Why is this place not everywhere! Was in the area and went here on a whim Such good sandwiches!! We were quickly overwhelmed with options Which is a good problem to have The staff there is very helpful and can help steer you in the right direction of what you're feeling if you're unsure Super friendly people and was recommended the Garry bread as the bread options Definitely did not disappoint One of the few places to offer kool aid as a drink so that was really cool to see They have bar type seating, tables and more tables outside also bathrooms in the back Not a huge shop but a decent size Really cool vibe in there also If you could tell from their drink machine There is some character in there for-sure A great thing Was super pleased with how good this place is and am sad there isn't one closer to where I live If you're in the area definitely check them out Won't disappoint! read more

I met my mom here today for lunch and again, it was a great experience. We arrived right around 11:30, and there wasn't a line - a nice surprise! (The line is usually to the door.) The gentleman who helped us was super nice and patient (the tap mechanism on the card reader wouldn't work) and made sure our orders were correct. I went with their Panama Red and my mom got her staple - The Kind. My usual go to is their Bomb, but today I tried something new. Holy Moses. Their Panama Red (think chicken Parmesan adjacent) was SOOOO good. Very flavorful, perfectly cheesy, and on fresh, soft garlic bread. Heaven. We also shared their (giant) chocolate chip cookie. This was pretty much the best store-bought cookie I've ever had. It was soft and moist and had a loooooot of chocolate chips. I really do also love the vibe of this place. It's pretty fun! There's a lot to look at - stickers are *EVERYWHERE* lol I always see new ones every time I come in. The benches are pretty comfortable too, but they do not have padding so I doubt you'd want to sit for too long. read more

Wow!! From my first time here, to every time I come!!! Wow is an understatement to their quality of service and food. The subs are so tasty. I can never pick a fave. The service is EXCEPTIONAL!! As a nurse, they help me beyond my helping others. Their ambiance brings me peace; THANK YOU to the staff and crew! I could never ask for a more perfect establishment and experience ! I appreciate you! Thank you!! read more

I found my new favorite sub! The Apollo has chicken breast, onion, delicious dressing, Greek olives and feta if you choose on a toasted bun...perfection! The 4" is enough for me. I'm not a big fan of the overall ambiance and "toasted" theme so I prefer to sit outside or take-out. Good service and delicious baked goods. read more

A little late on the hit up and posts haha! But lately I've been messin with @chebahut's toasted subs pretty heavy- out here in Arizona! My favorite so far I must say is the "Secret Stash." The latest subs I tried were the "Kali Mist" featuring a nice cold glass of "Gin N Juice" and "G-13" with a perfectly sweet tropical @koolaid . . . #CheebaHut #ToastedSubs #GinAndJuice #TropicalKoolAid #KaliMist #G13 #FoodPorn #GinPorn #JuicePorn #LocalEats #LunchTime #FavoritePlace #Ahwatukee #Arizona read more

I have visited many Cheba Hut locations, and they consistently excel at making amazing subs. It is difficult for me to order anything other than the White Widow on garlic bread. I have also tried the AK-47 French Dip, which includes roast beef, portobello, onion, mushrooms, double provolone, and Shake, served with a side of Au Jus. Each location maintains the same vibe and always delivers an excellent sandwich. White Widow on garlic bread: A++ AK-47 French Dip with side of horseradish: A read more

Cheba Hut has genuinely good sandwiches, on par or above places like Jersey Mike's. I love that they have fun treats like homemade rice krispy treats and kool aid soda fountains. The employees are all very kind and welcoming. Highly recommend trying if you've never been! read more

Always dependable for a yummy sandwich. Our favorites are White Widow, Kali Mist, Apollo 13.

Great service and fresh tasty subs. We like sitting outside on the patio in good weather.

