Definitely check this place out if you are in Lewiston, they have housemade syrups for their coffee drinks, housemade bagels, and cream cheese. I would come back and try more things here. The service was fast and friendly. Lots of seating inside and it's a cool vibe inside. Lots of open space and a brick wall in the back. Big windows too. 4 instead of 5 stars because I don't like my bagels too chewy but I'm no bagel expert and I enjoyed it enough to want to come back.

I hadn't encountered an everything bagel with caraway seeds before ordering a ham egg and cheese on a quiet Friday morning but I now think that it would be improper to refer to a bagel as "everything" without them. I was impressed by the crunch of my bagel, which held up despite a drippy egg conundrum, and is likely a result of the wood-fired brick oven used in the baking process. I spent a pleasant breakfast hour reading and enjoying the ambiance (including music) here.

Had a quick little visit to Forage Market after leaving a dentist appointment near by. This is such a cute little shop. I was craving the cinnamon dolce latte they had for their drink special but due to being pregnant, I try to limit my caffeine intake. The kind woman working was able to make a variation of the drink with half decaf and half regular coffee for me. It was delicious-- not overly sweet at all with the perfect amount of the cinnamon dolce syrup. I wish the market had a bit more options for their lunch menu (only saw a BLT) but I believe it is just limited menu due to Covid currently. (I assume it's the same reason behind there being no indoor seating as well.) Overall, my first experience to Forage was great. Super friendly and accommodating staff in addition to a warm and tasty beverage. A great spot in downtown lewiston.

First visit here and I was very impressed. The restaurant is well set up for sidewalk sales with lots of COVID precautions in place. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. I ordered a lox bagel with a sesame bagel and it was fantastic. The bagel was chewy and dense with tons of sesame seeds... just the way I like it. I hate sesame bagels with a skimpy amount of seeds. The lox was from Browne Trading and it was decadent. Add in onions, tomatoes and greens and it was heavenly. Definitely a bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Bought the last seven plain bagels from Forage this morning. Was warned they were "a little blistered," but was surprised when we got home and found them inedible, burnt and basically destroyed. I worked as a bagel baker in my youth, and I never would have given these to a customer. I would have been ashamed.

What an incredible little coffee shop right in the middle of Lewiston/ Auburn. They have an array of fresh baked breads and bagels, along with bagel sandwiches, coffee and soup. The place is clean, spacious and friendly and the bagels are off the hook!

I grew up in Lewiston (1970s-80s) and remember when no sandwich shop even close to the likes of Forage existed on Lisbon Street, so I was eager to try it. The atmosphere in Forage is spacious and very relaxed. It's a bit funky, with local art on the walls and all the vintage ('40s and '50s) tables and chairs different from each other. Big windows face two beautiful mosaics across the street, created (2019) in homage to artist Marsden Hartley. The late-19th-century tin ceiling has been preserved. The restroom is attractive and well-maintained. I ordered the smoked whitefish salad sandwich on 7-grain bread. It included very fresh greens, pickled onion, and tomato. A delicious combination! The amount of whitefish was scant but still flavorful enough to make it a real treat. I would order it again. I believe it cost $8 or $8.50 (no sides). My mom ordered a build-your-own bagel (starts at $2.95) with a once-over-easy egg ($1.50), fakin' bacon ($2.75), avocado ($2.00), and one slice of tomato ($1.00). I'll do the math for you and tell you that the total for this BYO bagel was $10.20 (!!). The bagel itself was tasty but incredibly chewy -- distractingly so (As the ingredients spilled out the bagel's sides and she wrestled to take a successful bite, Mom said, "This would *not* be a good first-date sandwich..."). The real turn-off, however (and the reason I have given Forage a two-star review instead of four stars), was that the fakin' bacon and the egg were served very burned -- the fakin' bacon was burnt to a solid-black crisp (I had a sample bite and then picked all the burned bits off for my mom). It is amazing to me that whoever made the sandwich served it this way; if you'd asked them, I am *sure* they would not have eaten it themselves. Was it because it was 2:30 pm and they close at 3:00 pm? No excuses. It's carelessness, for sure. And for $10.20? Wow. Bad news. It makes me not want to go back. Mom's not going back either, and she's the local.

The best wood fired bagels this side of Montreal. The texture is slight crispy in the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside. Can't wait to try the other nevi items. Forage is a hidden gem ! Why didn't we dine here before? Now we are in the know :)

We went with a non-traditional theme which included cupcakes a wedding topper cake for the dessert. We chose Grant's Bakery to do the topper cake and worked with Gary, one of their cake makers. My wife LOVED it and it. Unfortunately my wife and I were not able to have the cake for our wedding reception as we had to cancel due to a major incident impacting several of our Maine towns, but Gary was patient and willing to still make the cake despite their store being shut down for 2-3 days due to the incident. We pushed the due date for the cake to be ready, out a few days and when my wife picked it up, she LOVED it and complimented him several times on how he hit the theme with colors and the simplistic design. We were not looking for a large elaborate cake and despite the simple design, it exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Grant's Bakery for your wedding cake needs!

My first opportunity was my SO had actually ordered a green tea cake -- it was so good I couldn't stop shoveling the buttercream into my mouth. This year I opted for a Boston cream pic cupcake selection for the Boston cream pie lover in my life. The inside was a yellow cake base with the standard Boston cream in the middle and a hardened chocolate shell over cream on top. I made a special request for some lettering and they came packaged in a box that allowed for complete stability of the cakes. I accidentally left them out in a cold area prior to serving but they turned out totally fine! I would have normally done a regular Boston cream pie but circumstances made cupcakes an easier option. Will be trying the full cake next time. Definitely recommend if you're in the area -- ordering, customizing, payment, and pick up were all insanely easy.

THESE ARE THE BEST CINNAMON ROLLS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE (So please ignore anything I've said stating otherwise that was written before this review was.) I had been warned that these were everything and more, and that still did not prepare me for how epic they were. They're the perfect balance of both dense and yet they melt-in-your-mouth; the "icing" (whatever notion you have of icing, throw it away because that's not what this is but a word hasn't been invented yet for whatever is going on with these buns) is sticky and creamy and has a little hint of citrus. And I am not sure I can never eat another cinnamon roll again, because these have spoiled me forever (I was swooning so much the first time we had them that my partner let me finish his as well!). Also: their frittata? I haven't had anything that good since living in Spain. Big, filling wedges of layered egg, potato, onion, and veggies. I'm hoping this will always be available vegetarian! Also; I ate it cold. And with my hands like it was a slice of pizza. That's the kind of monster I am, but it worked out deliciously!
