I was driving thru Flagstaff on my way to Fremont CA. Looked up the restaurant on Yelp and ordered…read moretakeaway. The food was fantastic!! I would highly recommend the chicken fried rice. The service was efficient and I was in and out with my order in 5 minutes Highly recommend!!

Busting, friendly vibe, lots of families, students, people on date night. Service was attentive and congenial. The BF went for a veggie chow mein with extra veggies, and I thought I ordered the drunken noodles (Pad Kee Mao) with chicken and extra veggies too. Ended up with Pad See Ew but it was so delicious that I didn't care. Word to the wise: they really don't hold back on the spice! They say that 10 is "Thai Spice" level and 2 is medium . The BF spends half his time in Issan province in NE Thailand, where the Issan Salad is too hot for many Thai people, and he travels around Thailand too. He orders Thai spice there and can totally handle it. So after much discussion with the server, he went with 7, and I went with 4. The 7 absolutely defeated him. He had to leave everything but the veggies and then order plain white rice to soothe the palate. The 4 was plenty hot enough even for him. It was right at the edge of my comfort level. But the flavors were soooo good. Perfect blend of salty, sweet basil, a little tart lime-ness, and deep umami from fish sauce in my noodles. Couldn't taste the BF's, I could only taste fire. But the staff was so nice and they laughed so good-naturedly at my BF's spice suffering, I really can't dock them for the fiery noodles. Prices were reasonable, portions were ample. Cute little place in a cute neighborhood near the historic railway station. Good place for an after-dinner stroll.

It came with my favorite banchan (kimchi, fishcake, and cucumber salad) and soup. 4.5/5 - Beef Bulgogi Bowl: beef and steam veggies. These also came with the same banchan and soup. 4/5 - Korean Fried Chicken: so crispy! It came with a side of gochujang (chili paste) and ranch. 4/5 SERVICE: There was quite a wait but the service was fast and friendly. 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would come back. I love a good mom and pops!

Food is ok overall 4/5 (Tofu seafood soup: 5/5, omurice 4/5, spicy chicken soup 4/5, Bibimbowl 4/5 but I wouldn't say it was special. We had a toddler with us and had a stroller which could fold into a much smaller piece less than the size of a chair. The place was almost empty when we walked in. As soon as the owner (I assumed) saw us walking in, she gave us a super unfriendly almost impolite look, told us to fold the stroller. Then we were about to fold it, she told us "no no no, you have to put it in your car". There was no sign about stroller anywhere and the restaurant was almost empty. I was ok w it, folding it and walked back to leave it in my car. I told her we had 4 and a baby. She gave us a table for 4 then told us why didn't I told her sooner that we had 5 people. We helped our toddler to drink water but she liked to drink water from the cup directly and not through a straw and shook her head a bit. The owner scolded us why not having her drink water lol Then my toddler was drinking water from the cup directly as she always does. The owner scolded us. Yes, scolded. She told us close the lid and have her drink the water from the straw. At this point, I wanted to leave but because we already ordered. We didn't want to be impolite... My friend ordered an omurice and kimchi soup. When the food is out, the owner looked at her with a weird look shaking her head thinking she eated too much. Lol. She was smiling to other Caucasian customers while always judgemental and somehow unhappy to our group (Asian people) although we were polite and followed her directions the whole time. Last but not least, 18% of tip was automatically included in our bill.
