Stopped in Flagstaff on a road trip, saw several signs advertising for Pho, decided to go with it. Checked a few reviews and chose to go with MPM Pho. We were not disappointed. We placed a takeout order since they were closing soon. My wife had the Beef Rib Pho. Broth was seasoned perfectly. The ribs were bone-in with a weird cut to them but the meat was juicy and tender, though under seasoned. Came with cilantro, bean sprouts, lime, and some sort of spicy chili sauce. I had the spicy beef stir fry with rice. The heat was strong but didn't mask the flavors. The onions and peppers had a nice bite, cooked but still crisp. Staff was friendly and even offered to help me carry the food to my car. Only 4 stars because we had ordered two iced coffees, which they were out of when we arrived. Really would have loved to try it. Opted for two iced teas instead. They were delicious but gone after about 3 decent sips. Left us wanting more. read more

I love Pho , it was kinda chilly that evening took my family for some nice soup. Nice simple place , reasonable prices and oh boy big bowls. The spring rolls ok, more lettuce , shrimp cut in half and not of the rice noodles in them. I will come back next time very good flavor. Check it out if you love PHO. read more

I am an avid pho diner, and this was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. The waitstaff/kitchen were slow and rude, and some of the beef in the pho had a grayish-green tint and a strong, bad smell. When I pointed it out to the waitress, she took it to the kitchen and brought me more, saying that it was the lighting in the dining area. It was a very disappointing experience. read more

Tried this place for the first time. I got the vermicelli bowl and it was yummy except for that there was a piece of torn plastic in my food. And the dish was slightly sweet. I wasn't expected a sweet dish. My friend got a vegetarian pho bowl and surprisingly it cost more than the meat pho! I understand that it was the labor cost that went into the price because I guess meats are ready and prepared in advance, but the only veggies in there were a couple broccoli and cauliflower. The vegetable pho was also very sweet as if they put sugar in the soup - would have been much better without it tasting sweet. The vermicelli bowl was $9 and the Vegetable Pho was $11. There was no one in the restaurant when we came in. The owner sat in the corner with his arms crossed, not a word a hello or can I help you. The waitress finally came out and sat us across from him. Throughout the meal the owner sat there and glared at us. We waited about 30 minutes for our eggrolls and when it came it did not come with lettuce and mint. We asked the waitress for that condiments and she said it does not come with it. I asked her that the picture on the menu shows that it comes with it. She told me they downloaded that picture from the web. To me that is false advertisement. A friend of mine came in to place an order, and the owner jumped out of his chair started greeting my friend with joy and happiness and quickly went into the kitchen prepare for her food. My friend and I were talking while she was waiting for her food. The owner came out with her food talked with her some more then she left ,after that the owner sat back down to the same corner across his arm again. Still not a word to us like we were not even there. When the soup came it was very salty. So in my opinion they have bad food and bad service. The owner it's very selective of whom he would like to greet and say hi to. This is not the place I would like to revisit again. read more

This place is delicious! I came with my mom kind of randomly, and this place blew us away. We both had vermicelli bowls. Mine was pork and egg roll, and her's was chicken. Both were great. My pork was seriously the best pork I've ever had in a bun bowl-super flavourful and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back here! read more

So my Vietnamese coworker and I went here for lunch, ordered a couple bowls of pho and spring rolls. Him being from Vietnam and such is typically tough to please on this type of stuff, and suffice to say, he liked it. Myself, I thoroughly enjoyed it, the flavors were good and the broth was just the way I like it. The sauce for the spring rolls was great with some sriracha sauce added in and wasn't too thick and pasty like Street Side Saigon's. Good decor, decent prices. Friendly staff. A couple things that keeps this from being 5 stars: The bowls and spoons for the pho are all wrong. Giving me a tablespoon to eat noodle soup is a pain. Deliver chopsticks and soup spoons (when I asked, they went and got one for me so don't be afraid to ask for things!). The bowls are fancy ceramic things with lids. I don't need a lid. Don't hide my pho from me, it's awesome to look at and smell! Also other customers will see it and want it, because it's awesome and you guys do a great job with it. Use a normal pho bowl, something wide that's easier to scoop from. I like the food a lot, but as another reviewer has stated, the portions are on the small side for a pho restaurant. Had we not ordered spring rolls, we would have still been hungry. Also, I had to ask for basil/jalapenos/lime/etc and they had no basil, only mint (?) Whatever. It's not that big of a deal because the flavors are still good, just annoying as I have preset expectations from other places when I go out for pho. I get that these are small, nitpicky things. That's the 5 star review difference. I still recommend the food, it's of good quality and flavor. read more

We came here for pho, since we've been missing authentic Vietnamese food since our recent trip to Vietnam. The beef pho was delicious. It came with basil and bean sprouts (and lime and jalapeño) on the side -- maybe an addition in response to recent reviews? The Vietnamese coffee was also excellent. And service was great. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. I ordered the #5 and it was a large serving of pho. They didn't have basil which I was sad about. The environment was a little awkward, no music playing and we were basically the only people in there on a Saturday night. My big complaint and the reason I'm only giving 3 stars is because there was a small child (I'm assuming the owner's son because he knew the servers really well) was running around barefoot and putting his feet all over the counter. This place really impressed me, the quality of the food was amazing, service was frequent and friendly. However, and this is just my personal opinion, their serving size was significantly smaller than most pho restaurants I've been to and every pho restaurant I've been to, had thai iced tea which in my opinion is a very nice drink to have with a bowl of pho. Young inexperienced servers, that are talked down to by the owner. Three times I've come now and they run out of items on the menu every single time; and expect you to pay full price too. Have eaten here about four times now and keep coming back. I've brought friends back to try it too. I typically order the pho bien (meatball) while my fiance prefers the spicy beef dish. First thing's first - I don't know HOW you make that spicy beef so good, but damn. The wait time is usually non-existent or minimal. The food is delicious and the staff are very courteous. The restaurant is clean but could use a few more decorations. The ambient music that is usually playing is nice too. 4 stars instead of 5 because the price and location. Price - The dishes are about $2 more each than I'd expect in a non-Flagstaff location. Location - The nearby bar crowd has begged me for money on my way in and out of this restaurant on several occasions. Hopefully the owner can find a lease somewhere else as I think it would be good for his business to not be next to that bar. read more

