The menu shows promise, but if you're considering the Ginger Fish, think twice. The dish features Orange Roughy--an Australian white fish known for its delicate texture--but Basil Thai envelopes it in a thick, orange-flavored batter more reminiscent of an Orange Chicken glaze. The coating triples the perceived portion size, yet overwhelms the fish entirely. What should be a light, flaky fillet instead presents as a bland, gelatinous protein relying solely on sugar and starch for character. On the brighter side, the Pad See Ew was excellent--balanced wok heat, solid seasoning, and well-executed noodles. However, the beef option was notably under-portioned, perhaps three ounces at best. For context, that's well under a basic quarter-pound burger, yet priced north of twenty dollars. In short, Basil Thai demonstrates commendable flavor profiles and generous chicken portions, but consistency remains an issue. Skip the Ginger Fish, temper expectations for beef dishes, and you'll likely enjoy the rest of the menu.

Decent lunch special deals. The pad thai was pretty good although it came with rice which is weird for me with noodle. Bit of a carb overload. I've never had rice served with pad thai. I'd probably just get the regular order of pad thai or another item if I returned. It was tasty. The service was nice and it's a cute clean option for thai in La Quinta. The rest of menu looks good.

I always feel welcomed upon entering and the service is always great and attentive! The restaurant itself is spacious and easy to get around, with some TVs playing live games. We ordered the Tom-Yum soup and Pad Thai today. We usually order their Papaya Salad and Fresh Spring Rolls as our appetizers but we decided to order something new! The Tom-Yum soup is good, but I do believe it's missing some tart/sourness that you'd taste in other traditional Tom-Yum soups, however it's packed with lots of chicken and mushrooms, so that's an A+ in my book! And of course the star of the show, the Pad Thai. You can definitely taste the authenticity of this dish here, it's sweet, savory, nutty, and very aromatic! It was also nice and smoky, you can definitely tell that it was cooked on a wok. They are very generous with their portions as well. All in all, love this place, if you're ever craving Thai food, and you are nearby, My Thai should be on the top of your list :)

First, I eat pho all over the world, sometimes several times per week. After two back-to-back…read moreorders, this is now my favorite pho spot ever, and the only problem is that I live more than 90 minutes away. The first time I ordered takeout, and actually ended up not eating this until the next day. Everything was delicious and the broth reheated well. The portions are HUGE - I usually order an extra serving of noodles and still don't get as much as this standard order. Same with the rare steak - it was double the amount I usually receive, and my meal was $20. The broth is flavorful and clear to slightly cloudy with a rich amber color - just like fresh, homemade bone broth should be - broth had just the right amount of fat and collagen, which is expected and desired. Flavor was on point with warming spices and just the right amount of salt. All items were boxed separately, including a nice portion of cilantro and chopped white onion. The package of add-ins contained a ton of bean sprouts, large slices of jalapeno and a big bunch of fresh, tender Thai basil. I enjoyed the dish so much that I returned the next day and ordered the same meal, although this time I asked for extra lime because I enjoy the extra brightness that citrus gives the soup. My broth had cooled a bit on the journey home, so I warmed it in a measuing cup and found that the portion was a full 3 cups of broth. Again, the noodle portion was 3x what I typically receive at any other restaurant, and the meat portion was also huge. I asked for extra limes and received about 6 wedges in a separate bag. All of the other add-ins were the same as before, fresh, flavorful, and high quality. Both days the food came out in less than 10 minutes. The service was less friendly than some, but I don't expect a lot other than the food to be good. This is likely a family-run business, not a franchise that makes chicken sandwiches. My order was 100% perfect both days, the food was exceptionally good and the portions alone are worth it if you're hungry (I actually had more than I could eat in one sitting both times, and that is not normal for me when eating pho).

I was so incredibly impressed with Da Chef Noodle, I felt actually giddy joy when discovering it existed and then even more excited once I learned the food is as good as you think it is going to be when you walk in. My first fortune cookie read: You are in the right place for something unforgettable. And boy, were they right! The roast pork was sweet, tangy balanced perfect with salty. The walnut shrimp might be the best I've ever had and I've lived all over the world. Typing this now, I can't wait to go back. I'm new out here to the valley and didn't expect to find such incredibly delicious Chinese food. So grateful for this find!

I've been several times, the first time about 3 weeks after it opened. Didn't write a review then, or did I? Anyway... It is about the size of a Starbucks lobby, complete with standard decorative restaurant applications. There's a couple of tables and a half dozen booths to sit in. Soda selection is limited, and they do have a few adult beverages there as well. I don't drink, so I usually don't check out the drink menu. Not to make the staff seem too stereotypical, but as soon as I heard the yelling in the kitchen, with the language of the natives, I knew from the first visit, this was gonna be at the very least, a tasty meal. This visit was not a disappointing one. I ordered the potstickers, and an order of combo lo mein. Very good and very filling. And all the flavors were very authentic. I will say the service is hot and miss, but only because the language barrier is somewhat thick. But, I really don't need to ask for anything else past the meal being set, because that's ultimately what matters, in my opinion. As long as we communicate, the plates and cups aren't thrown at me, I'm a happy camper. I feel like this place is a little more popular for take out, but I think it is also worthy of a sit in meal. I'm having the duck next time... Thanks!
