This review's for the food and not the ambience/restaurant space itself. I've only eaten by delivery from here. Their updated hours: Monday-Saturday 11am-12am and Sunday noon-12AM. This place opens late! For delivery, you have to order at least $10 worth of food. I got a Malaysian ho fun noodles (flat spicy noodles is what they are advertised as), hot and sour soup and a vitamin water. The ho fun noodles are absolutely up my alley. These are the types of noodles I tend to crave. They are like chow fun noodles except much wider. I love this type of noodle so much and am so happy I found a place that serves them. The noodles aren't super spicy. The food came super hot and came with a free fortune cookie and a bag of fried wonton strips (I am guessing for the soup). The soup tastes slightly different than some hot and sour soups I've had but it is very yummy still. I also tried the garlic chicken and kung pao beef. I liked that you could choose which size you wanted for the chicken (pint vs. quart). Finally, people can order different portion sizes for Chinese take-out! They both come with rice. Their menu is huge and includes American, Thaï, Malaysian, Chinese, and Japanese foods. Foods included burgers, kim chi, fried rices, hibachi, noodles, soups, salads, tofu dishes, diet menu (less fried stuff, more steamed stuff) and desserts like almond or fortune cookies. They deliver on GrubHub. I'll likely order from them again. Delivery took 18 minutes (both times I ordered) which was much faster than their estimated 40-50 minutes. The driver was friendly and had a smile. He called upon arriving and said he was at the lobby (when really he was in his car outside in the parking lot in front of the lobby). Nevertheless, he pulled up just at the right time as I stepped out the door. The outside of the noodle box was greasy but I guess lots of Chinese take-out tends to be overall greasy. My vitamin water came cold which was nice. They cook their food without MSG. They also do catering and party trays. Delivery was $1.25 and the order was under $14. Most delivery spots in Syracuse are $2.99. I was sick and really wanted congee. I ordered the rice chicken soup thinking it was congee but it wasn't. It didn't have the ginger flavor that congee often has and the rice was more loose than mushy. I also tried the wonton soup. The broth was fine but the wontons itself weren't the best. I ordered online. Pickup process was easy. Nice kid working the door. The pu pu platter was delicious my favorite had to be the chicken on a stick and spring rolls. The chicken and broccoli was very good too, too much broccoli and not much chicken but still was delicious, also adding the white rice to it. A lot of food and will definitely fill you up. Chicken kung pao filled with veggies hardly any chicken , the sauce was missing in action and by default didn't taste like kung pao but instead steamed chicken with vegetables and pepper flakes. There fried rice filled the lunch combo. I'm giving it 3 stars because it arrived quick and hot. There is a plus to hot meals. It's really too bad because their food is really good. We ordered through Grub Hub and mine was good but my co-worker bit into a staple and it went through her tongue. She went to get tetanus shot because having a staple go through your tongue is not cool. She simply took the bill for the shot to the owner and asked them to just pay for the shot, nothing else and they accused her of all sorts of stuff. We had called them as soon as the staple was found and reported it and they did nothing. This was a cause and effect situation. I've been looking for a decent Chinese place that delivers and have tried AP three times since the pandemic. The food is ok in general but today's was pretty awful. I ordered fried fish and fried rice with a salad. The delivery was fast. The food was not hot. The fried rice was bland with canned vegetables in in. The fried fish was TERRIBLE. Asian Palace has Chinese, Japanese and American selections. So you have a wider variety of menu items than elsewhere. I would highly recommend the Wassabi Shumai. All the food I have had from them is good. Their delivery is very fast and driver was courteous and friendly. Delivery charge was only $1.25. If I had only received delivery here I would give five stars. Unfortunately that was not the case. I would recommend you NEVER eat in at this establishment. The counter lady is rude and the place is cold. I will not even begin to describe the state of their bathroom. Suffice it to say, a palace it is not! Today is my first time try this restaurant. It was amazing. My first good impression is the delivery people were so nice and pretty fast. They also gave me a lovely fortune cookie which I didn't expect. Moreover, they put a lot of sauce in my food bag. Seamless delivery is always very fast which is a plus, but they have lost my business to Bamboo House because they failed to make the very common dish beef ho fun (乾炒牛河) well. I don't have sky-high expectations for cheap Chinese take-out, but this is a very simple dish that should meet a common (if low) standard regardless of which "quick-n-dirty" Chinese fast food restaurant you pick. Also this is obviously not a must, but it would be nice if they offered Chinese broccoli (gai lan) in their dishes. Not sure if this is available from restaurant suppliers in the Syracuse area.
