Lox and cream cheese sandwich served with dry potatoes - A bagel sandwich with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and capers, cut in half and served with fried potato cubes on a white plate.

Here in a Saturday morning for breakfast. Parking lot and road side parking was packed. Luckily we found a spot not too far from the doorway. Entered through the cafe door and got in line with the others waiting for a table. 10:30a and the place is humming. After a 20 minute wait our booth table was ready. In the mood for their Lox and cream cheese sandwich. Hubby had the plate with it all, choosing a pancake instead of French Toast. Cup of coffee while we waited. In a cast post surgery and conscious about where I place it, I found resting in my other foot better then in the floor where I could see trash under the table. Being a busy morning understandable however the encrusted splatters on the wall, napkin holder, and condiments were another thing. See attached pictures. Food was great, service wonderful including the nice young lady busing the tables and greeting folks while the waitress diligently takes care of her guests. Recommend doing once over with a cleaning rag to the items on the table when cleaning the table for the next people.

I was happily surprised with Bernie's Foreside. It's half bagel shop and half diner--I had been to the bagel side a couple of times recently, since they started serving bagels from Union Bagel. It's somewhat of a cottage decor on the diner side, the original art work is a nice touch. There were quite a few parties waiting to be seated when I arrived, just after 9:30, but my friend had already been seated so I'm not sure what the wait time was like. Our waitress took our order right away. Service was attentive, our food was served fairly quickly, and she came by and refilled my friend's bottomless cup of coffee several times. The menu was standard diner fare: pancakes, eggs, breakfast sandwiches, etc. The Yogurt Delight I ordered came with fresh fruit that included strawberries, sliced oranges, bananas, and blueberries and vanilla Chobani yogurt, which is gelatin free. It also came with a generous portion of granola and toast. It really exceeded what I expected for a diner. There is plenty of parking as they are located on Route 1, in the front of the big box store. Noteworthy, they close at noon on Saturday. Overall, a positive experience and I would recommend Bernie's if you're looking for a solid, no nonsense breakfast at a place with great service and plenty of parking.

Vegetable hashbrowns eggs and a bagel - A breakfast plate features fried eggs, crispy hash browns with mushrooms and onions, and a bagel with a spread, served on a white plate.

I had brunch here on a saturday. Such nice waitresses and the food was very good. The vegetable homefries with cheese are amazing. Lots of choices. Get there early as the bagels will sell out!

Such a great find. 1st time for a business meeting. Everyone is so nice. Staff so friendly and the menu is great. Seems like a local place but plenty of seating if you don't sit at the counter. Worth the visit. Easy to get to and plenty of parking

Stopped here for breakfast the other day and it was quite busy. We had to wait about 15 mins for a seat. The service was friendly. Classic diner food but the prices were a little high in my opinion. They do make their bagels from scratch. I got a breakfast sandwhich on their everything bagel and it was okay but I was expecting more for homemade. They have a connecting side that you can order takeout if you don't want to wait. Overall decent breakfast place, expect a wait if you come on a Saturday or Sunday.

Very busy little spot!! I went on the recommendation of my parents! My mother said it was a must try! She said the hollandaise is so good you want to literally lick your plate clean! She was very accurate with this information! When we arrived we were seated very promptly, within 10 min they had a line of patron waiting to be seated. The waitstaff was friendly. The food was cooked beautifully and served promptly. Look forward to our return!

Highly rated brunch for a good reason. Cute interior, a small outdoor patio if you want outdoor seating, and a collection of diner-like foods and pastries to delight you on a Sunday morning. Came to fuel up before a long day of hiking and my chocolate chip pancake, home fries, and eggs were just how I liked em'. Their egg scramble and omelets looked good as well, with good, quick service and comfortable booths for sitting. Poached egg was just cooked well but a little watery.

My wife and I decided to venture here to check this location out for the first time. Firstly the parking situation is more ideal here, granted the space is shared with more businesses but parking was a much easier process overall. Once inside I think the direction they went with art/design is superior to the original location and my wife strongly agrees with that more than me. She absolutely loved the flower wall art and the overall vibes here. Enough so that she would prefer to visit this location. The food and drink menu is basically the same so if you have visited the Scarborough location you can know exactly what to expect. Including very similar specials for the month in both food and drinks. We visited to just hit the tail end of the February/Valentines specials for drinks. I got their Red Velvet Cold Brew while my wife got the Cupid Latte (raspberry cheesecake latte with raspberry cold foam). Both were top notch and a great way to end their monthly specials. I do appreciate the fact they offer such a selection of specials to keep you coming back for something new. Food wise my wife got her go-to for Luna Cafe which is the Modern Egg Breakfast Sandwich while I got the Maple Sausage. It had just the right amount of maple on it. We have yet to branch out from their breakfast sandwiches but have always enjoyed them. The only negative I can add for our visit was it did first seem like we would not be ordering as it took a little time before a member of staff came to the counter for us to order. Overall it is a minimal complaint and the staff member was friendly and food/drinks were finished quickly. Glad to have checked it out and will likely return to this one over the original now.

The high ceilings must amplify the seemingly constant sound of ice grinding. I met friends for breakfast, we were trying to catch up but it was difficult--it's louder than you might imagine and really did sound like a construction zone. It's counter service and we walked right up to order with no waiting a little after nine on a Saturday. There was a short line about an hour later. I had the Cocoa Craze Smoothie Bowl: dates, cocoa, bananas, honey, almond milk, topped with coconut and granola. It was decent--quite large--like 3-4 portions. Also noteworthy, there was a lot of single use plastic--the bowl and even the dine-in utensils, which seems inconsistent with a place that seems to be marketing itself as a cafe that serves relatively healthy food. If I go back it would be for takeout--there were other menu items I'd like to try but the deafening noise was too much and put a damper on the experience.

It's a large inviting space with plenty of tables to enjoy your drinks/food here. With the name they have artwork on the wall related to Paris. They have many options for drinks including seasonal Valentine's Day specials. Also food wise they have a lot of options on display for you. Including baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and more. Staff were friendly and helpful and took no time at all to receive both our food and drinks. Drink wise my wife got their seasonal "In The Name of Love" that was a white mocha with raspberry syrup. I got their seasonal "Dubai Chocolate" w/ chocolate and pistachio syrups. Both were quite good, with my wife's being slightly better and more flavor. Food wise we each chose their sausage egg and cheese sandwich and my wife got a blueberry cream cheese. The sandwiches were unique in the sense they were made with white bread that had cheese melted onto it. The best bite was the blueberry cream cheese and was like a better version of a toaster strudel. Sandwiches and drinks were good but didn't quite blow us away hence the 4 stars. Certainly a good enough experience I would return to this location and/or visit any of the others. With so many great breakfast/coffee spots in the greater Portland area this is one worth considering at least.

Seating can be tight when it's full and there are coats etc. It wasn't uncomfortable, however, if you like a lot of personal space, you may want to get take out, or get there early. The place was clean and super cute inside. Loved plates and the condiment baskets! The menu had something to curb my sweet and savory cravings. We started with a delicious hot chocolate - in a very interesting glass mug. The grilled blueberry muffin was delicious - one thing that stood out is it was sliced into three pieces! I loved it that way and now I judge other restaurants when they don't do this. LOL The croissant was nice - not sure if it was made locally, but it was fresh and tasty. My breakfast plate was YUM!! The homemade corned beef hash amazing! The eggs perfect and the potatoes - tender and wonderful savory flavor. I saved a little to bring home to my husband to try. My friend's eggs benedict looked amazing. She said she loved it. The parking lot is primarily for them - which I didn't realize because of the way it's positioned in front of the tattoo shop.
