    Cinnamon Sugar French Toast

Oh what a place!! I love this little spot (emphasis on LITTLE). This is not a traditional diner - it's much more like an upgraded coffee shop. You walk in to this gorgeous space, step right up to the counter, and order all the goodies you could possibly want. The drink menu is vast - so many fun coffee beverages for the adventurous, and non-coffee options for everyone else. But if you want to keep it simple, their serve-yourself drip coffee is delightful, and there's plenty of flavors to keep it interesting (peppermint white mocha drip coffee, what??) Ok so you get your bevvie and you work very hard to find a cozy little nook to sit down - maybe someone is waiting for a to go order and gives up their seat for you? It's Gardiner, people are kind! You sit and wait and take in the surroundings - it's almost like you're in a greenhouse, with potted plants everywhere you look and dried flowers hanging from the ceiling. Then your little buzzer goes off and you go get your own food directly from the kitchen - no server/expo/restaurant experience required! Score your own hot sauce, silverware, and other condiments along the way. And dig in! The food is amazing! It's all stuff you've seen on a brunch menu before - French toast, eggs Benedicts, sandwiches - but it's got that extra flair. French toast with lemon curd and raspberries. Corned beef Reuben, but baked in Filo pastry instead of bread. A breakfast scramble with a spicy Korean twist. It's all fun and different and GOOD. You'll be too full, but stop at the counter on the way out the door and snag a fresh croissant or pastry for later. You'll thank me. I would love for this place to be full-service... But I think that might change the whole vibe. There's something cozy about the do-it-yourself aspect. And everything else about Bintliff's is delightful. We can't wait to return.

This place is too cute and the food was equally amazing . The whole place gives cozy greenhouse /barn/exposed brick vibe which I loved plus outdoor seating with umbrellas for nicer weather. Everything on the menu sounded amazing and my food tasted as good as it looked I could barely wait to sit down and take a bite. Told friends about this find and can't wait to come back to try the French toast and basically everything else. If you like coffee the options they look delicious. If not, like me, the matcha was sweet but very good I'd try the peach next visit . 10/10!

Bintliff's is a great little spot in downtown Gardiner! I've been several times and there are some things I believe they do particularly well and a few areas where I have consistently been unimpressed. The people here are always very nice, helpful, and happy to be making food and drinks for their customers. The place is so cute and well-decorated! The space gets a little tight on weekends, but on weekdays it's a great spot to work for a little while or catch up with friends. For food, I particularly recommend the different selections of eggs benedicts! I have tried several (the florentine, the crab cake, etc.) and all are phenomenal. I also appreciate that you can get the eggs poached to your liking- I often get them poached medium because I unfortunately am not a fan of runny eggs. The Bintliff's crew always cooks the eggs perfectly and I'm happy every time! Other food I've tried has mostly been good, a special shoutout to their home fries which are a trio of potatoes including sweet potatoes. One dish I was unimpressed with however is the French toast, despite a beautiful presentation. The bread is cut thick and I found that the French toast did not have much egg mixture seep into the bread, so I wouldn't even really classify it as French toast. The "French toast" also tasted burnt on the edges. So when I've been back, I've just steered clear of the French toast and have enjoyed the other meals I've had. Lastly, I don't drink coffee so I cant vouch for that, but the non-coffee drinks here are terrible. It has to be the biggest disappointment of this place and the main reason I cannot give this otherwise lovely place 5 stars. While their teas and chais are generally ok though not great, the matcha here is revolting. I have given it a few tries and have always ordered it with no added sweetener. Every time it comes out tasting like sugar milk with a hint of matcha. I'm a huge fan of matcha, so this is very sad for me. It's clearly not in the preparation and is just about the brand or product they have chosen to make their matcha with- it comes mixed with lots of sugar and they just prepare it as it directs on the label. I really enjoy much of the food here and the atmosphere, but until they switch their brand of matcha, I can't see myself being a regular here. On occasion though, it's a great spot to pop in for brunch and I'll stick to water with my meal!

Had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Bintliff's today, with family from Millinocket and friends from Santa Fe. Service was quick and efficient. I love that in the summer, we can sit outside l. It doubles or maybe even triples their seating options. In the winter, seating is LIMITED. Today we had a variety of beautiful plates of food, plus shared two generously sized pastries. We all had drinks, coffees, energy drinks, iced teas. Joyful summer memories.

Wow, what a great local find while visiting Maine. This was highly recourse place to go to for a good Sunday breakfast. I went for the highly recommended corned beef hash and let me say it was one of the best I've had. The corned beef was plentiful and large chunks with potatoes and poached eggs The hot sauce was one of the best I've ever had! One of the big things here is the variety of coffees that are available. We had a party of 4 and everyone just loved there meals. We also bought some cannolis to go. That's were just ok and not anywhere close to the best I've had. The line was long to order at the counter and seating was limited. But to get your food was very efficient.

The Bintliff's Corner Brew facility itself in Gardiner was beautifully designed and well maintained. It had an industrial mill feel with the farm chic drying flowers from the rafters appeal and smell. The dinning area was collectic and well-lit, with a warm and inviting feel to it. The service from the counter into the kitchen was friendly and inviting. The time to greet and ensure needs were met was amazing The food alone was well worth the trip and hit the spot! The Firefighters omelette with home fries and toast was delicious and an amazing meal. The crème brûlée French toast was Divine and a dish that should not be passed up!!! The caramel crème latte was sweet and creamy and Rob's Redeye was a jolting boost to the moon! !!!10/10!!! Make the time to get here and enjoys exceptional quality in flavors and freshness!!

This is a beautiful, well run cafe. The coffee is good, the food is better. Its a sort of high price tag but every cent is worth it. Its beautiful inside. The workers were kind and informative. The only think I think could be stressful is if you try to go and its a busy day, because the dining area is kind of miniscule.

