Driving through Flagstaff and saw a sign for Pho! Say what?! Been in AZ for 4 days now and had to get my Vietnamese fixed on. Silly that I go into pho restaurants but rarely ever order pho. So...ordered myself ginger chicken with white rice. Authentic Vietnamese dish and boy was it delicious! The sauce had a perfect amount of ginger taste that wasn't overwhelming. Complimented the rice very well. I literally devoured the whole meal to myself as you can see from my photo ;) The 4 stars is because bf ordered the chicken pho and the broth was sweet. We're both not fans of sweet pho broth or too much of the star anise flavoring. Very clean quaint restaurant. Great service and would recommend their rice plates! read more

I like to eat vegetarian sometimes so I ordered the vegetable pho. It was extremely sweet... I asked about it and they said the broth was made with sweet potatoes, which I'm a little confused because it was clear. I've recently cut out sugar so I didn't like this at all. Was not expecting it to be sweet at all. And it cost $13 which was $2 more than the steak pho, and the portion was smaller as well. I did not finish my bowl of pho. While visiting the Grand Canyon South Rim, I suddenly got a craving for pho (there was some kind of herb or something whose scent reminded me of it) which is why we decided to eat our lunch here. I was too hungry to really judge my meal while eating but in hindsight, the pho was decent, nothing spectacular. I've had better pho back where I live. I think it's good enough to satisfy any cravings though. I also want to point out that unlike other places I've visited, they give you a small dish of sriracha and hoisin sauce as opposed to just providing the bottles for you. It's not a terrible idea but I would much prefer having the bottles at hand. I live in Flag and I absolutely love Vietnamese food. I was excited when this place opened and have eaten here twice. I've eaten the beef pho w flank steak and I've also had the chicken pho. The broth is good, but not knock your socks off. It is very salty (my daughter disagrees) and it is lacking that wow factor! Usually you get that hint of anise and clove, but this pho is a little flat. The beef is very tender and the ingredients were fresh. Mediocre, Nothing special, save your money and appetite. Places closes at 8 pm on Saturday night. Walked in at 715 pm and felt unwanted and unwelcome. Should have known from the start. Vegetarian spring rolls are tough and filled with iceberg lettuce, noodles, tofu, and one mint leaf. Pho was just ok. The broth really did not have any flavor. A group of three came in at 740 and was turned away from dining inside. Doesn't seem like good business sense to turn away customers when your empty on a Saturday night. I have had my share of good Vietnamese, this wasn't one of them. The chicken pho was very clean, almost no taste, with weird pieces of chicken. The other dish was rice vermicelli with pork and egg rolls, pork was very socky and smothered in garlic. Not very appetizing. I happened to be in Flagstaff and craving for pho after a week of non-Asian food. I was hesitating to find a decent Vietnamese pho in the area. Searched on Yelps and ran across MPM Pho. We arrived the place and walked inside with no one in the restaurant and it was around 6:30p. We ordered pho and hoped to have a decent taste just to stuff it down. However, we were surprised with the taste of the broth at first then juiciness of the meat. We came from the heartland of Vietnamese foods in Little Saigon (OC Southern California), and we are very picky when it comes to pho restaurant. I am telling you MPM Pho is easily to be ranked top 5 Pho restaurant in Little Saigon areas. The only thing I would recommend is to serve the soup at a hotter temperature. The waiter is super friendly and helpful. I definitely will mark this restaurant down for future road trip if I happen to pass by Flagstaff area! Please share my review with the chef/kitchen. I could tell they are really taking good care of making and preparing their pho, especially the slide of the juicy beef flank! I would recommend pho at this restaurant to everyone! read more

When i yelped this place and i saw pho with hand cut rare steak and darker broth i knew this place is serious. It turned out to be true. Make sure you check that they have included everything in your order when you call ahead for pick-up!!! They failed to check that everything was in my order before handing it to me and when I called back saying they forgot something they told me I could come back and get it. I informed them i lived far away and asked if they could just refund me and they said I had to either come back and get what they forgot to give me or come back and get it refunded. Horrible customer service as all they offered was an apology and did not offer any compensation for having to drive all the way there and back 2x in a day. McDonald's is more gracious for their mistakes than this place. Go elsewhere. read more

Took a trip to MPM Pho after a quick hike in Flag and thought it was a perfect time to have some hot delicious soup. Fortunately the soup was good and had the pho taste that I have come to expect from any Vietnamese restaurant but to pay $12 for a regular to small combo bowl of pho is fairly pricey. I understand that there is not much competition but lets be reasonable. The service does is not represented in the price. The servers were nice but they were definitely forgetful. We ordering 3 combo specials and an egg roll appetizer, they forgot to put in our order. They could have been busy, I get that. Then they forget the veggies on the side and tripe that came in the combo. To top it off, when it was time to pay and leave, they forgot to return my credit card, leaving me to sit and wait until I eventually had to kindly remind them that I had given them the card earlier. TL;DR: Food is decent but their service can be handled in a more professional manner for charging $12 - $10 per bowl of pho. read more

I ordered take out while I stayed overnight in Flagstaff on my drive out to Albuquerque from California. I ordered the fresh shrimp spring rolls and bbq pork and egg roll vermicelli bowl. Service was prompt, and the restaurant dining room appears clean and inviting and modern. The items I ordered were delicious, yet after eating vermicelli bowls in California, there were some missing flavors, like no peanut sauce in the dipping sauce for the shrimp spring rolls. Good vegetarian Pho and MPM rolls. Not-so-good service, atmosphere, and pricing. Order out if you want a decent, sweet Pho (make sure all soup add-in's are included!); dine in if you want to wait forever for your food and check, and freeze your butt off in the winter. The MPM rolls were tightly rolled and easy to eat, plus the salty flavor of the tofu inside went well with the vinegar-heavy chili/sweet & sour sauce. But for the price, I would like to have 4 rolls instead of 3. The vegetarian vermicelli bowl was basically a deconstructed MPM roll in a bowl: same veggies + tofu and same sauce. It was $11 for the bowl: too expensive for not even double the amount of food in the MPM roll. This dish was so underwhelming and small it didn't even touch my husband's appetite, so he walked across the parking lot to order a pizza from Fratelli's to take home. The Pho was almost overwhelmingly sweet with the jicima, but the perfectly softened veggies and plenty of noodles were helpful on the whole. I only wish I had received the heaping plate of add-in's that comes with this dish so I could have spiced it up and made it even more hearty. The bowl was huge and cost $12: not a terrible price for the amount of food. Our order took forever to come out, and the server never brought a drink we ordered, or the plate of add-in's that go with the Pho. It took another eternity to get our check. The restaurant was freezing! It was so cold that everyone at every table kept their heavy coat on throughout their meal - myself and my husband included. The owner/cook works hard to keep it authentic and she succeeded in every way except no basil for the Pho, how can you have Pho without basil I ask? Could have conveyed this before we ordered. Way overpriced pho ($9, a 30% increase from what we are used to), very small portion, little meat, and a great amount of MSG. I wouldn't know what the food is like. I was with a party of 4 and while they got their main dish (all at different times), I just sat here with nothing. The waiter seemed a little slow to comprehend things, as he seemed rather confused when I brought up the fact I never got my food. We ordered spring and egg rolls and it took 20 minutes to get the egg rolls, which was brought out with the incorrect sauce. Not sure where the spring rolls went, as they never showed up. We NEVER received an apology. What makes it all the more irritating is that the owner was sitting a table down from us the entire time. The service was not great (never checked on us, got half of our orders wrong, did not bring out a coffee, etc.) I could understand if they were busy but there was only two other tables.
