Tried Mr. Pickle's today and ordered the French Dip on Dutch Crunch bread to split with my girlfriend. Overall, it was a really good sandwich. The French Dip had great flavor without being overly salty like some places, and the au jus complemented it well. The Dutch Crunch bread definitely lived up to its name--it had a nice crunch--but it was a little harder than I personally prefer. If you like a really crunchy roll, you'll probably enjoy it. The meal also came with a small chocolate cookie, which was a nice bonus and surprisingly tasty. The employees were very friendly. Even though they have self-checkout kiosks, they offered to check us out themselves instead of making us use them, which I appreciated. This is the second Mr Pickles location I've been to in the valley and it was a a great experience. I had to get my favorite sandwich, the French dip. There are so many good options to choose from but I just love French dips too much! The only issue was the kiosk didn't have a working scanner for the rewards QR code but that's ok, I ended up being helped at the counter by Luke who was friendly and had great customer service. I will also say the dining area is nice, clean, and has nice visual signs to look at while enjoying your meal. read more

My daughter raves about Mr. Pickle's near her work at a different location. Unfortunately we do not have a location near our house. I was visiting Mom today and this location is up the street. The first thing I noticed was how brightly lit the store is and how clean it was! I never been to Mr. Pickle's before and walked straight to the kiosk to place my order. I figured what I wanted and place my order. It appears to be a husband and wife operating the store. They are very nice people! My name is called and my hot sandwich looked so good. Unfortunately for this review, I started eating before snapping a pic of my sandwich. I had the Listen Linda hot. It was really a good sandwich! After inhaling my sandwich, I walked up to counter. I individually thanked both people behind the counter. The looks and smiles I received back showed me they were genuinely happy for that type of feedback which warmed my heart. Let me start by saying, this is my second time at this location and it missed the mark each and every time. I chose not to post the first time thinking it was an off day. So disappointed. In this visit yesterday, I stopped in and ordered The Hang Loose and Hero. First and foremost, the store is kept very clean. I'll give them that. However, the cashier Derrius was so unhappy he should've been placed in the back to where he couldn't be seen. His customer service was terrible. When ordering our sandwich, he seemed very annoyed. Never greeted us and never made eye contact. Never understood teens who hate their job but continue to work for a job they absolutely hate doing. My sandwiches that took 32 minutes to make, mind you, there was one man waiting in store before us and two people waiting after us, were beyond terrible. The store was not busy at all. One girl on the line had to tell her coworkers in the back to help her as she was the only one making sandwiches. My sandwiches were made so terrible with little to no meat. The hang loose had less than one strip of bacon and little to no pastrami. I asked for the bread not to be toasted, so they did not heat up the meat. Like, what?!? The condiments were sloppily placed on the bread. The hero was just a mess. Plain mess with little to no meat. I know sandwich shops weigh their meat but this couldn't have been the proper weight. For these sandwiches to cost as much as they do, I'm expecting close to perfection. Needless to say, I won't be back anymore and can't recommend this place in good faith as I've given too many chances without complaining in store. read more

My partner and I went to your restaurant today 6/7/2026. It was approximately 6pm (We did not know you closed at 6pm, the doors were open and the cashier "LaPaul" waited on us. "LaPaul" is the name on the register receipt. The guy at the register "LaPaul" if that is his name was trying to take my order, was waving his hands and acting really goofy. I asked him if he was alright and he said something not sure what it was, but I heard the "F" word. I said "What is going on" he said "nothing" and proceeded to take my order and I paid. A female employee who was really nice made and gave me my food. I sat down and started to eat while my partner ordered his food. He came and sat with me. "LaPaul" made my partners food. When he gave it to him, he says we close at 6pm so you'll have to leave. You're welcome to sit outside and eat. I asked him why he didn't tell us this when we walked in. I explained that I had eaten 1/2 my sandwich and now I'm supposed to wrap it up and move outside where it's 103 degrees? He just said he was sorry. I told him this was unacceptable and he should have told us this before we placed our orders. We wouldn't have ordered them. He just had a dumb look on his face and said he was sorry again. I packed up all of my food I was eating. My partner and I proceeded to go outside, and we sat at a table out there. That's when I checked the temperature and it was 103 degrees. Soon after we sat outside, here comes "LaPaul". He left and hopped into a black car. So, as a customer it looks like we were kicked out of the restaurant because "LaPaul" was in a hurry to get off of work and go catch his ride that was waiting for him out front. HOW RUDE. Your employee needs to be educated on the proper way on handling customers and situations like this. He should have just said they were closed when we walked in and that would have prevented all of this. We did not enjoy being kicked out and forced to eat outside in 103-degree weather. I've worked retail before and you never do this to a customer at closing time. It turns out his waving like a mad man while he was waiting on me was him waving at the person who was waiting for him in the black car. We have eaten at this location and loved it. But if this is how we are going to be treated, NEVER again, and I will tell everyone I know how this restaurant treats it's customers. This just RUINED our meal. Put yourself in our shoes and I really don't think that you would appreciate being treated like this. Mr. Pickles response: Hey XXXX Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Our first time trying Mr. Pickle's at their new Ahwatukee location. It was very good and we will definitely order from them again. We ordered online and picked up. Their employee was courteous and customer service oriented. He mentioned they were still learning all the sandwiches--we ordered a reuben and a rachel sandwich. I would recommend more thousand island and more sauerkraut. Both were too heavy on the meat and the cheese and everything else was lost. It was nice that they offer a gluten free wrap but there are good gluten free breads that would hold together and taste better. I recommend seeking out a good gluten free bread. read more