This is a quirky restaurant in a small shop row. You take a menu, find a seat (they have indoor or outdoor) then order and pick up your food at the counter. I ordered the Librarians omelet, which has large pieces of bacon, mushrooms, spinach, onions, and Cabot cheddar cheese. It comes with a potato and sweet potato mix,as well as a thick slice of homemade bread. Mom had the AC&T sandwich which is Apple, cheddar cheese, and turkey piled on thick homemade bread. They definitely don't want you to go hungry. Neither of us could finish them. For drinks, I had their Maine Maple coffee and Mom had a hot spiced chai, which they patterned into a yin-yang. Deserves is "Best of" status.

An expensive 12oz. Latte ($5) with almond milk (+$1.50).

While I have enjoyed a finely baked confection or two and a sip of a specialty java brew from a friend or family member, I have never had the patience to deal with the longer-than-average queue that I've encountered on my first couple of attempts at patronage. That said, I had some time today between meetings downtown and after all the hype (and no line out the door/around the block) decided today was the day. Despite their beautiful display case packed with sinfully tantalizing sweets and baked goods, a simple espresso drink is a I desired. I had just enough time to peruse the menu and decide what I wanted, a latte (with almond milk if available due to my pesky lactose intolerance). I did not have to wait longer and was greeted by a friendly staff member who took my order happily and quickly. Coming in I knew this place wasn't known for being easy on the wallet, but when the menu quoted $5 for the drink I thought, "not too bad for "gourmet"." I requested almond milk as a sub to which she cheerily replied was no problem, but as I watched the cashier ring me up...I watched the price go up too. Not just sales tax either, an unexpected and unexplained $1.50 popped up and brought my total, with tax, to, "$7?!" Wait, was I just penalized for my bad genes? I buy almond milk all the time, it is not much more than moo juice, if any, why would they upcharge me for it?? The coffee was fine, tasted nice, was ready quickly, but an extra charge for non-dairy milk put a sour taste in my mouth. You're already charging a premium, do your really need to scrape me for that extra $1.50? All I want to know is why? Seems pretty petty to me. Oh well, as I waltzed out of their very well decorated, rustic, cramped, establishment I knew I'd probably stick to making my (equally or more delicious) espresso drinks at home, with almond milk, for around $1/ cup.

This place was recommended by my dentist, and I've never been so glad I needed a filling in my life. This has quickly become one of our favorite breakfast spots in the area. The food is amazing, the drinks are perfect, and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming and inviting. Don't even get me started on the pastries. It's a struggle to not buy out the entire case every weekend. Be prepared to wait in line, but I absolutely promise you will be so glad you did. It moves quick, and it's worth the wait. I highly recommend the Crab Cake Benedict. The veggie Benedict is incredible too, and it's served on a fresh croissant which elevates it to new levels. The French toast is thick and very satisfying. The Korean garlic chili scramble was so good that I forgot to take a picture. In general, every single thing I've eaten here was satisfying and enjoyable. It's hard to choose a favorite.

Could it be that I've found my favorite local place, and it's only January? I've been trying to get here for months! Finally happened today. Well worth the wait - and the drive from Lewiston. Oh my gosh. Cozy yet with a feeling of elegance. My experience started when I walked in the door. I adore the vibe! I could sit here contentedly sipping coffee for hours. Speaking of coffee, there are numerous options - from carafes of pre-made to specialty lattes, etc. The menu hosts numerous options from omelettes and homemade cornbeef hash to Benedicts, burgers and more. The bakery case is filled with cannoli and other delicious treats. We opted for crab cake Benedict and open faced turkey burger today. So delicious!!! Both came with a tri (red, white and sweet potatoes) blend hashbrown. I can't wait to bring my sisters here!!! I love this place so very much.

Corn Beef Hash, Creme Brulle French Toast and Lattes

Wow! Where do I begin? My sister wanted to treat me for my birthday to brunch and she needed gluten free, Bintliff's came up. Once we found a parking place (not a mean feat!) we found a line that went all the way through the restaurant! You place an order at the counter, are given a buzzer for food, wait for coffee, go find a seat, and then go fetch your food when buzzed. Even though there was quite a line it all went quite quickly. I would suggest that they post menus further back in the line and not only on the counter. The food was superb!!! The Creme Brulle French Toast melted in my mouth. To have bread 2" thick be that light is an art! Very delicious. My sister loved the Corned Beef Hash with it's chunks of white and sweet potatoes. The Lattes were so creamy and pretty! Excellent! I will go back!

Veggies omelet, toast and tri color potatoes. Lemonade, Cuban coffee, French toast and Creme Brûlée.

The food was excellent and huge portions. You order, find your own seat, and clean off dishes yourself. Appears to be a coffee shop but the menu offers well seasoned and delicious brunch and sandwiches. The lemonade was not icky sweet. Cuban coffee was Devine. The dried bouquets hanging from the ceiling were fun!

The free street parking right outside the restaurant was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Just as surprising was the overpriced and just-okay food. I gotta say, both the inside and outside vibe of the place are a bit misaligned with the menu and food quality, and also the prices. We arrived at around noon and the menu unfortunately didn't look any breakfast items as they stopped those at 11am. Instead, our options were burgers, sandwiches, and dinner plates. The menu was quite extensive and creative -- it wasn't your typical diner menu (Asian noodles?!) -- but also, prices were steep for a place like this. A cheeseburger was $16+, with an extra $1 charge for tomato and onion. The sandwiches were more expensive and just included chips -- fries were an up-charge. Honestly, just the prices alone were a turn off. My burger -- I ordered the one with brie and jam on it -- was so underwhelming. Not even an exciting cheese like brie could save it. What a shame because it really did seem like such a cool spot!
