Cafe Luna has so much potential, but like the other reviewers have said, they really need to get the noise level under control. The high ceilings must amplify the seemingly constant sound of ice grinding. I met friends for breakfast, we were trying to catch up but it was difficult--it's louder than you might imagine and really did sound like a construction zone. It's counter service and we walked right up to order with no waiting a little after nine on a Saturday. There was a short line about an hour later. I had the Cocoa Craze Smoothie Bowl: dates, cocoa, bananas, honey, almond milk, topped with coconut and granola. It was decent--quite large--like 3-4 portions. Also noteworthy, there was a lot of single use plastic--the bowl and even the dine-in utensils, which seems inconsistent with a place that seems to be marketing itself as a cafe that serves relatively healthy food. If I go back it would be for takeout--there were other menu items I'd like to try but the deafening noise was too much and put a damper on the experience.

Cafe Luna!! I had heard about their location in Scarborough before but have never been. So when I was buzzing through Falmouth for errands I was excited to try their new location! The space is super large which is great for people to come with friends n family or for work (unless you need a quiet focus space). I just ordered a quick iced latte (which was a solid 8/10). I wish I had more time to hang out and maybe get some work done!

First, some expectation setting- You can think of it as a first cousin to a grandma style or second cousin to a Sicilian. Thinner crust, decent structure, more structured than a NY, less structured than a Sicilian or a good grandma style. It's a little lighter than a Sicilian or grandma in terms of crust. "Heaviness" is pretty subjective depending on the toppings. The pizza - Soppresatta was packed with flavor, salty, spicy, little sweet from a touch of honey and a very fresh, slightly punchy sauce - keeps some acidity and tastes lively. The crust was delicious, from what I read, this is a sourdough crust. Definitely had some good character and flavor to it.. I got this heated before eating it. The vegan special - obviously I'm not vegan, but that pizza looked phenomenal. Had to try it. This one did not get heated up as it was suggested to leave it cold (logical considering it basically has a salad on top). I don't know what the vegan cheese was but it tasted like a whipped ricotta/goat cheese would. The fresh tomato, pickled peppers and red onion all played perfectly together. I'd certainly go back here. A little on the pricey side but I think it rang in around $18 on these 2 slices (yes, pictured is considered a slice of each) I was plenty satisfied.

Yet another fantastic visit to George & Leon's! It had been a little while since we have visited…read morebut with it being so close decided to have dinner here. Showed up before any sort of rush and snagged two seats at the bar. The overall vibes are great here with lots of interesting decor (lots of movie & horror themed things). The bartender greeted us and was willing to answer any questions we had and immediately got us glasses of water. We then decided on cocktails and she made great tasty drinks to our liking. My wife went with a Daiquiri and had just enough fruity/sweetness with a kick still. I got one of their bourbon drinks and it had a great kick to it. Food wise I ended up getting their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was a delicious sandwich with juicy chicken. My wife got the Jr. Beef and enjoyed it but thought the sauce was a touch spicy (would likely pick another item next time) but very much enjoyed it and finished it still. We split an order of onion rings and they were outstanding, lightly battered but perfectly crispy. Due to sitting at the bar we had fantastic conversations with the bartender who made us feel welcome and provided great service. We talked about our love for animals, Maine and more. Really the perfect example of how the experience of sitting at a bar should be and why you'd return! Give George & Leon's a try if you haven't and if it's been awhile revisit!

The beef was tender, flavorful, and piled just right, with plenty of sauce to make every bite satisfying without being too much. The onion rings were a standout--crispy, golden, and clearly homemade, with great seasoning and a fresh taste you do not get everywhere. This was one of those simple, classic meals done really well. Good portions, great flavor, and exactly the kind of local spot you hope to find when you are in town. I would gladly order this again.
