I got the Cajun Chicken and Pasta delivery. The delivery was very fast but then i only work 1 mile away from the store. The garlic bread on the side was pretty okay, not as salty as i like but it was crunchy outside and soft inside which is great. The pasta it self is the reason why 2 stars is lost. The sauce is really good actually, but the chicken is over dry feel like it have been reheat multiple time. The pasta still have a lot of water so it make everything taste a bit bland, maybe dry out the pasta a bit more next time. read more

The food is great as always, but they changed how their GrubHub menu works and I can no longer order the pizza deal I always got. Was informed I would need to download and use their proprietary app to order from now on (obviously a "plug and go" app creation service and it's terrible quality). When on the phone, the owner told me that GrubHub's fees were too much for them. Well, I haven't ordered since because I found these guys through GrubHub and now I can't order what I like, so I've moved on to other businesses. It is what it is. Rather than adapt to the market, they've decided to try and force the market to fit their mold. Word to the wise, gentlemen, that won't work in the long run. read more

The food is actually good, but they're only getting three stars because they have some questionable business practices. If you order through GrubHub, they force you to select "extra cheese" before ordering sandwiches which gives them an extra $.60/order. They're aware of the problem but claim GrubHub refuses to fix it. I highly doubt that. Won't be ordering from them again. Buck up and raise prices, if necessary. This is a silly tactic. Update: The food is good. It's always good, but the bullshit delivery pisses me off. If you order cold items (e.g. sub or salad), they deliver your item last. So it took them 1.5+ hours to deliver food that was supposed to take 45 minutes. And the manager consistently lies and says the driver is 3-4 minutes away. I'm done with them for good. I highly recommend Mr. Pepperoni; the food is amazing; the service is good and the price is right. They have a diverse menu and the feedback from patrons is great. However, my favorite food is the pizza. The pizza is tasty and savory. I enjoy it better than the chain pizzas. I try to eat their at least once a week for my lunch. The ambiance is simple and basic but the food fare is amazing. Give it a try; I assure you that you will not be disappointed. The owner Monas is also amazing, kind, and hard working. Great gyro platter. Tender and tasty meat with the bread soaking up the juices from the meat. I ordered delivery, so the fries got a bit soggy as well. I would suggest wrapping the fries in foil or parchment paper to wick away the moisture. Over all, very solid meal with a hearty side of salad, which the olives were fantastic! read more

The food is pretty good here. I like to older right here on yelp. I always get the Gyro and ask for a order of fries. I wish the gyro had a options to get fries instead of chips when ordering online. One of the best pizza that I've had in this area. A New Yorker referred us to this place. We were a little skeptical with a place called Mr. Pepperoni. It is the closest New York style pizza you will encounter in this area. The crust was amazing, right amount of toppings, and sauce was perfect(not too much sugar). The place is small and tucked away. Their pizza is far superior than the processed, gmo, and high fructose corn syrup products that you find in the typically chains like Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, etc. It just doesn't compare. read more

Their club salad is good. Helped me out when i was on a diet. But the rest o fthe food.. i couldn't tell you much. They do have a good lunch deal I think. sandwich fries and a drink if i recall. but their club salad was what i went there for ... and it served its purpose. Happy Super Pi day! (well, I guess it's tomorrow, actually -- we're celebrating early here at the office) After trying to order from another local pizza place and getting a busy signal and a phone that just kept ringing over the course of 30 minutes, I decided to order from Mr. Pepperoni for the first time. The guy on the phone was nice, took my order and said the pizza would be ready for pickup in 10 minutes. I hopped in the car right away and drove on over from a mile or two away. When I arrived the guy who took my call was there and was very friendly and personable. Asked me how my day was going, small talk, etc. I asked for crushed red pepper, and even though he didn't have any packets to go, he went the extra step and asked the cook to get me a small container to put some in from the back. It's the little things, but you know, he was a nice guy, not just there to hand out pizza; the kind of thing that would make me choose this place over another local pizza shop with equally delicious pizza. I wouldn't be surprised if next time I ordered hand claps and hugs were involved. So anyhow, onto the pizza. I ordered a Bianca pizza. It was very good. Rich garlic taste. Lots of tasty cheese. Crust was good. Although my favorite style of pizza is thin crust (which i forgot to order), this pizza had a traditional crust, and it was actually good enough to eat the pizza bones -- which is saying a lot about the quality of the crust in my book. I think they must brush it with oil or season it. That being said, it wasn't overly oily either. A solid pie, I would order it again. In fact, to further attest to the quality of the pizza, here's an observation I made.... Since we were celebrating Super Pi day at the office, Mr. Pepperoni was going head to head against another local pizza joint that someone else had ordered. It seemed to me my coworkers were commenting on how good the Bianca pizza was more so than the other pizza joint's various pies. To all the people from NYC, or claiming to be pizza experts with all sorts of pizza merit badges; I'm not saying Mr. Pepperoni is the best pizza in the world (of course not, I make the best pizza in the world, obviously). But, Mr. Pepperoni definitely get's my stamp of approval for Pizza in Herndon. Thanks Mr. Pepperoni! I really liked the lunch special; you can't beat the price! The husband and wife team that operate the restaurant are very nice to talk with while waiting for the slices to warm up. I am surprised at the bad reviews only because what the heck did you expect considering the price range and options? It is FAST FOOD. Why judge it like one would an upscale establishment? If that is what you want then get in your car and head over to the Reston Town Center or drive into DC. Plenty of high end places there. My parents and I have been ordering from here for like ten years. It has changed owners a few times in that time so there has been some lack of consistency. I have never had poor service though. Never any issues with placing my order over the phone and no issue with the drivers. I am also wondering if the person who called the guy scary looking doesn't maybe have some bias against people from a certain part of the world? Over the past year or two I have noticed every place I frequent charges the same prices but gives you less food. I'm not wild about it b/c I order veggie subs so is it really going to break the bank to give me a decent amount of vegetables? I don't get cheese, meat or even mayo so seriously. But I don't mind paying for what I want so I explain what I want and let them know I am fine with being charged extra. I am very specific but at the same time am super friendly and say thank you a lot. I like the fries cooked extra crispy too. My parents sometimes like the food and sometimes don't. They seem to like the salads and subs but the pizzas are sometimes over cooked. My dad is from the Bronx so to be fair no matter what he thinks all pizza here sucks but he really hates it when it sucks worse than it needed to. I'm doing the 3 stars though because the service is friendly, delivery fast and because I am judging them based on them being a fast food place and not a 5 star restaurant. read more

