First, I found a 4 pack of beer that had JUST been released in Burlington VT and then Portland ME (collaboration beer) and immediately grabbed it. Absolute score! I was super impressed with the beer selection, both refrigeratorated and on the shelf, plus N/A options, hop waters, mixers, you name it. Before I even made it to the beer section I was drawn to the prepared food because I was hungry and knew I would have to prepare something when I got home. I got smoked ribs (probably a half rack) for $11.99, Cole slaw and a broccoli bacon salad. They had multiple refrigerators and freezers with everything you can imagine, frozen Slab pizza, health drinks, locals meats, local ice cream, etc. I noticed a huge wall of local coffee so I will be going back to hopefully find espresso beans, which are challenging to come by. I didn't notice inside seats but that would be a good addition. For the ribs, I wrapped them in foil and baked at 350 for 20-30 minutes. I was so happy to find real food, prepped for easy reheating. I will definitely be back with my husband to order sandwiches and pick up more goodies.

We order one large pizza, one child's small pizza, one small lobster roll, one Reuben, and an antipasto salad. Drinks: two beers, two virgin marys, two child's Pepsis, and a ginger ale. Our order came out in one hour and ten minutes. Seventy minutes. As much as I could, I saw the kitchen as the problem. The waitresses hustled; they were on a dead run. But their duties were split; one seated new parties and waited table as well. Another, ours, admitted she had been pulled into the kitchen to assist in plating. As well, the kitchen must deal with takeout orders, which on a Saturday, are many. So the blame must be the management. The only solution should be to stay away- vote with our feet- go elsewhere, until management feels the loss of income and corrects the situation. When the word is out, that Pat's decides on the family restaurant model and not a beer hall, we will return. And not before.

When the second batch came out no better, they said all the fries were coming out like that because of the potatoes they were using. No, they came out like that because the oil in the fryerlator was old. Our waitress was very apologetic, but offered no compensation of any kind. Not a different side, not comping or giving me a discount. Color me wrong if you want, but when I order food at a restaurant I expect better. Needless to say I won't be going back anytime soon.
