I generally have low expectations of these Asian-fusion casino restaurants that fall somewhere between high-end fine dining and fast-casual. But Mozen surprised me. Sticky BBQ pork rib - it's really a Thai dish but excellently executed, grilled over charcoal and brushed with tangy honey bbq sauce, it's fall-off-the-bone tender and a must-get appetizer/bar bite. Shrimp fried rice - one of the best versions I've had, and that includes Din Tai Fung. It's packed with jumbo prawns and the fried rice was wokked to perfection, so full of umami and flavor. Service was also exceptionally courteous, made me feel like a VIP, even though I was sitting at the bar.

As part of staying at the Morongo Hotel casino, they gave me a free appetizer at Mozen Asian Kitchen . The gentleman who seats us is very accommodating. The service behind the bar and wait staff is extremely slow. maybe they didn't have enough help on, but the bartender was really slow and the gentleman next to me who was only having drinks was getting fed up and decrease the amount of her tip and was complaining about her. The area is very clean and nice. Will think about if I go back again.

the food was actually pretty good here and portions are HUGE. menu items are also priced well. the only thing that was upsetting is once we found out how big the portions were as we saw them going out to the tables we politely asked to cancel our ribs. the server told us they were just about to come out. however 15-20 minutes went by until they came out. it was also a menu item that was ordered a lot so would've been easy to send to a different table.

I had a great experience here! The customer service was excellent everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions are more than generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. The strawberry margarita was one of my favorites perfectly balanced and so refreshing. I truly recommend this place if you're looking for great service, amazing food, and a great overall dining experience!

We stopped in for a quick bite and drinks, and this spot delivered just what we were looking for. Seated along the railing facing the casino floor, we had plenty of entertainment with nonstop people-watching and a great view of the lively atmosphere. This was perfect for not committing to a full dining experience. You can check out my menu pics to see the variety of small bites they offer. We started with the egg rolls. While clearly commercially made, they still hit the spot. The vegetables inside were crisp and fresh-tasting, and the wrapper was thin, giving a good balance between stuffing and dough. The dipping sauce was slightly sweet but not bland--flavorful enough to round out each bite. Next up were the Asian Sticky Ribs. These came out hot, tender, and generously sauced. The glaze was very sweet--bordering on dessert-level sweetness--but still rich enough to make each bite satisfying. The ribs themselves were meaty; they were filling due to the richness of the sauce and cut. It's a convenient place for a casual meal or a snack while taking in the energy of the casino.

Mozen Asian Kitchen is located inside the Casino Morongo Resort & Spa near the Oasis Pool. Passing by, I already knew I wanted to eat here because of the decor. We were a party of 6 and were seated quickly. We ordered enough for a family style dinner. Here's what we had: * Kalbi Short Ribs - This was delicious and incredibly flavorful. It tasted much better than the Kalbi (Galbi) we recently had at Dubu in Eastvale. It came with a side of kimchi - the kimchi was too fermented for my liking, as I prefer a fresher batch. * Garlic Green Beans - Delicious. The green beans were cooked perfectly where it still had the 'snap' and not overly cooked. I loved the pieces of garlic and whatever sauce they used to make this. * Yuzu Calamari - This was good. I liked the yuzu cream but I would have preferred it on the side. One side of the calamari was overly dressed while the opposite side had no dressing. * Combo Fried Rice - Really good. The rice came in a bowl shape and was tightly packed so there was plenty of rice. I prefer this type because I don't like the rice being dry and separate; I prefer my rice in 'clumps' - it's better than it sounds lol. * Chicken Pot Stickers - While I was too full to try this, everyone at the table loved this. They said that the sauce was a sesame oil base and was really good. * Jasmine Green Tea - As soon as our server brought this out, I immediately recognized the tea pot and tea from Tea Forte. While I prefer loose leaf tea, this wasn't bad. It's a trusted brand and the Jasmine Green was a solid choice. We also had some Shirley Temples for our table. The service was a little slower than we liked but the staff were all nice. I'm sure it was just a busy night. Our appetizers (potstickers and calamari) came out last. The ambiance is nice because it's away from the casino floor. And the interior is just beautiful. Loved the navy blue, browns and touches of ivory. The tables were a little low. If you're tall and have a longer torso, it'll be weird eating. The seats were comfortable though. Overall, I really enjoyed it here. The food was actually good if you order the right stuff - don't just go for plain Beef & Broccoli (lol). Their Kalbi is the best menu item we had. I'd love a thicker cut on it, though, but it was still grilled to perfection. Our server Daisy was great and so was Anthony who brought out our drinks. I'd definitely come back again. 4.4/5

