YES! They have a Server Robot !
Kimberley K.

I'm not really sure I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for Korean food. I'm not a Korean food "expert "... but I'm SURE the flavors could be so Much MORE. Years and years have gone by whereby I've dined at various Korean restaurants all over the US and in Korea itself ... and as a non-Korean person I can say that I have a clue as to what these dishes are supposed to taste like. There is something missing in the flavor(s) profile here .... And I can't quite put my finger on it ( scratching head ) You can also smell it in the air when you walk into the restaurant .... It's heavy in the grease coming from the kitchen ... Come and taste the food for yourself .. maybe you can shed some light on it

Great little find. Large menu with lots of interesting things to try and prices are quite reasonable for the quality. Each dish comes with rice and five sides. I had the marinated beef which was very tasty. Love the robot server too.

Place is clean and bright. Japchae was good but very small portion. If you are only interested in BBQ this place is ok. They are not authentic as they are not giving you the lettuce to wrap the BBQ in. The Ban Chan was ok. Dumplings were dry and over cooked. Fried chicken was ok, a little heavy on the breading. Will have to think about coming again as it' has a limited menu of Korean food.

I ordered Suduabu with meat. This is the meat that you get for $20. Worst Korean that I have had in a long time.

No good. Not going back. Bon Chan is lacking flavor except for the cucumbers. Tofu soup was very small with indescribable meat bits.

This is our go to Korean place in the desert. The quality is quite good and we are from the Bay Area. The service is good and the place is clean.

Grabbed a to-go order.. was craving tteokbokki. First time here, smelled really good when I walked in and the hostess and quick to greet me me. My order was ready in 10 minutes I was pleased! The tteokbokki was a bit watery but flavor was there. I forgot to snap a pic but I also ordered the squid, it was very good. Next time I'd like to dine in!

Service was bad. We have to go kitchen area many times to order, ask something. Better hire more servers.

Uncle D's Smokehouse BBQ & Grill - The Best BBQ Brisket Sando & Tasty Mac

Uncle D's Smokehouse BBQ & Grill

This place is legit! I grabbed a combo plate plus a side of mac at the Palm Springs Thursday night…read morefair. The plate came with ribs, chicken, sausage, coleslaw, and potato salad. Everything was absolutely excellent! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, with just the right amount of tangy bbq sauce drizzled on the meats. Definitely try if you see the truck.

*Uncle D & Auntie V are Legit*…read more I take my BBQ & Brisket very seriously...and I'm thrilled Uncle D does too. So happy to stumble upon this lovely lively couple serving up their incredible BBQ food at the Palm Springs Art Museum commemorating & celebrating Juneteenth. Uncle D & Auntie V were so sweet & kind, they take their craft very seriously, and appreciate their customers. I had one of the BEST BBQ Brisket Sandwich's ever. And I've eaten & sampled my fair share. When I expressed I'm from LA and would drive all the way to Compton for the OG Bludso's BBQ & Brisket and Ribs with my BF, Auntie V's face lit up and says "I know it very well...and Darly is from Compton." When I told Uncle D, he expressed he knows Kevin Bludso personally...so I already knew I was in for a major brisket treat. After devouring my Sando in record time -- though I slowed down towards the end -- because I did not want it to end. I told my wife "I could eat 2 more of these." And speaking of which -- wifey's not too keen on BBQ like her hubby but can appreciate a great piece of quality meat. She took one bite (right smack in the middle -- which I suggested because it's the best bite :) and her response? "Oh my god...I could eat one of these." I've never heard her say that about BBQ Brisket. What makes Uncle D's Brisket so special? It's smoked & cooked overnight in a smoke-pit ~~ seasoned to perfection ~~ not fatty nor salty one bit...and don't get me started on the BBQ sauce that's not too thick & not too thin ~~ not too sweet & not too tangy ~~ it's simply perfection. And the bun too. This sandwich is so good you don't even need TEETH to enjoy because the mEAT is so soft & tender ~~ as perfect brisket should be. Following brisket consumption I went back to share my thoughts with D & V and when I said "not only is this one of the best I've ever had, it's better than Bludso's." D Looked me right in the eyes and softly said "really...seriously?" "Yes indeed" I said and he thanked me again. Then I told him "this section should be labeled: "The Art of Brisket" and D smiled at me so wide I can still see his happy face. Then we fist-bumped because he was wearing gloves but that Sando was so frickin' great I wanted to hug that cool bearded BBQ Master. Wifey had some of their Mac & Cheese and thought the noodles were cooked perfectly, it wasn't too cheesy & oily...and loved that it wasn't too salty. I took a bite and 2nd her notion. Checkout their website to find out where they'll be throughout the Coachella Valley. And make sure to confirm the location because their days & hours change during Summertime. Can't wait to find this hidden gem again...and next time I'm going to try their pulled pork and spare ribs too. And another Brisket sando or two :) {{{Big High Fives}}} {{{Fist-Bump & Hugs}}} Grandslam Huge Fan

This place is seriously beautiful. It feels like a little oasis in the middle of the desert. The restaurant itself great, but the outdoor space is what really stands out--lush greenery, water features, waterfalls, and a really nice outdoor bar and seating area. It looks like it would be perfect for events, but also just a really solid date night spot. We went on a Saturday night and it wasn't overly crowded. We didn't have reservations and had no problem getting in. If you sit in the bar area, they have a great happy hour (inside or outside), and we got a couple dollars off our drinks. There's also a happy hour food menu, but we ended up ordering the carne asada nachos from the regular shareables menu and they were really good. What stood out the most, though, was the service. We recently moved here from the South, and I've honestly missed that warm, genuine hospitality. Our server completely delivered on that. I didn't catch her name, but she was a brunette working in the indoor bar area--super kind, always smiling, and made us feel really comfortable! She checked on us often without being overbearing and just had that natural, welcoming vibe that's hard to find. Food came out fast, everything was smooth, and overall it was just a really great experience. We'll definitely be back and already plan on recommending it to friends!

