THAI HOUSE RESTAURANT @ PALM SPRINGS Parking is tough in downtown, but there is street parking alongside. I'd also recommend routing to the Rowan Hotel, there is a huge plaza for 3 hour free parking every day, it's the best and we parked there! My friends and I were walking around downtown Palm Springs and decided to stop by this Thai restaurant. They had their menu displayed outside with classic dishes like Pad Thai and fried rice that looked super delicious, so we decided to give it a try. We chose to sit outside since it felt more lively. The inside is a bit older and not very renovated, more of a small, family-owned spot, which adds to its charm. If you can, I'd definitely recommend sitting outdoors for a better atmosphere. I ordered the Pad See Ew, which was around $20, and my friend got the duck curry for $27. The food came out within about 10 minutes, steaming hot and freshly made. My Pad See Ew was incredible, the noodles were soft and flavorful, the chicken was tender, and the spice level was just right. The quality was great overall, and I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Palm Springs. Prices are a little higher since it's located right on the main street downtown, but the portions were generous. The service was decent, our server didn't check in often, but she was kind and welcoming. One small note: when my friend asked for a to-go box, one of the staff members asked if she didn't like the food, which felt a little awkward. Just something to be aware of if you plan on taking leftovers home or sharing a dish. Overall, the ambiance was clean and pleasant, and it was a lovely spot to enjoy a meal. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Great family owned & operated spot! We started with the papaya salad & fresh spring rolls. They were very fresh and amazing with great dipping sauces. I had the garlic chicken and found it to be perfectly cooked. Very little oil and grease. The owners were sweet, offered impeccable service, and very kind. We look forward to returning!

Love this spot in the heat of downtown Palm Springs. Family owned with authentic Thai flair. Highly recommend the spicy noodle entree. Friendly, attentive service. Clean setting with patio seating also available.

We truly miss our hometown Thai restaurant...and The Thai House restaurant hit the nail on the head...from the cozy, friendly ambiance, the obviously loyal customers and warm and friendly service. The Food was served hot fresh, and very timely. While the food was delicious, we found the owner to be friendly interesting and engaging. It was a busy Thursday night and we arrived before things started ramping up for the Street Fair. We might have lingered a bit longer, but a wait line was forming outside. Be warned ..inside there are perhaps 6-7 small tables, few more outside, although takeout is an option. Go early or plan to wait a bit. It's worth it.

Tiny little place on Palm canyon blvd. You can park in the structure for free and walk over. We got the angel wings and Penang curry and pad see ew. Great service the servers were attentive and kind, he even came by to make sure we were ok with pork in the angel wings before he served us.

I visited Thai House Restaurant on a Thursday evening with a group of 4 of us. We were quite hungry from a long day, and this restaurant looked to be the place to hit the spot. When we arrived, there were only 4-5 tables with customers sitting at them. None of them had food, so I guessed that they were all about to be leaving soon. Since we were starving, we thought this is perfect! We will get our food so quick! This is a pretty small mom & pop restaurant, the type where you have to walk through their kitchen to get to the restroom in the back. Our servers and the staff were very friendly & courteous. They came, took our orders, and got our drinks out pretty quickly. And then things took a bit of a turn for the worse. I watched as food started coming out of the kitchen to see that those 4-5 tables were all still waiting on food. Dishes were coming out very slowly. It was as if the kitchen team worked on one table at a time. It took approximately 1.5 hours before our food ever came out. As it came out, I asked the server about possibly ordered some food to go, and how long it would take. She said "1 hour." The food was not bad at all. In fact, I'd say it was really good. I guess I just expected the food to be a bit more impressive given the amount of time they took to prepare it. There were two people in the kitchen, so maybe this was just an off night or they were short handed or maybe they just got a lot of orders in at the exact same time. I'm not sure. But overall, an excessively long amount of time waiting for food. It's worth a visit, but I'd just inquire about the possible wait time prior to ordering.

We went here on a Thursday night, which was during Villagefest. So it felt busier than usual. We ordered the Thai fried rice, spicy fried rice, pad see eww and Thai basil. The food took about hour to get out. Everything was hot and fresh. But my fried rice was ok, it was slightly mushy. Everything else tasted pretty good. My friend actually wanted to order something to go, and they said it'll be an hour wait. Nah. No thanks. The restroom though, was not ideal. To access it you have to go through the back, past their front counter, it almost felt like you were going through a kitchen. The door is very tough to open, you almost have to use your shoulder push inside. Only 1 of 3 light bulbs work, so it felt like a horror movie scene. A restroom should never be dim. Overall, the was experience is was ok. I wouldn't come back, because didn't have any WOW factors.

