This is a great spot with a big lot, right by Brazilian bbq. On a random Tuesday for an early bird dinner, this place already had a few tables full of customers eating. The guy at the counter where I paid for my order was super nice and helpful. I ordered from their website and got there sooner than the expected wait time. While I paid for my order, the guy kindly told me what they were working on and that it would be right out. He even offered me water while I waited. I declined just because they were almost done. And about a minute later, the last of my order came out and I was on my way to my destination. I've never had this place before then, and the chicken flavors were delicious. My favorite was the Mr. Lee flavor because it had a little bit of sweet, spicy and savory all in one bite. They have a flavor for everything, and if you can't decide, you can order a little bit of every flavor. I genuinely think you can't go wrong because they have something for everyone, spicy, sweet, savory, plain. Now I can only speak on their quality after some travel time, so I would take my next bit with a grain of salt, but the chicken wasn't as crunchy as I would expect. After being dipped in wet sauce and then packaged in a to go box (they kept some flaps open for air), and then packaged again in a bag, I would expect it to lose some crunch. The fries were good but also soggy by the time we ate them. But again, we had got it to go and then traveled to our location before opening the bag, box, and then eating. Over all a good place. It's a bit pricy but worth it. We were craving for some chicken and this place was suggested to us. First impression: There was plenty of parking (off street). There were also plenty of seating inside (we came off peak and there was only one other couple there). To order, you'll have to scan a code and order through your phone. It was actually pretty easy and efficient. The food: We enjoyed the mixed sides (fries, sweet potatoes and onion rings). It was fairly fresh was seasoned well. Definitely a good portion to share. The chicken was great! It was lightly nattered, seasoned well, and tender in the inside. There were a variety of dipping sauces available which was good. There were also different flavors that you can choose from. Our order came to almost $100. There were only three of us but it could have fed 4-5 people, so we took the left overs home. Again, overall a good place to go to if you're craving chicken. There are other places nearby that specializes in chicken, so look at Yelp and read the reviews for all the places to get a gauge if you want to try this place. I absolutely love this place. I've been eating here pretty regularly over the last year and a half, and the food is very consistently superb. Mr. Lee is a treasure and you should absolutely try this place of you're a fan of Korean food. The fried Chicken is SO good (soy sauce is my favorite flavor), the ramen (I like the chicken), and fried rice (I like the spam) are all fantastic, too. I visited Mr Lee Chicken and thought it was good but not great. Compared to other Korean fried chicken chains, I'd put it right in the middle. The batter was a little on the heavy side. We ordered 20 wings, half just fried and half Mr. Lee. The Mr. Lee sauce was great, a mix of soy, garlic, and jalapeno that was just right in terms of sweetness, saltiness, and spiciness. I had a side of pickled radish. Total came out to about $23 including tax and tip. The Mr.Lee seasoning had a slightly spicy flavor and very savory aroma of garlic, onion, and jalapeño. A slight hint of sweetness to make it very addicting but wouldn't say the chicken is "sweet." If you prefer savory chicken I would definitely order this one. The YangYum chicken was a very sweet-forward gochujang flavor. Reminds me of sweet chili sauce with richer flavor from the gochujang. Only cons were that the girl at the counter was way overloded. Trying to serve 10+ groups dining in, as well as taking to-go orders, bussing tables, etc. She was literally running trying to serve food and drinks and take orders. I think it's best to go up to pay and get to-go containers rather than wait for her to come after requesting on the phone. The other con is that something happened in one of the bathrooms. Ok, this review has been a long time coming. Mr. Lee Chicken is located in the Park n Shop center in the old Burger King location. My family are huge Korean fried chicken wing fans and Mr. Lee Chicken is our go to KFC spot. The chicken is always hot, fresh and crispy and perfectly seasoned. So good! We usually get a full order of the Mr. Lee, and half/half Yang Nyum and Spicy. Sooo yummy!! We also usually get an order of the kimchi fried rice, fries, mandoo (potstickers). Everything is made to order, so expect a bit of a wait if you dine in or call ahead for your order! There's also a billiards area to play pool if that's your thing. The space is bright and trendy. Mr. Lee himself is usually there running a tight ship and providing wonderful service. We usually come in with all of our kids and he's always super accommodating. You have the option of ordering at the counter or using the QR code to place your order from your table which is pretty efficient. We've eaten here quite a few time since the end of April and have never had any order mistakes using the QR code. If there's just one thing I would nitpick-- the restrooms are a little scary. Otherwise, as my littlest would say, 2 thumbs up! Mr. Lee Chicken will always be in our family rotation! Highly recommend! read more

First time here . When I walked in the first thought was , "oh wow it's spacious and CLEAN" I love when a place is clean. I ordered really quickly because I had a 30 min lunch . So I got some water and fries and a chicken burger ! The fries WE COOKED TO ORDER ! And I love that they were fresh and little to non salt . WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! First, I order the 10 piece boneless chicken lunch special, which comes with rice and a salad for pick-up through YELP. I'm shown that the lunch should be ready by 12:15 pm. I get to Mr. Lee's Chicken (MLC), by 12:30 pm. When I arrived, the guy at the cash register informed me that they'd never received my order because it was made through GrubHub (GH), so of course it wasn't ready and I was going to be late for work. The guy looked at my order, told me it would take another 10 minutes to get ready (it took 20). In the meantime, I called GH and asked them why they said my order was going to be ready at a certain time and the restaurant said they never received the order. While still on the phone, the clerk at GH said she called MLC who told them I'd already received my order, which was true as they handed it to me while