This is the second location of Cafe Luna, with the first being in Scarborough. Oddly enough it's about equal distance from my house to both so could go to either one and the same time. My wife and I decided to venture here to check this location out for the first time. Firstly the parking situation is more ideal here, granted the space is shared with more businesses but parking was a much easier process overall. Once inside I think the direction they went with art/design is superior to the original location and my wife strongly agrees with that more than me. She absolutely loved the flower wall art and the overall vibes here. Enough so that she would prefer to visit this location. The food and drink menu is basically the same so if you have visited the Scarborough location you can know exactly what to expect. Including very similar specials for the month in both food and drinks. We visited to just hit the tail end of the February/Valentines specials for drinks. I got their Red Velvet Cold Brew while my wife got the Cupid Latte (raspberry cheesecake latte with raspberry cold foam). Both were top notch and a great way to end their monthly specials. I do appreciate the fact they offer such a selection of specials to keep you coming back for something new. Food wise my wife got her go-to for Luna Cafe which is the Modern Egg Breakfast Sandwich while I got the Maple Sausage. It had just the right amount of maple on it. We have yet to branch out from their breakfast sandwiches but have always enjoyed them. The only negative I can add for our visit was it did first seem like we would not be ordering as it took a little time before a member of staff came to the counter for us to order. Overall it is a minimal complaint and the staff member was friendly and food/drinks were finished quickly. Stopped here while in town. I love the other location so wanted to check this one out. Lots of parking and cute space. Not as many seats as the other location but some cute chairs. It was busy when I stopped by but the coffee was just as great. read more

Cafe Luna has so much potential, but like the other reviewers have said, they really need to get the noise level under control. The high ceilings must amplify the seemingly constant sound of ice grinding. I met friends for breakfast, we were trying to catch up but it was difficult--it's louder than you might imagine and really did sound like a construction zone. It's counter service and we walked right up to order with no waiting a little after nine on a Saturday. There was a short line about an hour later. I had the Cocoa Craze Smoothie Bowl: dates, cocoa, bananas, honey, almond milk, topped with coconut and granola. It was decent--quite large--like 3-4 portions. Also noteworthy, there was a lot of single use plastic--the bowl and even the dine-in utensils, which seems inconsistent with a place that seems to be marketing itself as a cafe that serves relatively healthy food. If I go back it would be for takeout--there were other menu items I'd like to try but the deafening noise was too much and put a damper on the experience. read more

Cafe Luna!! I had heard about their location in Scarborough before but have never been. So when I was buzzing through Falmouth for errands I was excited to try their new location! The space is super large which is great for people to come with friends n family or for work (unless you need a quiet focus space). I just ordered a quick iced latte (which was a solid 8/10). I wish I had more time to hang out and maybe get some work done! read more

As others have said - the noise level and crowd management is next to nothing. Their food is very good & specialty drinks are usually pretty tasty too. I will say - recently (I come here at least once a week as I live nearby) the baristas/counter service has been very rude/aggressive/out right ignoring us as we stand 2 ft away from them and they look directly at me/my party and continue on with what they're doing. Not a "hey we'll be with you in a second" or even a smile, I get they are busy but no acknowledgement is just rude. The past three weeks my boyfriend and I have ordered take out orders and have gone to the counter to pick them up we've been ignored and then when they finally do come to the counter it's attitude, rolling eyes and just making it visible that our order is an annoyance. Unfortunately is making us want to come back less and less as their food is good. Their other location is much friendlier/more welcoming. read more

I LOVE cafe luna. I try to take as many of my friends and family there as possible. Delicious foods and drinks - I can never decide what to get. I love their avocado BLT, strawberry/banana smoothie, and luna smoothie bowl. Their pink drink is the best pink drink I've ever had. They also have really fun specials that I love to try. One recommendation that would make me so happy is if they added a simple lemonade to the menu. I really like arnold palmers, and I wish they had this! They have lemon syrup you can add to their iced tea, but it's just not the same as actual lemonade. read more

Perfect place right on time for summer and will be enjoyed all throughout the year for something healthy while being able to avoid going downtown or the commute to their other location in Scarborough I used to take. Let me kick off the reviews for the new Falmouth location. Hooray, we really needed a shop like this in that area. Starbucks no thank you. Since I'm rating my "experience" it pulled down the stars a bit. First, my breakfast sandwich on a bagel was done beautifully and totally on point. Also the chai latte. Delicious, sweet enough, right temp and perfectly brewed. Service great. But to hang out in the space is difficult. I know they don't have nearly as much space as Scarborough but the noise level is truly uncomfortable and unpleasant. So when you combine the horrible acoustics, the blender (WAY too loud.... move it to the back!) and a fussy toddler or two, you have to literally lean in and yell to your companion. Not relaxing. They even tried to pump in a little music.... not helpful. I was just trying to chat with a friend but can't imagine someone on a laptop or in an important meeting or conversation could tolerate the atmosphere. I hope you can work on it!
