The young cashier turns on the blinking light and we begin our wait This is my second lane, the others were way too long. Somebody over the airwaves calls for more cashiers, but fails to think about managers who could ok the purchase of alcohol. So we wait and wait. There was one young manager who looked of age, but wasn't. So me and the cashier wait more. .She apologizes. Finally, the lone guy that could check me out casually goes to 2 other blinking lights before coming our way. He obviously saw our need, but Instead of quickly coming over, he casually went to a station near the carts. He took his sweet time leisurely messing around it before slowly walking to our lane. He then said he was sorry for the wait. This is possibly the fifteen time I've waited too long to check out here. I'll pass on this place and go somewhere with better management. Thank goodness Aldi is here.

Once inside it's your standard liquor store with a large variety of things. Honestly they had many ready to drink offerings I have not seen elsewhere including the particular drinks we were searching for. Staff were friendly enough, no complaints with checking out. My wife liked the store as well and got caught looking at the 3D Printed animals they had on sale after we bought our drinks. I suspect this is a spot many locals visit frequently and have a good relationship with the staff. It had those vibes that you'd expect to be a go to spot for those in search of drinks or smokes. I would return (not for the same specific drink because they were not that good, but that isn't a knock against Westbrook Market).

Entrance is on Forest and is clearly marked. You walk in and there is sooo much to see! Cue the candy store memories as a child. I quickly lifted my jaw and stepped to the side and started taking pictures. This store is nicely set up with wood, glass, and some brass accents for a nice look. They truly have a VAST selection of all spirits offered. Some items, that are rare, or higher priced are locked in glass cases. All the information you need is right there in the open. There were two clerks working the front. When no one was waiting to check out, they walked the floor looking in on all to see if we had any questions. Saw one man go to counter and ask questions, the clerk was friendly and knowledgeable about the offerings he was looking for. I found my Jameson with a few variations to choose from. Cask-mates stout is a favorite but not always available. Black label was on the shelf with two sizes to choose from. Now for a beverage for a holiday gathering. Looking for something on the berry side but not loaded with sugar. They had a huge of beers, seltzers, ales, and ciders to choose from. Wasn't feeling the seltzers which I do enjoy, today I was feeling a cider. I chose the BRLO Berlin Cider "Dark and Wild" mixed berries. Then an Ale caught my eye in a tall off white bottle with a swivel cork top. Delirium Red; Belgian ale with cherry and elderberry!! Yes please! They have other flavors too. Checking out was easy. A few registers with last minute adds for review. Best one; they had an Advent calendar of Beers and Ales genius! If you are looking for a special gift, a tried and true, or up for an adventure; head to Bow Street beverage on Forest Ave. in Portland, minutes from 295 too!

They offer propane gas tank exchange. The gas pumps weren't busy, but the area looked clean. Very clean, very well stocked I love the fact they have locally made products, Wilburs Chocolate, Holy Donuts and Shains of Maine Ice Cream are some of our favorites. We had their pizza - it was fine. Well prepared, toppings nice and balanced. Typical convenient store ingredients. The sandwiches we order one time, were decent. We liked the "italian" type of bread. The ciabiatta bread was good too. Joe one of the staff leaders greeted me and introduced himself and shook my hand as I was using the self checkout...(yes self checkout!! YAY!) He was very friendly and local, which is nice to see. The online ordering process is easy as well. Prices are decent for what you get. If you set up an online account, you can earn points when you shop there and apply them to future orders. Pretty sweet! If you are in the area, i would definitely recommend stopping by for some local treats.

As to be expected in New England considering the popularity. The refreshers are the perfect drink for a hot summer day. Coffee wise local spots have superior drinks but a chain spot they can be decent. Their breakfast sandwiches are better than a lot of the other fast food options but do wish you got more hash browns with an order. With the numerous visits we have we made here over the years we have had so few issues or complaints which is why I have given 4 stars. Minus one star due to being Dunkin and local options being better. But keeping at 4 stars just due to the fact this has been the most consistent and reliable local Dunkin to us.
