So friendly and welcoming, like they had been looking forward to us arriving. We were brought to our table in the one of the side rooms furthest from the kitchen, main room. There were a few other tables in the same room, but it didn't feel crowded. Great menu, not a large selection, however, there is definitely something for everyone. I selected the chicken and dumplings. It wasn't like the traditional chicken and dumplings. The dumplings were petite and so delicious! The sour dough bread made fresh daily....get it if you can. You may want to call ahead and preorder for your dinner. They run out fast. Our server was very engaging, patiently explained the dishes and offerings. Checked on us, kept our drinks full, she made us smile and laugh. She was fun! Overall - delicious food and drink. A cozy setting for a lovely dinner. Also - private lot with plenty of parking! They have a special board, so make sure to check that out before placing your order. They also have lunch specials on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The dining area is very accessible. And there are no stairs upon entry. I'm not sure about the accessibility of the bathrooms, though. Besides booths and tables, there is a counter with about eight stools.

The server offered to bring out fresh home fries. then the front of the house manager brought our bill and discounted the tab greatly. He was very apologetic. We definitely would go back based on this customer service. Worth mentioning, there is a side entrance that is handicap accessible (the main entrance on Centre Street has steps leading up to it). But if one wanted to go to the bakery counter from that entrance, there are a few steps to get to that level.

They're not cheap... $13.49 for their jumbo pancake + $2.99 if you add blueberries, and who wouldn't? You also get a side of your choice of breakfast meat. On this trip I wasn't alone, so my friend & I split 1 pancake & the 3 pieces of crispy bacon that came with. The cook was kind enough to actually split the batter to make us each our own cake. Yes, the photo below is actually 1/2 of what you normally get. We still couldn't finish it! Our server, Sam, was terrific. What a wonderful personality! He was so much fun. The coffee is decent & there's plenty of parking in their lot. Great stop if you're traversing Route 1 in Maine.

There were plenty of clean tables for guests who wanted to sit. I didn't appreciate having to wait for her while she was cleaning a table, especially since I've just made a large purchase.
