I had never heard of this place but saw the good reviews on Yelp and always prefer to shop local so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm giving it 4 stars because the donuts were pretty good. I got the apple fritter and it was a little overcooked, but still really tasty. The coffee was okay, not the best it tasted a little old or maybe burnt itself. The man running the place was really nice and it was all very clean. Yeah, 4 stars. It's worth a try for sure. read more

In the mornings, they have a wide variety of options to choose from. I was able to get my favorite (sprinkle donut and buttermilk cake). They were so fresh and soft even after eating them 1hr later. Also, got 3 free donut holes. read more

I was in the mood for some donuts while visiting Denver for the weekend and found Mr. Donuts on Yelp. The lady that helped me was so friendly and welcomed me in with a smile. I ordered two croissant donuts and two blueberry donuts and I think because it was close to closing time, she threw in a few donut holes and a red velvet donut on the house. I don't know if I was just in a good mood, but had an amazing experience. Even the $2 drip coffee was fresh and not bitter. Some of the best drip coffee I've had in a while. The croissant donut was amazing as well. Buttery, flaky, and not too sweet. The little donut bites they added just for fun were really good as well. Keep up the good work!! read more

Was way better before they got bought and the new owners came. Decent donuts but not like before. Goood because its close and better then store bought but they just dont quit cut as a top of the line donut place anymore. My mother in law used to loveeee it when we brought the donuts to her house. Not only are the donuts here top notch, the service is literally the best! The owners/servers here always have a smile on their faces and make you feel welcome. The coffee tastes perfectly good and the best donut is the blueberry one, like many of the reviewers have also mentioned! The only downside that this is a small shop with only 4 tables, so if you want to sit around and enjoy your donut, depending on the time and day you might not get to do that. read more

Used to live in Erie where there are zero donut places so my ratings are prob skewed more positively than when I lived in Chicago and had access to Do-Rite, that being said this place is pretty damn great! You dont usually find cronuts at these places and they even have Cronut holes. Very clean and good service! read more

They offer cream filled long johns, yeast donuts, cake donuts, breakfast burritos, croissant sandwiches and croissant rolls filled with cheese and sausage. The family shared a little bit of everything from a Bavarian cream long john, buttermilk donut sprinkled with cinnamon, maple cake donut and mini cinnamon roll bites. They open at 5:30 am on weekdays. On your way to work you can grab a dozen donuts or a bunch of donut holes and be the most popular person for the day. This is not a chain store, friendly family owned. They have other breakfast-like food but the donuts are the best choice. The only draw back to this location is the parking. They give you a side of green salsa which I didn't try because it was at the bottom of the bag and I didn't know it was there. Next time I will add it! And, the croissant donut - YUM! It was light, fluffy, sprinkled with sugar to add a little sweetness. The layers of the croissant and airy glazed donut melt in your mouth. The parking situation can be a little tricky when visiting for the first time, but I found that there is also parking on the south side of the building.

I met a man named Tony, working behind the counter. This man could simply not have been nicer. He helped me with my selections and even threw in a few for free. They had this large box full of doughnuts that spelled "happy birthday " that someone failed to pick up. He made me a great offer on the price and I opted to take them off his hands. Tony was just great. This place was clean, well run and has plenty of parking. I highly recommend this place.
