always love going here and trying something new, menu is large. must haves are the pork soup dumplings and the beef scallion pancake

Super impressed with both the food and service here! The lo mein, orange chicken, and shrimp pad Thai was all delicious. The service was quick and staff was knowledgeable and on the ball, and prices were very reasonable. The location on Erie is very convenient also. Planning to go back! read more

This place has great service, they are so welcoming and accommodating. I got the soup dumplings and spicy tonkatsu ramen. The soup dumplings were cooked to perfection went great with a side of hot chili oil :) the ramen was delicious I got it with garlic oil. My favorite part about the ramen is the pork chashu it was well seasoned and went very well with the ramen. The ramen was a big portion and you get 6 pieces with the soup dumplings. I will definitely be coming back and I recommend everyone try it! They have many other dishes to offer and I can't wait to try them! read more

We struggled between the decision of trying here (an established Chinese restaurant or a newer dim sum place...I'm very glad we decided to go here! Authentic delicious food. I was able to order and speak to them in my native language. My kids loved the dim sum items and we ordered jelly fish (which disappeared QUICK), baby bak choy (cooked to perfection) and my husband requested the ka pow chicken--it was our "American" dish and was the only dish that was left at the end of the meal. We had to order extras of the shrimp dumplings, scallion pies and xiao long baos. The ONLY reason they missed five stars is because our service wasn't the best--she was spread too thin and too busy. There were others there that should have helped our server more and focused on the customer experience. We waited a long time for drink refills and some of us never got them. It took a very long time for us to get a to go box. And we ended up just standing at the front to get our bill. If you're in no hurry and you want delicious authentic Chinese/Taiwanese food--this is the spot! Unfortunately everything was so yummy we gobbled it all up before we could take any pictures. read more

The place was almost empty when we went for a late lunch/early dinner, and the waitress seemed a little new, but the food was great and the portions were generous. Edamame and dumplings were both really good. I got the deep-fried diced chicken with chili sauce, with almost no notion what it would be like (apart from the clues in the name haha), and I really really liked it. So much so that I stopped eating before I was full to make sure I could bring some home, and ended up taking quite a bit home because the portions are generous. I love noodles, and I look forward to trying them next time I'm there, and there will certainly be a next time! read more

Going to try to go here again. Didn't get enough range on the dim sum. They have a lot more that I'd like to try.

This review is only based on my takeout experience. Take it or leave it . I have always eaten at Red Chili prior, but I wanted to try somewhere new. I wanted to place an order prior to their opening, so I ordered through the website. We ordered the steamed pork buns, Shanghai wonton in chili oil with peanut butter sauce, and the KFC bun. I didn't eat there, but the restaurant itself looked great and was very clean. I arrived at the beginning of my 15-minute order window, not expecting it to be ready. However, when I inquired, they were unable to find my order at all. Apparently, they do not check the website ordering application only grubhub when opening. I wasn't crazy about that, but things happen. The person I was speaking with ran into the back to have them epidite my order. And epidite they did! Less than 5 minutes passed from the time they went back to the kitchen and brought out my order. Now some wonton and dumplings can be cooked in under 5 minutes, but they would piping hot, not cold in the middle. My guess is they threw old food in the microwave and sent it out. One of the chicken pieces in the KFC bun was harder than the sole of my shoe and was completely inedible. Overall, the decor looked nice if you were to sit down, and the person in the front was pleasant about not finding my order. However, the food was too disappointing, not to let people know. read more

My friend and I went to this during the soft opening, which we did not realize was a soft opening considering how much everyone was posting about it on Facebook groups. The service was tremendously slow, there were so many mistakes in our order process, there were maybe two waitresses for how busy it was, when I decided on what I wanted they told me that they were out of chicken so half the menu was out... We had decided that I would share the large soup with my friend And after about 30 minutes the soup comes out and they inform me that what I originally ordered they had "found another portion so it'll be out soon"... It did not come out soon. My poor friend had to struggle with eating his food while it was hot and waiting for my food to come out so I told him to go ahead. He said the soup was really good, I believe it was some beef soup they have. I wasn't really impressed with the grandma pork dish that I got in the end... The waitress was great, she tried very hard but she kept delivering the wrong food to us and we ended up being there for 2 and 1/2 hours due to wait times. In the end, the soup dumplings were amazing and I would go back for that and that alone until the business settles.. I may just do take out soup dumplings to avoid service issues all together. read more

Food is delicious and well worth it!!! Have done take pit and eat in and food is always great.

Overall, this is going to be a good review. I like it here, and the food and service are great. But! When I got to the restaurant, 8 pm on a Tuesday, I was the ONLY CUSTOMER. The staff was kind and attentive, but there was no music; they'd obviously assumed only take-out for the last hour and a half they were open. That's not their fault, it just was funny! Also sad because their food is so flippin' good. I got Szechuan wontons and spicy tonkotsu ramen. The wontons were a little over boiled, but the filling was delicious. I do think they may have under spiced the wontons, because the chili oil they were in was more oil than chili. It was good, but I was hoping for more numbness and spice. The ramen was delicious!! The broth was thick and flavorful, very yummy pork flavor. The noodles weren't overcooked and were a lovely texture. Pork, egg, fish cake and mushroom toppings were all great texture and tasted perfect. I got full too fast to eat my whole ramen bowl, but the staff was kind enough to give me a to-go so I can enjoy this ramen tomorrow. I came tonight because I'd had the ramen here once before, and today only reminded me how much I like it. I hope more people decide to go to this great Asian fusion place, if only so this restaurant stays open for me to try more dishes. read more

