleaned up all debris We are so happy not having 100 gallons water seating in the attic and such smooth installation experience with Bob and his team. Highly recommend Bob and his team for the installation of tankless water heater. read more

My 20 year old water tank needed to be replaced and I wanted to get a tankless water heater that would supply hot water fast to the 2 showers and a hot tub in my home. After talking with various contractors whose quotes ranged up to $13,000, who insisted that they would have to rip a hole in my garage wall, tear up my yard etc in order to get me what I wanted, I gave up. Then my neighbor recommended Mr. Tankless. What a lifesaver. I was out of town during the entire process and he handled everything! He gave me a reasonable quote and told me it would take him three to four hours to complete it. He said he would need an electrician and would arrange for same and pay for him. He handled everything. He left my home spotless. I would recommend him to everyone. I now have Limitless hot water. Thank you mr. Tankless. Thank you Bob. read more

Mr Tankless was fast and efficient servicing my tankless water heaters. We did run into a small hiccup along the way, but they took care of ASAP and went above and beyond to make it right. These guys are awesome. Came quickly and fixed the problem quickly. We had knocked loose a line from our tankless heater and in about 10 minutes they had it fixed. Thank you! read more

We really wanted to get rid of our old tank heater and get a tankless. Had Mr. Tanklesss come out and assess our situation. Turns out where our water heater is located, getting a tankless might not be the best option. He told us we could still get one, but it might not work as optimally and then we would have just paid for a very expensive tankless without the benefits. I thought that was very honest of him. We did replace our water heater with him - went from a 40gal to a 50 gal. They showed up did the job quickly. Bob and his team were polite and I would highly recommend using him! read more

We were looking to switch to a tankless water heater and to replace our old water softener. Mr Tankless (Bob) came out and took a look at what we had. He explained how they could incorporate the system and what we could expect. He gave us a fair quote on the spot and we accepted. When he and his team showed up, they were well prepared and jumped right into the work. It turned out that the heater we ordered wasn't available so Rinnai upgraded us to an even better one! Awesome. Bob and his team were efficient and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. I was shocked at how quickly they were able to finish our job. We love our tankless water heater and how fast we can get hot water now! I also feel like we finally have a water softener that is really going to last. Our overall experience with Mr Tankless was fantastic and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others. read more

Mr. Tankless installed a Rinnai RUR 199 tankless water heater in our attic with a remote control module that is accessed through my smartphone. The unit works great and Bob stands behind his installation. We replaced two eleven year old 50 gallon water heaters in our attic that we felt were ticking time bombs waiting to begin leaking. There were a couple of minor issues that developed shortly after the installation & Bob returned and fixed them. Also, there were some problems getting the remote module interface to work with my smartphone, but Rinnai has a good support team that solved that issue. Bottomline, I now have an on demand hot water system, that I can remotely access to turn on a recirculating pump, which helps to minimize water waste & give you quick hot water. We are really enjoying the unit and saving on propane & water too. Thanks Mr. Tankless! read more

Bob was great! I had two other plumbers come give an estimate for a new tankless water heater. Mine was on the fritz. Other guys bid $3600-4200 to replace. Bob took off my shower head and fixed it at NO charge. What an honest and refreshing guy! read more

Great doing business with the Mr. Tankless team. Started off with a great quote for a new tankless install, and prompt communication setting everything up. Everyone who worked on the install was nice, courteous, and informative with my many questions. Install is super clean and looks great. High recommendation if you need a new water heater. FYI - i did hefty research leading up to the choice - these guys didn't jerk me around like some of the other companies I called. read more

I don't normally give out 5 stars to any business because, over time, they seem to lose the reason why they are in business. However, with Mr. Tankless, my mind is changed. Bob was friendly, prompt, very effective in communicating what was needed and what options I had. I asked about upgrades and he guided me to the what was right for ME. That is honesty in business and true customer centric business model. Not only will I not use another plumber, I will advocate for Mr. Tankless at every opportunity that I get.