I actually liked this place. We got the Greek pizza with gyro meat and an order of jalapeno poppers. Both were great. The pizza crust was well-done, just as we like it. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 3 pm and did take out. The person who took our order (the owner maybe?) was pleasant. Only suggestion would be to offer white sauce for the Greek (maybe it was an option we overlooked), but we definitely had a good experience and would go back. read more

My hubby & I usually order the Steak & Cheese Sub with Fries. This Sub is just delicious, as good as any I ate in NYC, which happens to be my home town. And the fries with their special coating are the best. We've never tried their Pizza since we come primarily for the Subs. But one of these days I have to do so. Tonight, I ordered a large hand tossed pizza with garlic bread and instead they gave me their paper-thin pizza crust. The crust of the pizza was extremely thin, it's like they put it on wax paper. The pizza wasn't awful tasting, but it was just okay. The garlic bread was hard as a rock and it didn't come with any sauce which was weird, and I don't remember seeing anywhere on the website to order marinara sauce. Overall, the pizza was okay and not good enough to ever get it again. I haven't tried all the pizza places in the Northern Virginia area yet but so far this is the worst. read more

Delivery review. Was travelling in the Reston/Herndon area and had a craving for pizza. With no car I ordered delivery from Mr. Pepperoni. Estimated time was exact, and the pizza was really good. The only complaint, and maybe a small one, was that I did not get any napkins, or plastic utensils, etc. I know those are not "normal" parts of pizza delivery, but I did specify I was in a hotel. There are a few items you want to avoid, such as the appetizer section selection, Onion Rings were mediocre at best. That's all the bad news... The good news...massive menu, most menu items are great. Pasta Carbonara was incredible... A touch too much pasta in the meal, but talk about delish!!!. Tuna Salad plate was awesome, tasty, fresh greens and veggies, and not too mayo-naisey tuna salad. Would definitely order from here as a go to of delivery places around me. Delivery fee is fare and low minimum order makes it easy for singles to order out without having to purchase 3 meals worth of food. Get better onion rings and I may give it a 5 star read more

OK, call me stupid. I saw the previous review. I decided I wanted to try it anyway -- they had Greek pizza with Gyro meat and feta on the menu, which I always like -- but, I guess I will have to get it somewhere else. Unfortunately, the previous review was exactly right on. We got a plain cheese pizza for my daughter, so you could really taste the (lack of) quality of the sauce and cheese. It was poor. The sauce had no flavor. The cheese was really greasy and did not seem like very good quality mozzarella. I had calamari appetizer, which was greasy and tough (probably overcooked previously cooked frozen stuff). I wish I could like this place, because the menu actually looks pretty nice. read more

This is THE WORST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD. A Totino's frozen pizza for $2 is much better. I ordered a 'pepperoni supreme' with a thin crust. The first pizza showed up and the center (half way through each slice) was acutally still dough. The second pizza tasted just awful. The sauce is awful, the toppings are barely there. I threw the rest of the pizza in the garbage. Awful waste of money. read more

I love their pizza & wings, and get delivery from them regularly as they are faster and cheaper than my other faves. If you are craving down to earth American pizza joint staples, I think you will be more than pleased. I am a meat lover but their Hawaiian pizza is officially my favorite pizza in the area (and I have explored quite a few). read more

I've only ordered the pizza and the greek take out but both have been excellent. The only reason I'm knocking a star off is that even though I'm a local and get delivery they constantly forget something that is marked on the online ordering (extra dressing, no tomatoes, etc.) Doesn't really make it a bad meal and the prices aren't bad, it's just annoying. read more