I love the vegetarian dumplings. They are so good I keep going back just for those. The vegetarian Ramen was really good and the broth was super flavorful. The dumpling dough is soft and pillowy. You can tell they're made in house and not frozen. My bf has enjoyed everything he's ordered and specifically would recommend the pork dumpling. This place satisfies vegetarian and non vegetarian alike. The only thing lacking are the beverages when dining in, as there isn't much of a selection. I wish they had a hot tea selection (or any). We mostly order takeout from this place, so not a big deal. Give this place a try. read more

Oh my gosh from the decor to the food, absolutely perfect and top notch. I was hoping to try a signature cocktail but they don't have their liquor license at the moment. My friend and I got the dumplings which were incredible, the spicy sauce is spicy though to warn ya!!! Then he got the sweet and sour flounder which he said was amazing and I got the general Tsos chicken (they were out of what I wanted, the crispy chicken so I'll be going back!) ... so much flavor and it was just so amazing ... the pictures don't do it justice!!!!!! read more

So it's the former Storming Crab, Koto location. There's graffiti everywhere. We went around 6pm on a Saturday long line just to put name on the waitlist but it cleared quickly. Waited about 30-40 mins maybe? The print on the menu is very small. It is a large menu. Only sodas and water to drink. Service was very friendly however the poor girls were running like crazy because they were busy. We ordered pork soup dumplings that were delicious, messy because the spoon was a regular spoon not suited for a messy dumpling. Chicken dumplings were good with the soy sauce. They could have been warmer, crab Rangoon were huge but not much flavor, shrimp dumplings were also delicious. So sadly all of our meals came out separately. My sister ordered chicken lo Mein I ordered shrimp with walnuts that came out after everyone else was ready to leave. It was flavor full but I packed it to go. I'll give them time to hire people and get the cook to coordinate how they cook meals better. read more

2 HOUR WAIT. Lunch here is good, service is fast and food is hot. However, the dinner I had here on a Saturday was less than acceptable. 6 PM reservation, verified 3 days in advance and SOMEHOW the hostess can't find us on the list. I'm the one who finds us and we are seated 15 minutes after our assigned time, and right next to the TV's no less with the volume cranked to 50 on each one. Took 6 requests for them to turn the volume down. Waiter must have been new, because there's no other reason for service to be this bad. 10 more minutes for water, additional 10 for him to take our order. We ordered Crab Rangoons, beef scallion pancake and pork dumplings for appetizers. Another 30 minutes they come out, everything is warm at best. Rangoons had almost NO filling. Dinner? We ordered it at the same time as the appetizers. Another 45 minutes after we get the appetizers the first dinner arrives. ONE. Each one was coming out individually. My order was first, but the last meal arrived 25 minutes after the first and only because of me asking every 5 minutes, "do you know where our food is?" At this point, we are hitting the 2 hour mark. I understand if a place was busy, but this was unacceptable to me. Was the food good? Yeah, with the exception of the chicken pineapple fried rice... Which had NO pineapple in it. I mean, it's in the name, right? You'd think it was a main ingredient. The Deep Fried Spicy Beef, Mongolian Beef and Garlic Ribs were all very good. Will I come back? For lunch, yes. But until they get their service issues fixed I'll pass on another dinner. read more

Fun atmosphere, great service and very fresh, hot, flavorful food! Glad we popped in for dinner.

Good service, food was very good, pecking pork was a little sweeter than I thought it would be but still very tasty with a touch of spice. Soup dumplings were spot on! Definitely recommend if you're looking for something a little more traditional. read more

Walked in around 5:00 with reservations. Hostess said she was busy and said will be with us and to sit down. We said we had reservations and didn't appear to hear us. Place was completely empty and was not sure what was up. More people started to come and began to get upset because she wasn't seating any of us. Finally we asked why we weren't being seated and she said busy with takeout. Not a good start. Finally sat us and and went to order drink . No liquor license. Ok strike two. Ordered tea for myself and my friend and a glass of water. Tea came out with one cup. Of course. Guess my friend wasn't thirsty. Had to flag down waitress to get another cup. We ordered steam dumplings to start. Asked for fried noodles with hot mustard to accompany and server said she did not know what that was. Literally had to explain to her. For dinner we ordered Kung Pao chicken and Beef and Broccoli. Both came out at different times with no rice and plates. Had to have her go and get them. She said she forgot. Both were very tasty with just a little to much salt. Waitress never once asked how we were doing or how the food was. I asked her how long has she been waiting tables. She said two days. At this point felt bad for her and still gave her a good tip. Until they figure things out we won't be back. read more

Great service! Waiter was very friendly, and food came out quickly. My favorite was the Mongolian chicken which had really good flavor.

I came in with a group and they gave us the VIP room it was truly an extraordinary experience. The food is truly authentic 10/10. It gives NYC restaurants a run for their money. read more

So good. This place is bright and clean and a place with a great positive feeling. The hostess just might be one of the owners. Our waitress was very helpful. I have eaten dumplings in a Chinese restaurant in NYC. She gave good suggestions and the dumplings were excellent. This is absolutely a return visit soon. More. - had the lobster in garlic and scallions. Very well prepared. Sticky fingers were worth it. Calamari was pretty hot. The waitress offered to tone it down. No liquor license yet. I don't care. read more

Food was excellent as well as the service. Very reasonable too. The server was very attentive.

The place is very welcoming and the staff is quite friendly. The food is slightly better than your average hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant in the hood. Nothing really special here. Overpriced American/Chinese food. read more

Just tried for first time today, always heard great things! Well, those reviews were correct.