I was helped immediately and, though there was a small snafu with the order process, it was addressed it immediately in a generous manner. Upon looking this place up on Yelp, my wife and I were going to say "thanks but no thanks". The negative reviews and lack of good pictures almost swayed us away from trying this place. Let me rectify the situation. I walked in and had tons of questions and the employee was super helpful and sweet, and did not hesitate to answer my plethora of questions. I was at first taken back by the biggest sandwich being only 8 inches, and the prices were definitely high for an 8 inch sandwich. You can order in person or use the kiosk, and customize the sandwich to your liking. Long story short, we absolutely loved our sandwiches and I was not hungry afterwards even though it was an 8 inch sandwich. I got a bread with a crunchy texture on it which was very interesting, but my wife's Sourdough was soft and delicious. I'm definitely getting that next time. To top it all off, they give you a free cookie to finish off your meal with a little dessert. My wife seriously wants to go back tomorrow. I was driving home and almost crashed my car. I looked over and saw Mr. Pickles. It is very close to my home and I thought. "This is bad news". I love Mr. Pickles and have been in twice since they just opened. The wait is a little long when they are busy so definitely see value in ordering on line. But it didn't do that. Just ordered it at the counter old school style. My experience is most sandwich shops are slower than a fast food joint since they making the sandwich is a little more manual than say making a cheeseburger. My favorite it the Mr Pickle but I confess I haven't tried many other sandwiches because I like this one so much. The people working there are very pleasant. They seem to like their job and kid around in a good way. I recommend this joint. read more

Pretty solid place. There's a few sandwich shops in town and they're all relatively similar in price, size, and quality. Mr. Pickles seems to be more filling than some other shops - like the half sammie does the trick for me, compared to having to get a full sandwich from JJ's or JM's. I will say, I prefer all the seasoning and stuff from Mike's, but this sandwich holds up a lot better. I don't have to worry about it being soaking wet and feeling like I pulled it from a lake by the time I get home from picking it up. I also like that they throw in a little cookie each time. We like Mr Pickles, it's always fresh and tasty. We had a negative experience, but they MADE IT BETTER THAN GOOD! We placed an order online and it is a bit confusing; instead of choosing what condiments you want, you have to say what condiments you DON'T want. Therefore, we got all the fixing and doubled on some! I hate red onions and pepperoncini, and my husband does not like pickles, but we got them all! We called, and they gave us 2 free sandwiches on our next visit. We tried Mr Pickles for the very first time earlier today and I can confidently say it was our last time. We walked in and it didn't even seem like anyone worked there. We placed our order on the kiosk (since we didn't see any workers) and when we asked one of the workers who finally appeared, a question it took him a while to answer. His response was very unprofessional and rude. We waited a long time for our 2 sandwiches to be ready and when it was finally ready, they called our name and walked away. I waited because we had also ordered drinks but did not receive cups and had to wait to get it. We finally sat down to eat and my husband's sandwich, which was a cheese veggie sandwich had NO CHEESE in it. At this point we were so frustrated that we didn't even bother saying anything to the workers. The bread (crunch roll) was so hard and it actually was very tough to eat. The place honestly looked like a hospital cafeteria. For a place that's fairly new to the neighborhood, one would hope that the customer service would be excellent but it was quite the opposite. There was no greeting and barely got 2 words from the 2 workers. They seemed like robots who moved slow and could care less about any sort of customer service. I highly recommend for management to train the employees of what it takes to keep the customers happy and more importantly, to keep them coming back. We tried and really wanted to support our neighborhood business but it's safe to say we will not be returning. read more

My experience was terrible. I cannot rate the food, because I never got it. I ordered online at approximately 1:35 pm and arrived at the store around 2:00 pm. I was told they were finishing up my order. At 2:30, after watching numerous people who ordered after me get their food, I asked for a refund and left. First time visit since they just recently opened. Could not find out how to order online prior to visit. I now see how to order online and it was the same site that I looked at online prior to just going in store ,so perhaps they were not accepting orders at the high time of lunch?? They said this store was not doing online ,but never did figure that out. They have two kiosks in the store to place your order, but those weren't working. Waited in a line, but it went fairly quickly with one cashier. I would say actually from the time of ordering until I got home was about 25 minutes.Lots of employees behind the counter working and definitely one of the owners. Ordered a BLAT sandwich ($12.99) that clearly says on the menu on a toasted multi grain bread,cashier tried to get me to order it on a sourdough roll, I said no I would like it on sourdough bread. Cashier kept asking me after each item is that all & I was not hesitating my speech,so that was annoying. I was making sure my order was correct after each item. Ordered a potato salad in a help yourself refrigerated case,but it was right in front of line where people ordered. I would've preferred to keep my potato salad in the refrigerator until I was able to obtain my sandwiches but seemed a little awkward position to go in front of people and grab my potato salad. ($3.39) So I grabbed it out right after I paid. The potato salad was a very nice flavor. The mini Listen Linda sandwich ($7.99) was perfect size. Not sure how often I will order this type of lunch,but time will tell.$12.99 seemed expensive for the BLAT sandwich ,but it is a one size sandwich with 3 layers and large,but basic really. I don't know if chocolate chip cookies automatically comes with your order, but we did receive two of those ,so if they come with every order, nice touch, but my husband mentioned why doesn't every order come with a pickle? I couldn't answer that for him. Seemed to be many tables in the store to sit and eat and I believe some tables outside. I did get mine to go. Apparently this is a franchise and the seventh one in Arizona and the rest are in California. I did see the employee with the pink hair and she seemed to be instructing a few of the other employees so perhaps she's from another store and she is training them. I agree with one of the other posters -she seemed to be on point and courteous. The cashier I had ....I have a feeling is one of the owners sons, but not that it matters ...he was efficient. I paid a lot for a sandwich that's basically bread and vegetables. I'm disappointed as two friends raved about this place. I don't get why after my sandwich.