I had a great experience coming here! Walked into a clean building. the cashier who took my order has excellent customer service and the manager definitely runs a great shift! My food came out absolutely perfect and it was so delicious as well! 5/23/25 12-1 That team rocks! read more

Excellent service by the staff. The food was freshly made and accurate, and it was quick though we went during a slow period. They have a variety of sandwiches, sides, and desserts to choose from which makes it easy for people who like variety. The best options are the G14 and Midwest Best sandwiches. This location also offers indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar area with drink and happy hour specials. The place is lively with great music and a ton of art on the walls. The prices for a sandwich are a little higher than usual, but the quality and taste justify the higher price point. This location was also clean read more

My absolute favorite sandwich shop. I can't imagine that anything on the menu would be less than fantastic. I love the silver haze on Italian bread sandwich. I always get a blue kool ade. I suggest LOTS of patience when ordering to go. I usually arrive on time or five minutes after and still have to wait. It takes time to get your order but, the food is worth it. I love the paintings and sticker walls. read more

Cheba hut never disappoints with their food. It is always made to be amazing. It is nice to be able to get really good subs at a decent price. Nowadays, food is expensive everywhere, so this place is on par with the rest of the world. My order is usually always right and if not they are willing to fix it. The people are always friendly that work here. There is not a ton of seating and you have to be okay sitting close to others. It does take an exceptional amount of time to make a sandwich. We are talking 15-20 minutes minimum, so order ahead if you can. Otherwise, great place to get a really good sandwich. read more

My 10 year old daughter so wanted subway today after a long day at school. I had to beg and bribe her to come to Cheba Hut because she didn't believe I knew of a better sandwich place. Cheba Hut has amazing toasted subs, but unfortunately about 1/3 of the time when I request no onions it comes with onions. Today I had to dig deep to remove them embedded in the mozzarella. Even made incorrectly, I still really enjoy their subs and keep coming back. If you download the app, you not just earn rewards but you can mobile order and pay! Food was AMAZING and the service was excellent. The deco was very cool ... 60s vibe! Highly recommend this place.

I walked into the Ahwatukee location on 10/13/25 and was immediately greeted by a blonde pixie haired goth girl radiating the kind of enthusiasm you'd expect from someone being forced to attend a family reunion. No hello, no smile--just a heavy sigh and a glare that said "Why are you even here?" As I looked over the menu, she gave me the classic up-and-down scan, paired with enough attitude to season fries. Our total came to $40. My husband handed her a $50 bill, and you'd think he offered Monopoly money the way she refused it. I could understand the drama if we were buying a single sandwich--but we weren't exactly out here trying to break $100. I come to this location all the time and have never had an issue. I've also never seen her RBF lurking behind the counter, so I'm assuming she's new. If that's the case, the training clearly skipped the part about basic human decency. I work in customer service myself--I know firsthand how draining it can be dealing with the public. But from the second I walked in, she had already made up her mind to be rude. I definitely won't be back, and I'll make sure my friends and family steer clear too. And to the girl with the permanent scowl--I hope your side of the pillow is always warm. read more

One of my fave locations - Every-time I come I sit at the bar after I order. Order then be seated! They give you dope signs as your number and food is brought to you. If you're lit - this is the place for you. Best sandwiches ever, I never really liked subway - each sandwich comes with a juicy pickle. Take a bite! It's honestly best to eat this fresh - unfortunately we live about 35 mins away so we usually choose to dine in. Come here a few times a month. Staff is always friendly & sandwiches always come out bomb. Full bar available as well read more

The food is always delicious! It's warm, good portions, great seasonings. Food came out quickly. All the decorations are so fun, I love the stickers everywhere. Register girl was very unfriendly? I have worked in food industry so I try to be very patient, clear with my order, I didn't ask for anything extra or any modifications to my sandwich, and understand bad days happen, but wow she made me feel like I had personally ruined her whole day Everyone else in the store was great! read more

