These guys really got me out of a stressful situation. My car key went totally missing and I had to get my dog to the vet. The Toyota dealership said I would have to call a tow truck, then pay 250 for a key, then it would be "really expensive" for the labor but couldn't tell me. We needed our locks rekeyed around 5:30 pm on a Saturday evening. We called Mr. Locksmith and someone was at our house within 20 minutes and the work took about 20 minutes. We needed two doors rekeyed, and each had a deadbolt and a knob lock (so 4 locks total). Our technician told us that he could get us an estimate once he saw the locks, and the final cost was over $550. We had the same locks rekeyed previously by for $240, so the after-hours and same day service charge was significant. Wouldn't deter us from using them again, just wanted to be transparent about pricing for other Yelpers. Great service, friendly and knowledgeable technicians. So I recently had cause to procure the services of a locksmith and reached out to Mr Locksmith as they had told me they were under new management. I originally gave a lower review because the actual price was significantly higher than reasonable for non-emergency work and we were never given a quote or told it would be higher before the technician started. Lee followed up when I left a negative review and offered to refund more than half of what we paid, which brought the price for everything to a reasonable rate. I really appreciated Lee taking the time to follow up. I was impressed by that customer service (although note that I emailed before leaving a Yelp review and got no response until I left a negative review). In the end, I would use them again, given the eventual customer service, but I would be careful to get a quote and make sure I understood everything before letting them begin. read more

One of our doors had a less than ideal set up. We were contemplating replacing the entire door, but Lee was able to come up with a lock replacement that worked saving us hundreds of dollars. On top of all that, he was so friendly with my very happy dog. He has a pit bull of his own which you should ask him about!. We needed our locks replaced in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was fast and efficient service. I really appreciated that the technician came wearing a mask. However I feel that they need to be more transparent regarding pricing. I called and asked for an estimate and was quoted $45-75 and then $29 fee for the tech to come out. I was then charged $160 which supposedly included the $30 discount I purchased on Yelp. This was a simple lock and it took the tech 5 minutes to complete the job. The receipt I received was also not itemized. ETA: I initially gave a 3 star review. However I do appreciate Leo the business owner reaching out to me directly to try and clear up this misunderstanding. In the end I was charged a fee much closer to the original quote. I originally gave a lower review because the actual price was about 2.5 x the estimate they gave me. But the owner followed up when I left a negative review and offered to refund some of the money. I originally had sticker shock when the worker (Eske--really great) told me it would be $229 because a) it was a metal door and therefore very hard to get the door open without drilling the lock (which was true--he was sweating after trying like 10 times!), and b) because it was 11:30 on a Saturday night. I thought the could have given me an estimate that was closer to the actual amount by asking what kind of door I had and explaining their pricing beforehand, but the owner explained that the person who gave me the estimate ($98) was new and didn't know the right questions to ask. I was upset about the difference between the estimate and the actual price, but the owner followed up and refunded me a good chunk of that to what I thought was a fairer price. I really appreciate that follow up. So, in the end, while I still feel that the pricing is a bit high, they definitely work to earn it with their impeccable customer service. read more

I called the number on the website on last Friday, Feb. 4th and asked for a price to change a lock on a door. I told them I was in a condo and they told me the price was $49 for the service fee and $75 for each lock. I have 2 ( a deadbolt & a doorknob lock). I asked twice and was told this was the price. When the guy arrived here, he quoted me $189 PER LOCK! When I told him the price I was quoted, he said that it was starting at $75. When I asked him what did the $75 lock look like, he explained that it would have been $75 if I had BOUGHT my OWN lock and have them install it. I wish they would have told me that because I could have gone up the street to LOWE's and bought the same one he charged me $378 for less than $100. I needed it done so I let him do the work, but the dispatch should do better to expain their pricing. For this reason, I would not recommend or use them again. read more

He provide great customer service and was willing to go above and beyond to lower the price. Although I decided not to get the locks at this time, he still was gracious enough to be willing to refund me the service fee. Great customer service is hard to come across these days. I had a very unfortunate experience with this service. I called and was given a quote for a lockout, understanding that the quote given was for a simple lock (which I was told by a later locksmith, mine was). When the technician arrived (I believe he was external), he proceeded to give me a quote that was close to 200% of the initial one given. I understand that a quote may change, but this seemed unnaceptable. When I said this, he essentially started to bargain with me, seeing what I would pay, even showing me a message from the employer telling him to "try to get x$ from me". In the end they offered significantly higher than the quote, but below what he had initially wanted (for the exact same service). Had I been told this value when he arrived, I would have been willing to pay, but it felt absurd to have been bargained with and overcharged in such a manner. In the end I called another locksmith. Not only did they give a firm value (not just a random quote), but it also ended up being cheaper than what these guys wanted. Unless you want to be stuck bargaining back and forth with a technician trying to massivelt overcharge you, I highly reccomend you stay away from this business. read more

No parts were replaced. He only opened my door to my condo that took him all but 10 minutes. I felt I had no other option. I couldn't wait another hour for someone else. When I asked why so much, he said I need to pay for my equipment. I'm using my equipment. He did not use any fancy high-tech equipment. This is outrageous! Let me tell you...Jacob is the man. He showed up and showed out. I won't even begin to get into the issues that happened with the doors needing new locks but the biggest problem was that I was told I had the key to all locks but it actually was only to the front door. Jacob let me know that this will require a lot more work but he wouldn't hit me hard with the additional costs. He was fair upfront and honest throughout the process. I had locked my keys in my car, they said they would be there in 25 minutes, the cost $29 Well they arrived an hour and twenty minutes later, I'm in the freezing cold. Now the guys tells me it's $29 for the service fee and $150 to unlock my car Not wanting to pay this ridiculous amount of money and feeling like it was such a "scam" I told them to go!