My new PS favorite Thai! This is a small restaurant and easy to pass by. Thai House Restaurant is located next to Las Casuelas Terraza just to give you a point of reference. There is indoor and covered patio seating that faces the mountain (out of direct sun). The menu posted outside does not have prices which I thought was interesting. The curry was $16.95 and seafood combo was $23, just to give you an idea of pricing. Beer, wine and sake is alcohol menu. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic and portions just perfect. Just the right flavors and spices. The vegetables were cooked yet still crunchy which I love. We'll be back!!

There is certainly a wait on a busy night if you don't have any reservations. It was on the main boulevard downtown and the locals there all seemed to look at us and stared as if they'd never seen any other rac3 other than their own. We were clearly visiting and it was our first time. The people in the area and in the restaurant just looked and it felt awkward. We put our names down and waited. We stood there waiting for a while and the host didn't execute their job correctly. I saw parties coming in that were given tables before us. They sat others before us. The people literally just walked in and got a table meanwhile we were standing outside and noticed that. We mentioned this to them and we finally got a table. I also noticed that other rac3 like m!norit!es here end up waiting me awhile the others seem to just waltz in. The food was alright. They said they noodles had no fish sauce but it clearly tasted like it did. The portion was a lot but for the price it was a bit high. We asked for chili and they said they didn't have it. What Thai restaurant doesn't have chili? Lol I think they were lazy. There was also a creep sitting behind our table that positioned himself to sit in front on the sidewalk and gawk and stare at women the entire time which made us feel uncomfortable. He sat there longer than we dined in and was still there when we left. The staff kept asking him if he needed anything because he as camping. They eventually tried to give him the boot by giving his receipt so he can pay and go so others can use the table. He was staring and looking at women passing by and gawking for a LONG TIME turning his head 180 from left to right. Overall just an awkward experience all around. Too pricey, overrated, service was mediocre, needs improvements. (also, parking is horrible, so find one that's public inside the block, parking lot or side streets).

On our journey to Palm Springs my team left the food choices to me since I'm picky. Lol. We showed up on a Wednesday night (note that they do not open Monday and Tuesday), around 4:40 PM. There was already a long line of individuals waiting to get in. There were about 15 people ahead of us. At opening, we were immediately sat down into the second dining room to the right of the restaurant. It gives a different vibe than the main room with its red bench seating and lantern ceiling. Although the benches were high, and the tables were a little low, we managed. Of course, we tried the complementary congee. Which I love, but my colleagues were not a big fan of. We ordered the calamari and the crispy beef noodle. We also ordered the shrimp and mango spring roll, the softshell crab and green papaya salad, and the pork belly lettuce wraps. The shining stars, for my colleagues were the calamari and crispy beef noodle. Followed by the shrimp and mango spring rolls and the softshell crab. The three of us did not enjoy the pork belly at all even though it came recommended. We actually only ate 2 pieces. The food overall was good although we wish we didn't get the pork or at least stuck to our goal of four main dishes. The waitress recommended we get one more and that's when we added the pork. Next time we will go with our gut instinct. One thing that was disappointing on this visit was that when we ordered drinks, one of them came out in a can. We were under the assumption it was a draft pour. For $14 it should have been noted that it is canned. The way that it is written into the menu no one would assume otherwise.

We placed a large order in advanced online, ample of time for them to make. Upon arrival, our food was nowhere to be found. Apparently it was grabbed by someone else by mistake or on purpose. My question is, why does this establishment place their online and phone orders by the doorway? The orders are placed on a shelf by the door and food that have been sitting there can be taken by anyone. Supposedly, we were told that it wasn't the first time it's happened. That is has been happening lately that people have been grabbing food either by mistake or taking them. Why now are they doing anything about it? Why didn't they fix that issue when it happened the first time? This is the first time I've ever seen any food spot place togo orders by the door that way. I'm not sure if it's laziness or that's more efficient and quicker for them to get rid of the order. That's a huge problem right there. Anyone can take food by mistake or just plain steal them. This place is small. The staff should have delivery personnel come up to the register and ask for the orders. It's not that hard. All orders should be behind the counter. Apparently a delivery guy came in there and grabbed an order then proceeded to take our bag as well. It's a logistics issue that shouldn't even be a concern. They did fix the problem but we had to wait for them to remake everything all over again so we had to wait again. We the customers had to ask them to accommodate us and have them solve their problems. The staff are young people. They were nice about it but I suggest better service and be more attentive and quick. It was an $80+ order and the food was alright. Expensive and was mediocre. Need more flavor on most and the position could be better. Overall, they did fix the issue, but this place needs to do better.