I love Cheba Hut! Then why the one star review.... The music at this location made a difficult experience. Every Cheba Hut I've ever been to had a very good mix of different music while you dine. Not here! It's heavy metal grunge loud the entire time. I asked if they could turn it down or put on a good mix of songs and was told the manager selects the playlist and nobody can change it. They put on one song that was R&B and then went right back to the same grunge heavy metal songs. This is not aligned with my typical experience at a Cheba Hut! We were there about 30-45 minutes total and literally all heavy metal extremely loud. Saw several people prepared to eat there leave by the time they received their food. We would have sat outside but was too cold. Then right when we were leaving heard one more R&B song. Honestly I don't mind a good grunge song here and there but seriously a huge issue when you can't talk or think straight!!! Talk to every other Cheba Hut.... They all seem to get it right... especially Tempe location near the college Food was on point though...Fire read more

This restaurant is right by AMC ahwatukee and they have ample seating. The parking is common with the AMC theaters. Liked the sub here and the variety they have in the vegetarian menu! They have 2 bread options to choose from namely white, wheat and garlic. I tried the garlic and it was really flavorful. I went for the plant based sub minus the mushroom (not a fan). Everything was a good but I only hope they introduce few more protein options for a veggie sub not just mushrooms and then I'll be a regular visitor here. The service was fast and good. read more

I don't know why, but this location cannot stay open during their advertised hours. Perfect example is tonight... This is a reoccurring problem that keeps happening . read more

3.5 stars on the cusp of 4 but I wasn't blown away. There are SO many 5 star reviews I had really high expectations plus the description of ingredients in the Apollo 13 sounded absolutely incredible. Chicken, garlic butter spread, feta cheese, kalamata olives, Greek vinaigrette with spring greens, red onions, and tomatoes. I had them hold the olives and red onion and add pickle. I expected to be blown away with flavor based on the garlic butter and vinaigrette alone. But it was just okay. I honestly couldn't taste garlic butter at all. I'd say next time I'd order extra butter and vinaigrette. Now on to the chicken. It was an odd consistency and it had a hard time getting passed it. I also ordered the garlic Parmesan pretzel nuggets that is served with a side of honey mustard and they were absolutely delicious and a must try! I will definitely be back and try other items. read more

The Subs were great! Only reason why I'm taking away 2 stars is because the person taking our order seemed way too stoned and messed a few things up. I love the cannabis inspired menu but maybe the employees shouldn't be so stoned so they can take the order or make the order correctly. read more

I had always seen Cheba Hut advertised around campus, thought about going but never did. While I eat sandwiches, I never have the urge to eat them. My fiance really likes Cheba hut and took me there one day. I went and I ate and I thought it was pretty good but overall, I just though it was alright. However, I went again and again and now, I'm a Cheba Hut fan. I think it's better than most sandwich places I go to. I like the different types of sandwiches they have and their selection is different from most places. I'm also a huge fan of toasted subs because of the melty cheese on top. I like the sandwiches here because they are tasty but not overwhelming. The bread is toasted and the sandwich has a great bread to content ratio. I leave feeling satisfied but not full. I like the kind, which is a turkey sandwich with bacon and mushrooms. I personally don't eat bacon (I know, I'm weird) so I remove it from the sandwich but that's really good. I also like the meatball sub too! My fiance likes the 5-0, which includes smoked ham, Genoa salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, bacon, Giardiniera peppers & cheddar cheese. read more

This has been a household favorite for years. Even when company comes into town they all ask for a sandwich here.

I typically would post pics but I'm embarrassed to say there was nothing to show by the time I thought to pull the camera out! This was my 1st (but definitely not my last) time here and it was BOMB! I ordered a A-train which was like a meatless meatball sub and boy oh boy was it scrumptious! And for researching purposes only I also got a Power Plant with extra jalapeño hummus...whoooweee it was good everything was fresh the greens where crisp and the garlic bread was crispy on the out side soft and well buttered on the inside...basically 10 out of 10 would recommend! read more