I made a reservation for 12 people at Jackalope Ranch eight days in advance and specifically…read morerequested outdoor seating. I was told it wasn't guaranteed for a party that size, but that they would do their best to accommodate us--which felt fair. The day before our reservation, I received a call informing me that there would be no outdoor seating available at all due to a private event, and that the outdoor space would be limited to light appetizers only. We were told we would be seated inside. When we arrived, you can imagine my surprise to see multiple large groups sitting outside enjoying full meals. There was clearly outdoor seating available--one table of 8 and another of 10--and people were being fully served. When I asked the hostess about it, she told me those guests were "walk-ins." So somehow, people with no reservations were able to get outdoor seating, while our group--who planned ahead--was not. I then spoke to the event planner, Mary, who was extremely rude and dismissive. I asked her to explain how you have a party of 10 that can just walk in and be seated outside. Made any sense when you had a party at 12 who made a reservation who were forced to sit inside! She had absolutely no comment. It felt like a rule had been created that anyone with a reservation had to sit inside, while walk-ins were prioritized outside. That makes absolutely no sense. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told she was the event manager, and no one else ever came to speak with us. Completely unacceptable. We were finally seated around 7:40 PM, and the service was very slow. It took over an hour to receive our food, we had to repeatedly ask for water, and overall attention to our table was lacking. One staff member did try to be helpful after we had already been waiting quite a while, and our server improved slightly after we voiced our concerns--but by then, the experience was already disappointing. The food itself was actually better than expected--solid, but not enough to make up for the poor service and lack of organization. We are full-time locals and had high hopes, but unfortunately, this experience was frustrating from start to finish. Between the miscommunication, the rude event manager, overall poor management, and dismissive attitude, we will not be returning.

When we came in we were greeted by a very nice girl with Red Highlights in her hair. I would tell you her name but there were no name badges. We placed our order at the counter and proceeded to wait almost 45 minutes for our salad to come to our table. Our pizza came next about 10 minutes later and then one half of our order of wings came out about 4 minutes after the pizza. The other half came out about 2 minutes after that. If you're reading this and wondering if that order seems off, we thought the same thing. We ordered an X-Large Pizza half pepperoni and half cheese. We ordered an order of 12 Buffalo Wings mild and 12 Sheri-something wings.(Their signature wings.) We also ordered a large BBQ salad. The pizza seemed like the cheese side was a little thinner than the pepperoni side. This may be usual and I'm not sure because it was our first time here. To be fair I don't mind the crust a little thinner so this was okay. The flavor wasn't bad to be honest on anything we ate but nothing was super spectacular that would have warranted an hour wait. I also forgot to mention they were not busy. When we came in there were still several tables empty. Mind you it's not a big dining room. Going back to the service. They only gave us 2 plates to eat our food. We are a family of 4. When I asked for 2 more plates they never brought them back so I had to go ask for 2 more plates at the register. The plates they gave me were wet and the girl said sorry they just got washed. We also asked for Blue Cheese with the wings and got ranch. Not a big deal but the girl said she would bring the blue cheese out to us and we never got it. We just ended up eating ranch instead. We also used the restroom and the floors were slippery. Not sure how that happens but my son thought they were slippery because he had cleats on and I let him know daddy has regular shoes and I was still slipping. No idea why the floor was slippery. I just figured they didn't mop correctly? The girl with the red highlights was doing her best. She really was trying to do everything it seemed. There were several dirty tables of people who were eating before we got there and had left. I put some pictures on here just to show we weren't exaggerating. I'm not sure if this place was short staffed or this was a regular night but I can assure you me and my family would never go back. Not sure how this place had 4.3 stars but I would never refer this place based off of our experience.

We were there last Saturday night…read more When we asked for water, it was served in plastic cups because they had apparently run out of glasses. We ordered the fried onions, but they tasted completely processed -- all breading and barely any onion flavor. We also ordered four steaks, all medium rare. My son's steak and mine were cut so thin that it was impossible to cook them properly medium rare. My ribeye was especially disappointing, so I sent it back. About 20 minutes later, they brought another steak, which honestly did not look like a fresh cut of meat. Unfortunately, it was even worse than the first one. The manager took it back again, and by the time the third steak arrived, the rest of the table had already finished their meals. To my surprise, the replacement steak that was ordered medium rare came out medium well to well done once again. At that point, I simply asked to have it boxed up. This place may want to rethink its slogan -- instead of "Steak Done Right," it felt more like "Most of the Time Overcooked." What made the experience even more disappointing was that after all of this, the manager brought the check without removing my steak from the bill. On a positive note, the restaurant itself looks very nice, our server was excellent, and the hostess was awesome.
