Dumplings on point. No question about it. Fried rice is blah and would not order it again but the dumplings did not disappoint. Service? That is why I did not give them 5 stars. Do they care? Nah, they probably laugh at Yelp reviews but that does not change the fact that they are like drones. No greetings or any type of friendly. Read other reviews with similar experiences if you want proof. Work is optimal. I am a strong believer that if you are somewhere you might as well make the best out of the situation. As for the restaurant it was cute but the tables were soo sticky and gross we asked the waiter to clean it and he used a dry rag, and was rude about it. Don't drive all the way to Arcadia for Din Tai Fung for great dumplings if you live near Rancho Cucamonga. No need to with Mr. Dumpling. This gem is located in a strip mall and has great customer service and excellent food. We had the Beef and Green Onion steamed dumplings, Spicy Wontons, Fried Rice, and Spicy Cucumbers. My bf and I came here for lunch last month, and we enjoyed our experience! My favorite was the spicy cucumbers-- I loooooooooved the flavor and the cucumbers were fresh. We also ordered the soup dumplings with peanut butter-- an interesting kick to the soup flavor! Dumplings are usually an appetizer (think gyoza, the pan fried dumpling) at most restaurants or to-go Chinese food shops, but not here! It is the main deal! You need to try these dumplings because eating the same chain restaurant food on Foothill Blvd. is getting old fast. Mr. Dumpling will give you something new to get excited about that's just as fast and easy as ordering from a chain restaurant. I ordered 2 orders of pan fried, beef and onion dumplings (20 dumplings total) and 2 different steamed dumpling orders: 1 shrimp, 1 pork and cabbage. I also ordered a side of fried rice and cucumber salad. My favorite was definitely the pan fried beef and onion dumplings, everything else was ok. Also my order was completed in exactly 15 minutes. Is it Din Tai Fung good; maybe? A couple moments later she still insisted we ordered that and I'm like no, only 1. Finally, glad she took that 1 extra dumpling order away. When the bill came, that extra dumpling order was charged. I love their beef noodle soup- their homemade noodles, bok choy, beef chunks, in a spicy, a bit oily (from chili oil), soy sauce based soup garnished with cilantro and green onions. The soup is flavorful enough to dip my dumplings into them. I've tried their steamed dumplings. I wasn't a fan of eggs being in it. I stick with their pan fried dumplings- beef and green onions. The dumplings are made in house from scratch- you can watch them being made. There is a station to mix up your own custom dipping sauce. Dine in area has enough tables, with very efficient and quick service. A carafe of water is provided. I saw they will offer boba drinks in the future. My husband and I have been here a handful of times, I even brought my mom a couple of times and we like the food. They have A TV and music playing but it's always a Chinese station and Chinese music so I just tune it out since I don't understand any of it. Finally came to this place after craving dumplings. I wish there were options for stars as I would give this place 3.5 stars. I ordered Togo steamed beef dumplings and steamed pork dumplings. I don't like my dumplings fried (personal choice). I also ordered spicy wonton soup and fried rice. Okay so the dumplings were good but not great. I guess to each their own. The wrapper is just a tad bit chewy than I am used to. I'm so glad we chose Mr. Dumpling for recovery food after a long night out. Nothing beats comfort like a big bowl of soup and hot dumplings! We came around 2pm on a Saturday and the wait was 20 min. The staff was a bit unorganized and I think our delay could've been managed better. We saw an entire group move all their bowls and utensils across the room after already being seated. After being seated, we went to get our own dipping sauces at the DIY station nearby the cashier. I loved the fresh garlic and hot chili! Ginger isn't included here; you get them with your dumplings. Our group got a little too ambitious and had second meals for leftovers. The serving sizes are HUGE. The prices here were all under $10, mostly $8.45 for an enormous bowl of noodles. We got the beef tendons, clear beef noodles, the spicy beef noodles, the dry pork noodles, the juicy pork dumplings, and steamed beef dumplings. All noodle bowls had lotsssss of noodles. We realized we could've been better off sharing a bowl or just getting one less order of dumplings. FOODS beef tendons - Good appetizer that goes great with DIY dipping sauce. We had family in town and interested in a good place to try dumplings for the first time. Found Mr. Dumpling via Yelp and so happy we found a lil hidden gem in the wall. Mr. Dumplings is located in a shopping center, same location as Chuck E. Cheese. The restaurant is small in size and has indoor dining with about 5-7 tables. It is self serve in terms of seat yourself, order and pay first. The staff gave us a few house recommendations and felt confident ordering what they suggested us: cucumber salad (omg so good, my mouth is watering thinking of the lime/lemons they use to drench is cucumber in a tangy spicy lemon juice) so good and highly recommend you try it. We also ordered the beef and green onion dumplings, pan seared fried rice and the steamed house dumplings. The reviews were not lying when they said these dumplings are hand-made on site, you won't have to drive to LA oh and yummy. Everything we ordered was delicious and has us already thinking about our next trip here. Like the other reviews said don't be intimidated by all the takeout containers stored in the dining area. I was pretty excited to hear about a new dumpling place in the area and to see how it compares to places out in SGV. I've been here a few times and have to say the dumplings are pretty tasty with thick chewy skins. They also are able to offer both pan fried options and steamed options pretty well with juicy insides. I would say that a the pan fried skins are done a little better elsewhere like Luscious Dumplings with more of a "sticky" effect and the noodle soups were just good but not great. Interior is quite clean and modern with a glassed off area where you can watch the ladies make the dumplings from scratch.
