The person that was racist toward my family and me.

Super rude toward white people. Actually told me I couldn't sit at a table with my family because it was a two person table sitting next to a 4 person table. When I asked who said I cant sit next to my family, she shoved the table away from me and took a chair, slamming it next to the table next to me, leaving me only to sit alone. My family and I will never buy anything from such a rude and racist establishment and I strongly no one else either.

Horrible!! This older lady with short hair wouldn't serve us. We stopped by to try the dumplings, she told us they ran out of pork, so we ordered chicken. She puts our order in and then tries to sale us other items, but we didn't want anything else. She tells us "oh ok let me see if we still have food left" she then turns around to her kitchen area and acts as if she's talking to the cook. Comes back to us and says "we don't have anything left, sorry." At first I immediately felt profiled because she wouldn't even look me in the face while I was ordering, but after seeing other reviews it's evident that she's just a horrible person. Please don't waste your money with these people.

Vegetable Steamed Dumplings

Not ashamed to admit that I visited twice in a day because that's how delicious their steamed vegetable dumplings are. Very soft that it melts into your mouth and is easy to swallow. The wrap isn't dry and the filling is delicious stuffed with glass noodles and chives. Quick service. It took less than 10 mins to have my order ready and it seems like it's a popular spot for lunch. Located in the Hmart food court, so it's very busy and surrounded by delicious restaurants. So many options to choose from here.

The family that owns this restaurant is so amazingly nice. They always say hello when my family comes for lunch. The dumplings are cooked to perfection and they make sure you are happy! Had so much food that was delicious. Keep in mind that there will probably be a line as they are very popular in the food court inside H Mart.

The food was amazing and the owner was the absolute sweetest. If you like dumplings check them out! 10/10

This place was just ok. Service was great but the dumplings didn't have enough flavor for me.

There are decent dumpling options to choose from and it's conveniently located inside the Hmart. Service is slow, so be prepared for that.

Ask the Community - Mr Dumpling

I have peanut, walnut and pecan allergies. Is it safe for me to eat here?

My Brother has a tree-nut allergy (everything excluding peanuts). There wasn't anything he couldn't eat, and to my knowledge there wasn't any peanuts but I but I would double check!

How many dumplings do you get?

Most of the time 10 each order. Only the king dumplings are about 5-6

What hours do they serve dim sum?

It's not a dim sum place but rather a dumpling eatery inside the hmart grocery store.

Definitely skip the dim sum as all the other reviews are stating. The noodle soups are quite good. The egg noodles have a good consistency and the broth is *usually* flavorful with tender meat if you get the beef. My favorite go to are the BBQ items. I usually come once a week for a 2 BBQ combo, you can choose from roast pork, bbq pork, duck, chicken. All of the choices are good and its served on rice w/ veggies, usually bok choi. The crispy roast pork only comes out after around noon. Also its best during lunch. By dinner time the food has been out too long and its not as good. You can also buy meat by the pound as well.

Imagine growing up in one of the classic Chinatown areas (San Francisco, Flushing, Garden Grove,…read morePhilly) and spending weekends there enjoying dim sum and other Asian cuisine with your closest family members. Then you move away from that hometown area for school and have urges to indulge in delicious dim sum. Asian Gourmet Kitchen has the ability to bring back those sweet childhood memories and aromas, but sadly, the food is just not up to par. We ordered the shrimp dumplings and the pork shumai, which smelled delicious, but unfortunately the same could not be said about the taste. The dumplings seemed overcooked and the fillings were already falling out of the dumpling skin, not to mention that they were overly salty. The shumai similarly had the skin falling off, but the taste was decent. All in all, it's a pretty quick place to drop by and grab some BBQ/dim sum/noodle soup if you get hungry while shopping at the 99 Ranch the restaurant is inside, but it's not somewhere I would go out of the way to visit -- there's definitely better out there.

But I stayed then later noticed there was food spatter all over the window. There were also lots of cleaning products and boxes piled up in plain site. Hallway to bathroom full of products. In the bathroom products by the bar boxes and products. Huge piles of just junk. The food. I ordered the Peking duck. It came with a duck soup. The soup wasn't hot, not even warm. The Peking duck with accoutrements wasn't any better. The veggies were limp as if they had been sitting out all morning uncovered. The pancakes were very dry and lukewarm. But they got progressively colder. Last third of the basket was ice cold. The duck, was not hot. It also wasn't freshly made. It had been sitting out. It didn't have the crispy snap skin should have. It was super greasy. And because it was cool that grease was just sitting on the skin like a second coating. I paid but ate nothing. I won't be back and don't recommend.

Enjoyed my meal at Onesan…read more Nice that even Saturday had an abundance of great happy hour options, although the sashimi flight of five small pieces of sashimi at $20, as good as it tasted and looked, seemed more like "normal hour" pricing rather than anything "happy". For reference, the Little Katana happy hour sashimi appetizer is 7+ larger, fresh pieces INCLUDING a beer or wine for $15. When I asked how many pieces it included when I ordered it, the waitress didn't seem to know, mentioning anywhere from 5 to 10 pieces. I'd probably not order this option on return visits. The other items tried were all very good and reasonably priced. Their take on the margarita was also tasty and really didn't stray much in taste from a typical spicy margarita. Aside from not knowing menu details, the service provided was otherwise very good and efficient. Drinks, however, took longer than expected to arrive, showing up after some of the food items had already been served. That may have been more of a bar issue than the servers. Ambiance is great. Very nice and peaceful, especially in the booths at the back. Looked like a nice bar and patio area, too! Will definitely be back!

We have dined at this location often over the last five years. Our recent visit (yesterday…read moreevening)was less than satisfying. We were seated ( party of four)next to a larger table in the corner of the restaurant. When we ordered, they only took our appetizer order and we had to wait a long period of time before they would take our entree order. During this time, a large table next to us filled up with 6 people who were making so much noise that our table could not even hear each other's conversation. The larger table occupants were loud, rude , and obnoxious. We asked our waitress to do something and the wait staff ignored our request to intervene on our behalf for calmer demeanor from them. Finally , someone from my table had to address this personally and confronted the loud group and asked if they could tone down their enthusiasm so we, and other patrons, could enjoy our evening at the restaurant. They only cut the noise for a few minutes and started again with the loud voices and over boisterous laughter . We were greatly disappointed with the staff and the overall establishment. We normally have a nice dinner with the attentive wait staff and enjoy our menu choices. Because our concerns were not addressed, we don't feel respected and wonder if we will dine again here.
