Everything was perfect, the lamination on the croissants was beautiful, the variety and uniqueness of the foods was awesome, and the service was just awesome. The owner talked to us for a bit too (Billy?), I had so many questions. I felt bad I was taking him away from his staff, but just what an inviting place. There were a few tables, very intimate setting, very clean bathroom, plenty of parking out front and in back. Just all in all - YOU MUST STOP HERE. The bread looks phenomenal! Huge loaves! I returned Sunday for a full loaf of sourdough and some pastries. The sourdough is big and beautiful, not too crusty, nicely hydrated loaf. The croissants were very tasty. But if I'm nitpicking, I think the ham and cheese could be improved if the ham inside steams rather than crisping - it gets rubbery and not that enjoyable to chew through. If you have come across an Aroma Joe's before you know what to expect. A large portion of them are drive thru/walk up only locations. Fitting for the season we each got a version of their seasonal Peppermint Bark. I got a latte version and my wife got the ice coffee. It's a really great seasonal drink worth trying! Unfortunately, the positive reviews and photos on Yelp were only of breakfast, not lunch. The breakfasts that were still being ordered at noon did look good. And staff was friendly and attentive. We considered sending the burnt food back but didn't want to wait another 40 minutes to have it replaced. And the "no whining" sign was not encouraging. So we risked a bad experience and paid a terrible price by eating slivers of a meal that should never have been allowed to leave the restaurant kitchen. Two stars is very generous on our part.

I had to get a table pancake (shared) based on the yelp photos and descriptions people had shared. It was fluffy and delicious. Was well cooked, not overcooked or undercooked. The breakfast plates are great. Yummy potatoes, next time, I am going to try the regular homefries. The bread....YUM...it's housemade!!! Great portions, great price and great service! First, I found a 4 pack of beer that had JUST been released in Burlington VT and then Portland ME (collaboration beer) and immediately grabbed it. Absolute score! I was super impressed with the beer selection, both refrigeratorated and on the shelf, plus N/A options, hop waters, mixers, you name it. Before I even made it to the beer section I was drawn to the prepared food because I was hungry and knew I would have to prepare something when I got home. I got smoked ribs (probably a half rack) for $11.99, Cole slaw and a broccoli bacon salad. They had multiple refrigerators and freezers with everything you can imagine, frozen Slab pizza, health drinks, locals meats, local ice cream, etc. I noticed a huge wall of local coffee so I will be going back to hopefully find espresso beans, which are challenging to come by. I didn't notice inside seats but that would be a good addition. For the ribs, I wrapped them in foil and baked at 350 for 20-30 minutes. I was so happy to find real food, prepped for easy reheating. I will definitely be back with my husband to order sandwiches and pick up more goodies.

I'll be honest, their breakfast sandwiches are basic. If you can jazz them up with different cheese, veggies, etc., I wasn't aware and it's not immediately obvious.
