Lots of choices and variety, the service is sometimes horrible and sometimes decent. Do not get the frozen wagyu, it's not worth it. In terms of seating arrangements, can be a bit odd. This review is mainly for the service, which was extremely slow. There were only five servers for the entire restaurant on a Saturday, and it definitely showed. Our table was missing a set of chopsticks, and although I asked the hostess for them, she never brought them. It also took 15-20 minutes just to get a beer. I asked for napkins as well, had to ask a second time, and finally received them about 45 minutes after I first requested them. Because of the poor service, I would not come back to this place. This is my absolute favorite Korean barbecue place to go out to here in Palm Desert. We love everyone there. They're always super nice food comes out quick unless it's really busy then it takes a little bit, but other than that the quality of the meat is really good whatever you order does not disappoint. I love the fact that they have a bunch of little sides. You can get make your own sauce as well. They always have amazing music playing in the background and at the end of all you can eat barbecue or hot pot if you choose that you get some ice cream to end an amazing time. However, today my family went to celebrate Juneteenth at our favorite restaurant, Blazing Kings. We had a waitress named Annette who wasn't very welcoming and ignored our table. She had us and three other tables wait an hour before coming back to refill drinks, broth and meat. She would ask us questions from across the room so we couldn't hear her. You also get to enjoy a scoop of ice cream at the end, which was delicious! The menu was a bit confusing at first but we figured it out. The server seems a bit annoyed at us when we either didn't speak up or had some accent in our English. I've enjoyed coming here in the past, but my last visit was far from pleasant. I came with my sisters and nephew, and we ordered both the BBQ and hot pot. Unfortunately, all the designated tables for hot pot and BBQ were taken, so they set up a portable stove on our table. While I appreciate the effort, the setup was cramped and inconvenient, especially for the additional $5 charge--it just didn't feel worth it. What really stood out, though, was the poor service. Our server neglected us the entire time, and it was by far the worst service we've ever experienced here. I hope this was just an off day for the restaurant, but it's hard to justify returning anytime soon after this experience. read more

I didn't really like it. I was looking forward to the banchan and the beef bulgogi is my favorite, unfortunately it fell short for me. My family and I decided to give this place a try since we have been dissatisfied with other local Korean bbq spots. We were so happy with this place. One of our biggest issues at other Korean bbq spots is that they only offer rice once and although we ask for more they never come around to getting us more or even sauces. Here they have a BAR yes I repeat a BAR!!! This bar you can get up and serve yourself anything at any time as well as fountain drinks without having to wait. This was definitely the selling point of us to keep going back when we crave Korean bbq. The food was delicious and the service was great everyone was really friendly and a delight. Overall we had a very good experience. We were greeted right away and also seated pretty quickly after we walked in. The food was tasty and loved the options in sauces and sides. Also the waitress and staff were really nice and friendly. Only issue I have is with the pricing for children, I feel it really should be based on age and not height, we paid full price for our 9 year old because he was 54 inches even though he only ate a little bit of brisket and lots of rice. I really wanted to like this AYCE Korean BBQ spot, but it ended up being a pretty disappointing experience overall. First off, the meat selection was surprisingly limited for an AYCE place. There weren't many options to choose from, and what they did offer didn't really stand out. Even worse, the marinades were not good at all, poorly seasoned & the meats tasted old. They do have a salad bar, but it's very limited and honestly not much of a redeeming factor. The lettuce didn't even have any dressing, which made it feel unfinished and not very appetizing. Another big letdown was the lack of variety when it came to sides. A good Korean BBQ spot usually offers a range of veggies and banchan, but here it felt very minimal overall. Service was also frustratingly slow. It took forever for the meats to come out, which really kills the whole AYCE experience when you're just sitting there waiting between rounds. This was our first time eating Korean Bbq. We enjoyed it so much that we ate Korean Bbq 3 days in a row at three different restaurants. Blazing King is our current favorite. My 5 year old daughter and I tried octopus for the first time. That was an experience. Our favorite meat was the brisket. The flavor was incredible. I couldn't get enough of the pickled daikon radish. Our only complaints are that we had to ask for water three times before our server brought some out for us, she didn't give us enough water for our party of 6, and this restaurant does auto tipping. One of our requirements for leaving a good tip is that our drinks are refilled in a timely manner. Instead of having the choice to tip based on the service we received, we had to give a required set amount. That's not cool. We'll definitely eat here again if we're ever in the area. Rude cashier and children got charged for adult price!!! Been there many times, food was great but service sometimes were good and many times were disappointing. One time our waitress actually demanded us for another 2 dollars to make it 20% tips but we haven't seen her lately . Another time it was on a busy Sunday, i understand it was busy but the waitress rushed us out when we only had 1 round of meat for the bbq. She asked if we were all good and ready for any ice cream. We then ordered another round of meat but it took over 15-20 to arrive and even came out with the wrong meat. The most disappointing is today, they actually charged 2 children adult price. I know they are half price because we've been here many times and we were even here last week. When we mention it to the cashier, she strongly said she pretty sure they are full price. Then we went to the front to measure and the oldest one is shorter than 52inches, which on the menu stated that 42-54 inches are half price, but she demand full price for her. After that she still wants to try the younger one but she was much shorter than 52inches so she had to do half price for the younger one. Mom, my husband and I were very impressed dining here tonight for the first time. We loved the salad bar, the spicy hot pot with a different bar, and we loved basically everything we ordered except I would skip the spicy sausage appetizer and maybe some sort of meat on the salad bar. I don't know why some people think it's expensive. I thought it was so reasonable. All you can eat bbq with salads, sauces, appetizers, meats, and desert for $28! That's a give away for all that food and it's good quality as well. Then you can add the hot pot with a different big buffet and meats for $4.99! That's unbelievable. We tried both just to see which one we liked better. Our favorite was the hot pot. We will just get that next time with the salad bar. How much can you eat??? It's a lot. Oh , and the spicy sauces and spicy hot pot was really spicy but you can also order mild as well. We also loved the great service by a few young pretty girls and really good bus boys as well. When we first came in we were sat down and then my parents had used the rest room and when coming back had stopped by the area to get your sides- we decided to do the one step up from the bottom which was $32.99 per person, when ordering the meats our waitress was rude/pushy trying to rush us ordering our meats. The meats we ordered wasn't the actual cut that they described. The pork belly wasn't even pork belly, it taste like the pork leg it was a little bit chewy. The brisket was a good staple you can never go wrong the beef bulgogi I am personally not a fan but my parents said it was not good, was not very marinated. The squid was good , totally a fan !
