Wow can't believe as a local we didnt know about this place! Seriously the food is sooo good. Tastes like its made with real love. We came back a week later. We dont go out to eat alot so that says alot. The butter chicken is absolutely ridiculously deliciousness. The fire chicken was delicious. Its a cute and quaint place. Kinda hidden, but worth the find! Service is great, the food is amazing. I have been a few times and have never had a bad thing off the menu. Good food takes time. Remember these words before coming in and you'll have a wonderful experience. The staff did their best to get us seated immediately and then came over to hand us a menu a few minutes later. The server was kind and apologized for the wait but it was understandable as most of the tables were full. We ordered a chicken with soba noodles as well as the soon tofu soup and two hot teas. Overall all of the food was tasty and you could tell it was made to order if I had to give a word of caution is that this is NOT fast food and if you're in a rush it's not for you. But we were happy to sit and take our time while we waited. It's clear that the kitchen takes their time preparing each plate they serve. My sister noted that the kimchi was mild and had little to no spice but was still tasty. We suspect this is due to the local taste buds not being able to handle anything too spicy. Finally tried this place & it was worth it! I got the sweet heat Korean fried chicken & a iced Thai tea. Both were really wonderful. The chicken had the perfect crispy texture, even with being covered in sauce. The sauce (to me) is not actually spicy, but pleasant. I could've definitely gone spicier if I really wanted to. Their Thai tea was creamier than I was expecting, quite delicious & something I know I can drop in to get when I'm craving it. The staff was polite & helpful. After getting lost on an oasis hike, we decided to stop by here to wet our whistles. We were greeted by the friendly staff and sat quickly. We got a pitcher of beer and soju. Boy did it hit the spot. We already had food waiting for us back at the hotel, however their menu looked great. I was sure to bookmark this spot for next time as their menu seemed promising. Space was small but comfortable. I really wanted to like this place! First of all parking in front of it was full. I had to park behind where the Goodwill drop off is. I pre- ordered online. It was easy to place the order. I picked up my food after 5pm on a Thursday evening. There was one guest in the dining room. The guest was friendlier than the staff. My food was sitting at the counter. The ambiance of the place is small and quaint. There's outdoor seating too. I ate my food within 15 minutes of picking up. I did not get their Korean Fried Chicken because I wanted to split a meal with my husband. His favorite dish is the Katsu chicken which is what we ended up ordering. The chicken was the flattest, driest, katsu chicken I've ever had!! What a disappointment. The salad was the best thing they have. The dressing was good. I also got the Cheese rice cake korean corn dog. It was too expensive for what I got. I bit into it and I do not know where the cheese was. It was cold on the inside. The rice cake was cold and hard as a rock. The exterior was dry and at certain parts, I couldn't even chew the thing. I was highly disgusted by the whole thing. I don't know if what I ate had any cheese in it. I have had korean corn dog and this was the worst. Go to Mochinut, they are way better! Had time in between appointments and hadn't eaten so wanted to try somewhere new. Especially since I was going by myself. It gave me a chance to catch up on some writing. Either way, my experience I would say was alright. I got there, on one there. No problem, sit anywhere. Ordered my taro milk tea while I looked over the menu. The place was nice and I imagine the feel inside when it's really busy must be different. It's small so it's more intimate but that's a good thing. I noticed from the menu, this isn't really a good place to go for just one person. If you want the chicken or appetizers but you are by yourself. You are just better just getting one. Simply put, I got the fire chicken. It had some kick but I wouldn't deem it spicy, let alone fire. A good portion, good quality meat, just not really worth the price. Why I think this is best to go with multiple people so you can try different flavors. Portions aren't crazy for the chicken plates. Which also comes with a rinky dink salad. But I imagine it's the culture, normal portions. Like I said it was good and my experience was alright. Wasn't bad. I don't drink anymore but they have a decent drink menu that'll keep you in a good mood. Last note when I was there waiting for the check, people started showing up. 3 different parties, different sizes. Great food, great service!! Started out with a delicious Thai Iced-tea and Korean Corn Dog (no hot dog. Cheese inside), but very tasty! I ordered the sweet fire fried chicken; so good! It's small bite-sized pieces of chicken battered and fried then sauced. The sauce is a good combination of sweet and spicy. Comes with rice, fried rice cakes (almost the consistency of mochi, but not sweet) and a salad. The rice was cooked perfectly, easy to grab with chopsticks. The salad comes with a light vinaigrette dressing. The service was great; thanks Isaias! He gave great recommendations and the right amount of attention to see if we needed anything. Only two negatives-parking, it's a little tough with the bar next door but go around the crone and you'll be okay. The portions could be more. There were two other parties when we came in. There's music playing on a tv to help disrupt the other's conversations so you can focus on who you're with. The employees checked on us just enough and not at awkward times like when our mouth was full. The food was good. I forgot to take a picture of our main dish which was the sweet fire chicken it was just the right amount of spice and sweetness for me. It came with pickled radishes on the side, a small potion of white rice and a few pieces of fried rice cake. It was first introduced with their house salad which was light and even the dressing was not overbearing, they paired well. Our dessert was Hotteok with Green Tea Ice Cream and I really enjoyed it. The Hotteok was a nice consistency and was sweet and tasty. I used it to wipe up the melty green tea ice cream. I'm not quite sure which Beech cocktail we got but it had blue curacao. read more