I was on the phone and was walking out the door. She said since I'd already received my order, there was nothing they could do and since I "Ordered through Yelp" as a third party, there was nothing they could do anyway. FINE!!! So I get back to the office, open my meal and there is no rice and salad... I call back to MLC and inform them that I'm missing the rice and salad. The guy who I'd spoken to earlier at the restaurant got on the phone and told me that Yes, I did order the 10 piece boneless chicken "BUT" it wasn't a lunch special and didn't come with rice and salad. P.S. (Take a look at the Mr. Lee's Chicken menu on YELP, and scroll all the way down to where it says "Lunch Specials!!!" What does it say that the "10 piece boneless chicken" comes with? I told him that MLC's menu on YELP shows the 10 piece boneless chicken as a "Lunch Special" that comes with rice and salad and that's what I ordered. He told me that he doesn't have anything to do with that menu and to order directly from the restaurant next time. HOW is a regular person supposed to know that when you order something through the YELP app, it goes to GrubHub, who tells you things about your order that the restaurant who's supposed to make the food, doesn't know even about and doesn't even have your order when you arrive for pickup?? How is a regular person supposed to know that if something goes wrong, depending on what it is, such as the food not being ready on time, and the order not even making it to the restaurant until 20 minutes later, that no one will take responsibility for it?? How is a regular person supposed to know that if you order something from the restaurant's menu shown on YELP, via GrubHub, and when you realize that you didn't receive the items that you ordered, and you inform the restaurant, the restaurant tell you " You didn't order directly from us and we don't have anything to do with "THAT" menu so we have no responsibility to fulfill your order??" I called GrubHub back and they eventually said they would refund my order, but I've now wasted all that time from work dealing with this ridiculous problem. My advice, just order directly from the restaurant if you can. I don't think YELP or GrubHub will help much if there's a problem such as this one. Do people know that when ordering through YELP, the order goes through another party, other than the restaurant, so when something goes wrong with your order, YELP, the other party and the restaurant can deny any responsibility and/or point the finger at someone else?? While Mr. Lee's Chicken in Concord makes good chicken, the lack of quality customer service and the unnecessary hassle/confusion makes this a place I'll have to really consider whether they deserve to see my hard earned dollars again. I asked him (the employee at the register taking orders) are the same flavors for wings available for breast and thigh. He looked back and said with an attitude, "yea." I don't know what has happened at Mr Lee in Concord, but it is not an improvement. This week I had another original 8-piece (4 drum/4 thigh) piece plain fried chicken order. What did they do to their recipe?? The coating was not as crunchy as before, the coating and the chicken meat itself was very salty -- brined to death like Popeye's Chicken. The thigh pieces were shaped like a thick log, rather than the normal thigh shape -- as if either side of the thigh meat had been cut away. So disappointed! read more

I love me some fried chicken, especially korean fried chicken. I'm a huge fan of Bonchon's and Von's chicken so I decided to give this place a shot. My friends and I came here on a Sunday after. As we were arriving, a big party was leaving. It was apparent they occupied the long row of tables that we saw to the right of the shop and them tables definitely needed to be turned over. We posted up at an empty table and after a few minutes, a guy came out with a QR code for us to scan at the menu. They do have a menu posted on their wall but honestly, I prefer a physical menu. The QR code was for the menu and to request for server. Their website wasn't the most user-friendliest but we were able to order what we needed. We shared a bowl of kimchi fried rice and a half/half order of their garlic chicken and yangNyum chicken. We were presented with plastic utensils and a metal pan that had seen better days because they were scratched AF! I presume they previously used metal utensils and they stopped because people were going HAM cutting up chicken. Those pans need to be changed asap because if a nonstick teflon coating has been compromised, the chemicals can flake off into your food! Research 'PFAS' y'all. They should switch over to reusable regular dishware or paper plates because those scratched up pans don't fly with me. The kimchi fried rice came in a metal bowl and spoon. It was garnished with a crispy fried egg and seaweed. The rice had tasty pieces of chicken in it and overall delicious. Good size to share with 3 people. Our chicken came on a metal tray lined with paper. We never received the side of daikon that's supposed to come with our chicken. The chicken that I had were boneless, crispy, juicy and flavorful. My favorite was the garlic chicken, but the yangNyum flavaflav was just as good. My friend was curious about the Mr lee sauce, so we ordered a side of sauce, which was about a dollar. I dipped both chicken flavors into the sauce and it had a smokey light kick to it. Service was slower than molasses. The food took 20+ mins to get to us and there were 2 groups waiting for to-go orders. Im guessing they were slow due to prepping online orders. I used the QR code to 'call for server' twice for the bill until somebody finally came. During our time there, the table from the big group was never cleaned. And it's the first set of tables you see when you walk in. The guy never came back for the payment so I had to walk to the counter to get his attention. Overall, good chicken and kimichi fried rice at a decent price. My friends and I were pretty full. Our server was nice, but service was unsatisfactory due the lack of attention and long wait times. Came here on a Saturday night with a friend and the place wasn't too busy! Plenty of seats in the restaurant and plenty of parking in the plaza. 1) Chicken: THIS IS GOOD. The garlic one has has this syrupy sauce of it which is very delightful. The outer layer isn't too thick and it has the right amount of crunch. 2) Ddeukbokki: This was was interesting. It seemed more of a fusion dish than a Korean dish because it had a pretty strong curry taste + vinegar seasoning. It didn't taste bad but it does not taste like regular old fashioned ddeukbokki. The curry and vinegar taste kind of grows on you. The rice cakes were very chewy!