Good service, okay food. The service here is fast and friendly. Some of the dishes here are really good (the chicken curry), but the pho is average. If you are used to authentic Vietnamese pho, this place will do for Flagstaff, but you will still miss the real good stuff. I go to satiate my cravings and it does the job. read more

We stopped in here midweek around lunchtime on a cold, rainy day. Pho was just what the doctor ordered. The vegetarian pho was good. Sweet potatoes in pho?! What a great addition! The broth was flavorful but light and not overly salty. My partner got the grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl and ate every last bite. Excited to try the vegetarian egg rolls next time. I appreciate that they have a designated "vegetarian" section on their menu. Price was right. Minus one star though because the dining area smelled awful. Maybe like dirty mop water? It almost made it difficult to enjoy our meal. But the smell didn't continue back by the kitchen on my way to the restroom, so I don't think it was anything to be concerned about as far as safety goes. read more

Considering that we are in Flagstaff and the food is good but I have had better, this place is definitely one of my favorites here in town. I like my pho with extra tendons and another pho restaurant near by will not accommodate my request but MPM Pho will gladly do that for me. They always have friendly service and are quick and efficient whenever I dine there. Basically, if you want some pretty good pho then this place is definitely one of the best restaurants to get that. read more

I am Vietnamese from California. I make my homemade pho which takes 3 days of beef bone boiling. My review here is NOT based on my home made pho, but store bought from CA (Vietnamese foodie in CA). The pho is below mediocre for California standards, not gross but edible. I can see why it is rated a 4 star for AZ standards. Honestly, just don't eat Vietnamese food in AZ is my final assessment, but if you must, this place is just ok when comparing to store bought pho In CA. Yum! My visiting from Tucson pho-aficionado sister got me to try this place. We had a so-so pho (couldn't resist) at another local spot that was just such a dingy, divey feeling place it was sad. When we arrived at MPM, the difference was delightful. The decor is clean, modern, and pretty. Service was fine. My sister and I were chatting with Dusty, the owner. When he found out my sister loves tendon, he made sure her bowl was chock full of glutinous goodness. The broth was quite different in the two soups we tried, but each was delicate and complex. So I stopped into this place for lunch...... On a serious note this was my first time in and my first review (go figure). This place has a very quaint vibe, very minimal decor which in my opinion is nice. It is in a bit of a sketchy mall but where there's good food the masses will go. So how about that food? Fantastic, I started with the Vietnamese egg rolls with pork and they had a phenomenal blend of flavor and textures. My Pho when it arrived had a very nice variety of subtle flavors and textures. This is a bowl of soup to be savored and enjoyed. The staff was attentive and very quick to check for needs and requests. My only downside to this place was the hot tea. With the volume of water used an additional tea bag or two is need, by the time my water was "tea" it was barely luke warm. Ill be back again soon. read more

Terrible service, waited over an hour for food. was not what I ordered and charged me for more expensive menu item which I did not order and added a $5 extra fee for adding veggies after removing chicken. I've eaten here a few times . The pho is good. Recently went there with six friends and won't go back. The restaurant was about half full and under staffed. All our food came out at different times. I had beef and noodles. It was salty and unimpressive. I also ordered egg rolls which came out after my entree. They were hard, dry and inedible. When I told my server she said the owner said they were fresh and I'd have to pay for them. It's amazing to me the owner would lose 7 customers over $5 rolls. She needs a lesson in customer service and business management. Won't be going back. read more

Been there 3 times so far for lunch and the previous 2 times were very good. Pho is decent but a little overpriced. The last time the waitress was down right rude. I'm normally a 20% + tipper but refused to give her anything.I get a short lunch break so I usually know what I want to order. She seemed upset when I said I would order right away. She did not bring any water or utensils. Just looked at me when she went by. Previously, I get my pho rather quickly, this time it took another waiter and 20 minutes to get my food, water and utensils. I did tip the waiter who got me water, utensils and brought my pho. While paying, I heard other customers complaining about the service. I will try this place again, since it close to work but hopefully the waitress has a better attitude. read more

The phó taste on point, the proper garnish for Phó isn't always avaliable and who eats spring rolls without peanut sauce, the sauce they do provide with the spring rolls taste horrible don't bother with a appetizer the phó is plenty and a bit overpriced, conclusion if you want phó in flagstaff there isn't a better place. read more

My boyfriend and I ordered takeout. I got the pho tai nam and my boyfriend got chicken yellow curry. We also got the rocket shrimp. I loved my pho, broth was great. His curry was really sweet. The rocket shrimp were just okay, I think they need a sauce with them to make them more flavorful as all they came with was sriracha. The food was ready for pickup within 10 minutes. read more

The food was okay. I have had much better pho and spring rolls at other places. What bothered us the most was our server. The other servers tables were well taken care of but our server seemed to ignore us. He kept apologizing for the delay but didn't try to fix his mistake.