    Crab fried rice

One of the best if not the best Asian restaurant inside a casino in Southern California. Menu selections featuring food from China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and Korea are not extensive but whatever you choose from appetizers to desserts are delicious and satisfying. Here are a few of the dishes we ordered:Salt & Pepper shrimp, Spicy Basil Chicken, and Salt & Pepper Crispy Fish. All are very tasty with a beautiful balance of flavors. What is exceptional though is their crab fried rice. This is the best Asian crab fried rice we've ever tasted because they use jumbo lump crabmeat. No other restaurant we've ever ordered crabmeat fried rice from, served this meaty, fresh tasting and oh so delectable dish. Most used canned crabmeat and were very skimpy in portions. Even a Michelin star restaurant's crab fried rice doesn't compare to Mozen's. It was so good that we ordered it again the next time we had dinner there.

Warm welcome & beautiful smile by Amber the Assistance Manager, she sat us to our table. Dennis at the Bar brought us water. What attention Amber brought us water too! WOW! Food came out so FAST with Izayah, Lee and Amber assisted with serving all our EARLY New Year celebrations meal at our Go -To FAVORITE Mozen Asian Kitchen restaurants at Morongo. Fast clean up by Eryc. Excellent Teamwork with the Leadership of Amber,Assistance manager & Dennis who taken the rest of our orders, Izayah ,Lee & Eryc to assisted with bringing out food. WOW! WOW! Excellent Dining Experience especially ending the YEAR! With GOOD Eats!) Thank you Amber & your Team. Almost forgot Chefs & Line Cooks All the food was delicious made especially Kalbi Korean short ribs my family and I favorite comfort food & Edemame:)

Tom Ka soup. I know it doesn't look like your typical soup, but it was really good.

I have not been to this restaurant, even though I've been to the casino. 1000 times. We always go to Wahlburgers or the good times Café. We were pleasantly surprised because the food was really really good. I love Tom Ka soup, and the server told me to make sure that it was something. I really liked because a lot of people don't eat it. I looked for pictures of it on yelp, and no one had a picture of it. When it arrived it definitely didn't look like my regular. Tom Ka soup but I was surprised because it was amazing. We also had the poke nachos Also amazing. I do suggest reservations because it does get busy.

The Mozen restaurant is very nicely decorated with a peaceful ambiance. And, it did not smell like smoke. Thank goodness was! Our server, Bertha, was very nice and totally on the ball. The Kung Pao was a 4/5 as well as needed salt and the pow. And my beef and broccoli was well... Luke warm and the sauce on top thick. No, I was not going to send it back. I ate what I could and that was that. All in all though we did have a nice experience and we would go back. Recommended to try.

After a decent outing at the table games. I decided to use my comp here, and wow glad I did. Menu leans more Thai but I went with the combo fried rice and orange chicken to go. Big portion, orange chicken on point...crispy, sauced just right, not too sweet. Fried rice was the star though, loaded with plump shrimp and Chinese sausage that gave it that extra kick. Everything packed well, tasted fresh, and felt worth it.

After driving in from Los Angeles, it was a pleasure to find a decent place to eat inside the casino. Very pleasant interior with high ceilings and service was very friendly and professional. Accidentally walked in through the bar instead of restaurant front area but the hosts made a joke and we were given a choice of tables. Waitress checked on table at least 3 times, busser refilled water, and manager greeted us. Started with the steamed shrimp dumplings. Nice plump shrimp filling but the wrapper was a bit thick and the sauce at the bottom didn't enhance the flavor. I asked for some hot sauce and the Sriracha like choice helped. Got beef chow fun which was generously served, but the beef was tough and it had no wok hey. The hot sauce helped this dish too. The garlic green beans were very nicely done with fried garlic and chili crisp, with a bit of sweetness in the sauce. Again a very generous serving. Prices were reasonable for all three dishes the total was $60 including 20% tip. Would go back and try some of their other dishes like the soups or fried rice.

