IF I could give it ZERO stars I would! I placed an order for delivery on Yelp for 10 wings. Food arrived as indicated by delivery.com. When I placed the order I specifically asked the wings to be cooked well done, but what did I get? I got undercooked chicken wings. I was about to eat one of the wings and it was pink on the inside. Figured ok maybe one bad one got in - nope each one I pulled apart was pink on the inside. I called to let the restaurant know about the pink wings. I was transferred three times, which meant I had to explain the situation THREE DAMN TIMES!!!! The third person I got was Patra (or something like that - she said she was a manager). I explained that the wings were pink on the inside and that I requested them not only done, but well done. She in turn tells me that they cook them all on the same temperature for the same amount of time. In which I asked, what does that have to do with my order. My wings are not done. I was asked if the wings are bleeding. Are you kidding me?!?!?!?! No they are PINK! That means they are not cooked completely. I was told that if they were not bleeding that the only thing they could do is give me a store credit. NO I want a refund. I was told they don't do refunds and that I had to call diningoutexpress for my money back. WTF kind of BS is this?!?!? They will never in life get money from me. I also plan on calling the Illinois Department of Public Health to file a complaint since all their chicken is supposedly pink on the inside per the conversation. Although it was not their issue, diningoutexpress.com and delivery.com refunded me my money and called to apologize for the service I received from this place. The wife and I stopped in for lunch yesterday and had a great meal. I had the Zinger Burger (actually a chicken sandwich) and the wife had a two piece dark meal. The chicken has a mild spice to it, by my Southern tastes. I will say, it is the best fried chicken I have had in the area. It is far superior to places such as White Fence Farms. The accompanying fries are very good seasoned fries. They were cooked perfectly. If this review were for food alone, it would be five stars. Now, as for the facility itself. They desperately need to move or expand. The current space has no openly accessible restroom (I assume you have to ask to enter the kitchen to access one). Also, there is no effort at all to decorate the dining room. The addition of some photos or art would help. There also needs to be some music or a TV, it was eerily quiet in there. Looks like they are still getting the place going as the wait was a little long, but to be expected for a new place. Gyro meat looked like the kind that is pre-made in a package and warmed up. I would say this place is mediocre at best. The interior doesn't have a set theme and seems kind of dull. The colors in this restaurant are bland and isn't exciting or comfy. I've had their fried chicken, which is flavorful and amazing, the zinger burger, which is a rich chicken sandwich, and their gyro cheeseburger, which has a full burger patty and plenty of gyros in it too. I think their burger patties are made from freshly ground beef, as it tastes a lot better than the usual frozen patties many places have. But overall, the food is delicious. And the fries are seasoned and tasty too. The wait is usually about 15 minutes, so I would definitely order ahead on the phone. The menu is online for viewing. Very good fried chicken--not too greasy, we enjoyed the light cajun flavor to the breading; they also give you a small side of garlic sauce which was also tasty!! If you like buttermilk biscuits, you will love these. They are very light and fluffy and served with just the right amount of butter and honey. Being from the south side of Chicago this is certainly not the gyro you are accustom to. The meat is chopped up in bite size pieces and it's rather small for the price. When we entered we were immediately greeted likely because it was only us and the person behind the counter there. It was during the week around rush hour so I thought that was pretty strange. After looking around I decided not to have anything but my husband decided he would try it. I really hate writing bad reviews. I'm glad is not one. Ordered: the fried shrimp was the bomb. They were huge. I had the fried chicken and fries lunch meal. Woe, the fries have a kick to them. Something I wasn't expecting nor did I like them as I am not a fan of spicy food. The chicken breading was also spicier than my pallet enjoys. The meat however was very good and moist. Be prepared to wait for your meal as everything is cooked to order. Then when she got my food she just put it on the counter and said "that's yours" and stared at me. I got the chicken sandwich and the quality of meat was poor and I ended up getting food poisoning. The menu is confusing because it's not just chicken but offers a lot of choices. Decided to go with the strips, some biscuits, and a side of Mac and cheese. My boyfriend and I ordered Mr.Broast for the first time tonight and we were not disappointed. It was delicious! The chicken was so crispy and tender, the fries were nicely seasoned and they didn't skimp on the cheese! They weren't even soggy when we got home which was a pleasant surprise. And the biscuits were phenomenal! I would go back just for the biscuits! They were so fluffy and the honey on top made them even more wonderful. (I gave my boyfriend the last bite of my biscuits and accidentally dropped it and he screamed in disappointment) I can't wait to try their other food! Called Mr.Broast to order 10 piece chicken meal, first Mr.Amir the cashier refused to take my coupon which said for $19.99, saying that they are not honoring the coupon but when I told him that it would not expire till 8/15/14 only then he accepted the order on phone. The food order process was the worst experience I ever had with any place. My advice to them , do not try to lure customers if your coupon price is the same as the menu price. Next , never say you would not honor the coupon when you have the validity date, the consumer bureau would not like it. The owner replied with an apology and asked me to give the place another try. The food was good quality and cooked just right, but here is where my review dilemma starts, it just wasn't my cup of tea. The zinger sauce was disgusting and the zinger fries were just okay (like Arby's curly fries without the curl). This place is amazing! Zinger burger is the best I've had in a long time, very flavorful juicy and fried golden brown (you can get it spicy/ regular), it beats KFC/ Popeyes any day! Also, coming from Philly, this is probably the best Philly steak sandwich I've had since I've been here (they also offer Philly steak panini which I thought was pretty cool). The Philly steak is not slathered with a bunch of mayo, I think they put just the right amount of everything in to make it nice. Fries are very well seasoned and similar to Arby's seasoned curly fries although these aren't curly, and in my opinion these are perfect (I hate bland fries, makes me feel like I'm eating straight potato.) Note: if you have any problems to spicy foods, let them know ahead of time as they make everything fresh to order. Personally I don't mind the 7 minute wait time when food comes out incredibly fresh. I got my food to go, and by the time I got home, there was still steam coming out of the chicken, just amazing! Funnel cake is oh so sweet! If you ask them to make it a funnel cake sundae the way you see at street fairs, they're more than happy to accommodate you. We got ours with vanilla Ice cream and chocolate syrup! The people that work at this establishment are the most friendliest and welcoming people I've seen (girl behind the counter always greets me with the warmest smile). Facility: It's nice that they have a big screen tv up against the wall for everyone to watch and be entertained. The facility itself is kept very clean but the small space gives the appearance of it to be a lemon. (I know they're in a strip mall so it might be difficult to expand, but I only say this for ease of accessibility to use the restroom and to be able to dine in with larger groups). They do keep a huge bottle of hand sanitizer up at the front when you walk in which is pretty decent of them. You can tell that for a small restaurant, they're making a lot of effort to keep their customers happy. (sometimes you can only do the best with what you have) The nice thing is that they deliver within a 10 mile radius! So if you don't want to dine in, carryout is not your only option depending on where you live, you may be able to get delivery as well. read more