Came here to try the new menu after reading reviews on the re-visioning of the restaurant. On the positive side the concept is right for what a contemporary clientele would want in a market that has few if any authentic Asian restaurants. When we arrived the majority of the clientele was young and seemed to be really enjoying their food. We tried a cross section of the menu based on past reviews and what people seemed to really endorse. The Korean Corn Dogs would never have been on our radar except for reviews. I can understand why people like it. Hits a lot of the taste palates and textures. One order has two, but we cut them up and a bite is all you really need. We had one gluten free person and that made the menu challenging. Edamame and Jap Chae were really the only items he could order. They were passable, but because I can make Jap Chae in my sleep, it's hard for me to give it more than a passable grade. We also ordered the dumplings. The Kimchi dumplings were actually tasty and I enjoyed that more than the pork dumplings. My friends ordered a number of the fried chicken dishes. They seemed to have enjoyed it. I had the Beef Broth Ramen and I thought it was just ok. I admittedly am a tough audience as I come from cities where Korean Food is excellent. Since moving to Rancho Mirage it has been really hard to find good Asian food. Would I come back? I would have to think about that. Maybe for the Kimchi dumplings and I would try another Korean specialty. I thought the fried chicken was overly fried and overly sauced. We are excited to have our first Korean Fried Chicken in town. The menu has a lot of good choices, but of course we had to try the chicken. There are five or six sauce choices and we went with Honey Butter and Sweet Fire. Both are delicious. The chicken is mixed with some soft pillowy rice cakes and with that honey butter sauce, I could eat a whole bowl of them. We also got some beers, and they had some good choices. The owner recommended the right ones for us, and we thought it went really well with the chicken. I waited til my second visit to write a review, and I can say the second time our meal was even better. We split the Sweet Fire Chicken, the Korean Corn Dogs (which are filled with cheese... delicious, but don't let the name fool you), and the Korean Pancakes. The chicken came with a salad and rice. We loved everything, and it was fun to share so many different items. Big thumbs up to this place. They are just getting started but I think they are really crushing it. I had heard that the previous location had good food, but small portions, so I never tried it out. I belong to a Facebook group of foodies. Someone had posted some photos of this new restaurant, so I decided to try it out. Upon entering, I was greeted by a handsome waiter, in glasses. He brought me a menu and asked for my drink order. I asked for iced tea. The tea had a fresh-brewed flavor. Since I had seen chicken with soba, in the Facebook post, I decided to get that. I asked the waiter for a suggestion on the sauce. He suggested the sweet chile sauce. A few minutes later, he brought out a small dish of salad. It had iceberg lettuce, some shaved red cabbage, shaved radish slices, and thinly sliced cucumber. The dressing was light and savory. I actually really enjoyed the salad. When he brought out my entree, I was a little surprised. What I had seen posted didn't quite match what I got. This plate was on the smaller size. For the price, I was a little taken aback. However, I dug in. I was brought a napkin and a pair of chopsticks. I'm pretty good with chopsticks, but the thinness of the soba noodles and a flat plate made them a little tricky to pick up. The chicken was deep fried, maybe a little crispier than I like, but decent sized pieces. The chicken was tossed in the sweet chile sauce. The sauce on the chicken worked well. The sauce was also used to dress the noodles. On the noodles, however, I think it was a little too sweet. I asked the waiter for a side of kimchee. I felt like I needed something to cut the sweetness. In retrospect, I think a little lemon would have done the same. I thought the kimchee was delicious and it helped cut the sweetness. My ice tea glass was never empty, which I appreciate. There was a TV playing a playlist of popular pop music. I'm glad it wasn't too loud. There is a bar for eating or drinking. I overheard another waiter say that the concept was street food, beer and chicken, and ramen. I've never been to Korea, so I don't know what their street food is like. I noticed that the first two pages of the menu were drinks (alcoholic and otherwise.) Would I go back? Yes. I think the food was fine. I most definitely would try a more savory sauce. I would only go, though, if I weren't too hungry. There was a cash discount, which I appreciated. Because it is right next to a popular bar, you might have to park around the corner. read more