For appetizers, our favorites were the crispy ginger green beans (so flavorful and tasty!), the hand-rolled crispy egg rolls (yum!); and the crunchy tiger shrimp spring rolls (freshy and tasty; liked these better than the poached shrimp spring rolls or mango spring rolls). For entrees, our top favorites were the (1) chicken protein bowl w/ fresh seasonal vegetables in a delicious sauce w/ a touch of chili oil and tamari soy sauce; (2) the sweet tamari glazed salmon w/ wok fried rice noodles nad peanut tamarind sauce; and (3) the pad thai trio (w/ pork, chicken & shrimp). The tiger shrimp vermicelli w/ shrimp wontons (like a crispy egg roll), was good, but not the best I've had; noodles were thicker than usual. The spicy red curry ramen w/ pork belly had a very flavorful sauce, but the coconut broth made it quite heavy. The Vietnamese crepe w/ pork & shrimp was good, but had too many bean sprouts. The Fried Chicken was good, and very generous portion, but had a lot of breading and bones. Next time would like to try the pho. We started with the pan-fried pork buns, shumai, crystal shrimp dumplings, xiao long bao, and cartoon sweet custard buns. Everything is made from scratch in their kitchen, which got us excited right away--so many places just steam frozen items and the freshness just isn't there. There's a big window into the kitchen so you can actually watch the chefs making each item specifically for you. The decor inside is trendy and really adds to the experience. There are flowers on the wall that are actually sewn with thread creating designs--unlike anything I've seen before. The seating is all in great shape and not neglected at all. Each table is stocked with soy sauce, black vinegar, chili sauce, and garlic. The staff is friendly and attentive. There's a giant projector screen that comes down along the wall with a projector and LED lighting throughout. I asked and they said they can do karaoke, and they also played World Cup games on it. There are several TVs playing various sports as well. Pan-fried pork buns - 10/10 This was my first time ever having them pan-fried and I'm glad I listened to the waiter's suggestion. That wasn't the case here at all. Perfection wrapped around shrimp. Xiao long bao - 10/10 I've had dumplings at places like Din Tai Fung, and I honestly believe these are better. The broth inside was bursting with flavor and the exterior was fresh and made perfectly. I'll be dreaming of these. Cartoon sweet custard buns - 9/10 These were delicious and so cute. The only thing I would have changed is giving the inside a bit more custard (personal preference--some people might think the balance is perfect). The rest of the bao was cooked perfectly, so soft, and the design made the experience that much more memorable. I highly recommend eating here. Now, I only ordered the Vietnamese style Egg Rolls. I got 2 orders of them....they were definitely worth the wait!! I can't wait to go back to Pala JUST FOR THESE DELICIOUS EGG ROLLS!! Best I've had in California and I e been here for over 26 years!! Great job on the food! Thank you for that lovely experience!!

Large Chinese-themed banquet hall with open kitchen and wrap around video screens with animated Chinese imagery. Would love if this was the permanent location! Noodle dishes were excellently prepared and they had lots of dim sum options as well. Live seafood tanks with lobsters, shrimp, and others for those looking for fresh seafood. Food was very solid, particularly by casino standards and would definitely eat here again. There were lots and lots of staff - most badges showed they were from China - and they were super attentive. Was a great dining experience and more than I would have ever expected from a casino, especially outside of Las Vegas. Strongly recommend if you enjoy good Cantonese-style Chinese food.

There always seems to be a bit of a wait, but no waiting at the huge horseshoe bar where all food is served. Why wait? It's the best service of all with your friendly server right there. What's not on the menu? My gambling buddy and I ran the gamut from chicken wings to burgers to pancakes. No complaints about any dish. Reasonable prices for a hotel restaurant too. When you've lost every dime to the slots, every bit helps. If you are not already a member, join the free Morongo players' club. Ten percent off your restaurant check, hopefully that will not be your only win of the day. Good luck!

The food took exceptionally long to arrive to the table and when it did, one of the meals was missing. They said it didn't make it into the system. The server offered a soup or salad while we waited for the last meal. Once it finally came, everyone else's food was cold since we waited so long. No refills on our sodas, expect one when my husband had to ask someone for a refill. When the bill came they still charged us for the $29 pasta that was made 20 mins after everyone else's food and when I asked her to take it off she said no because the free soup was already a free meal! but a manager approved it getting taken off. Usually we always enjoy our time here and the food is usually great but this time was awful! What a waste of $120.
