Superb, quiet spot for coffee. Scones, buttermilk biscuits that stimulate before unnoticed taste buds. Don't miss it!

Very cute off the beaten path cafe that is well worth the slight detour. Very good coffee and pastries. I recommend the scones.

So I've been on the hunt around Maine for the best Whoopie pie. This one has hit my top 3. (After…read moreAllyKats and the Amish of Whitefield). Spears Farm offered two flavors today? The traditional chocolate, and then a pumpkin with cream cheese. I'm a Whoopie pie traditionalist. I don't care for the fancy flavors, I want the real true Maine Whoopie flavors. This Whoopie was delicious! It had that nice dense semi sweet cake, that's kind of sticky. I hate the super dry fluffy Whoopie. NO THANK You. This was perfect. The cream inside was amazing.its too bad they don't list the ingredients of their "frosting" on the package. Because I am trying to pin point what the specific ingredient is in my favorite Whoopie pies, that set them apart from others. Spears frosting is similar to the frosting they use at applewald farm in Litchfield. It has a little bit of a zip to it. Salt? Cream of tartar? A certain kind of vanilla? I don't know. But I like this! Yum! Ok so aside from Whoopie pies, they offer local meats and cheeses, seasonal produce, which right now it was just greens, and some tiny tomatoes, Cukes, early summer squash. But there's more coming! They offer honey, maple syrup, jams and jellies. It's very nice inside their farm stand, everything is clean and tidy and organized in a "ohh I need that!" Shopper inspiration kind of way. I always make a point to stop here when traveling through Waldoboro, which sadly, is only about twice a year.

This spot is the quintessential farmer's market spot- we come here first and Hannaford second,…read moremeat- eggs- yogurt- fruit and veggies and no they don't sell farm equipment, so don't ask.

I don't have the exact hours but you might want to check because I've been there when they're closed. I do know they open at seven and on the weekend, you wanna get there early because they do sell out of things. All their pastries are killer. Today bought a blueberry muffin, a maple cinnamon roll and the special of the day, which I don't know the name of, but it was a biscuit with clotted cream and homemade raspberry jam made out of the owners garden. It was scrumptious. It is also a little store and you can buy all kinds of cute things in there, there is an area to eat both inside and outside, but I am only talking of three or four tables in each location. They also make coffee drinks and they also have croissants with eggs and bacon. Have not had one of those in years so I can't really comment on that. Anyway, well worth a little side trip to this darling bakery.

What a fun stop. I looked up local coffee shops and this was close and had great reviews. I'm so…read moreglad we popped in. I got a latte and a gift for my granddaughter--so many items for babies and children's gifts. I asked how long they've been there and was told 6 years. I said wow, you made it through COVID, that says a lot. He replied that's when they opened, right before the world closed for business. He said the shop items got them through the worst of it. Every place has a story. It's nice when you meet someone willing to chat for a while. They have the best looking baked goods too!! The outdoor eating steals inviting--they've even prepared for your furry friends with water bowls and a doggie bed.
