Fast service. Smoothie was good. Prices were a little high. Chocolate donut was basic.

Horrible customer service. Barristas were chatting in the back. Kept me waiting to order for five minutes with no acknowledgment and then were terse and unfriendly when they finally came out. They treated me like I was interrupting them! Won't be back. read more

Experience was excellent! Food and drinks were great. Although perpetually slammed (for good reason), the staff is efficient and gets complicated orders right. The only annoying thing was an idiot in sunglasses (yes, indoors with sunglasses on) who was vlogging everyone and everything while we were there. read more

LOVED THIS PLACE! It's a new place, and it's beautiful! We were looking for a place to live in town and found this gem. Apparently, they had recently moved to this new building that they redid, and it's lovely. First off, my mocha latte was amazing. The bathroom was super clean. The pastries are made by another local bakery and looked amazing. There was gluten free options. And they had alternative milks (all but soy). The employees were so sweet. I had a bunch of questions about the area and the schools. The woman that helped me was lovely and kindly answered all my questions. There was plenty of street parking and plenty of seating. You can see the kitchen through a window, which I like. And I loved that you can see the old bank parts, there is a huge bank door that you can go through and see the old lock boxes. We showed up at 1:35 (they close at 2). Staff were blatantly closing up, cleaning and we were informed the kitchen closed at 1:30 (there was still a line of customers out the door). The food was over-priced-- $5.50 for a grocery store bagel, served unsliced with a package of cream cheese and a knife on the side (compare with a Portland Forage bagel served ready to go with CC for $4.75)-- and not good. I walked in the other day, and noticed this cafe does not show prices. I asked why not, and they responded that there are so many add-ons, it would be impractical. I didn't see any any logic in this, and didn't look forward to waiting in line, asking the price of something, deciding it's an unfair price, and then leaving. This growing practice doesn't bother a lot of people, but it does bother me. If you are like me, best to avoid this spot. I decided not to wait in line, so cannot comment on the coffee. Really cute, and they've done a great job adjusting to current social distancing rules. There is an outdoor window and seating. Since i was a tourist i wanted the whole experience, so i ordered a Lavender iced latte and the Mainer - a bagel with maple cream cheese and bacon. The Mainer was a delicious combo of savory and sweet and carby. I meant to eat half but slowly finished it during my drive. The lavender latte was tasty but a little too sweet for my taste. But, i did know it was sweetened with syrup and had it anyway. The only downside of the visit was a Very long wait, but at least i got to wait in a cute outside seating area. Coffee was good. Muffins were not okay. I ordered chocolate muffin, but got blueberry muffin. Well, everyone makes mistakes. That's part is okay. Not okay was: when I approached the counter, the barista was rudely said "what is your problem?" and finally changed with chocolate when I described I got a wrong one. No apology. I can't describe well here, but the attitude was rude. I won't come back. read more

You wouldn't necessarily anticipate finding more than the average Dunkin' Donuts here, but instead you find a shop that's supporting all things local! -People are nice. -Quiet enough to get some work done without any disturbances. -Great coffee menu. Only cons I would mention... a lack of power outlets! Definitely worth a stop if you're passing through! read more

First off, the location of Fair Grounds Coffee is perfect as I am an avid hiker. We pass by Fair Grounds Coffee every time I go hiking in the White Mountains. The employees are very patient and know a lot about all their products (seems like they have a plethora of tea flavors). On my first visit, I was given free Fair Grounds Coffee stickers for my Nalgene bottle. I've ordered a Vanilla Latte (hot) each time. The flavor was rich, and my girlfriend really enjoys their green tea selection. Their baked goods, however, is what separates the 5 stars from the 4. I cannot recommend enough the raspberry squares. I'm going hiking this weekend and you can bet I'll be stocking up on their baked goods! As Harry Potter says, "We'll take the lot!" read more

Latte was tasty, but not very hot. Burrito was expensive, small, and microwaved. Straight from a frozen package, I'm guessing. Biscuit thing was dry, definitely needed butter and maybe to be warmed up too. Upstairs the heatpumps were blowing cold air, so downstairs was the only choice to be warm enough. That's OK, though, since there aren't any tables upstairs to put down your drink and food. I'm sure they'll work it out, but it's got some growing pains to get through. read more

Stopped here in the morning and they had a great selection of food from pastries to sandwiches. I got two coffees and the gals were very nice and welcoming. One of the drinks got mixed up which was no big deal but they were more than apologetic and very quick in fixing it. Great coffees and would go back if I were in the area again. read more
