My ice cream cake so yummy!
    Liceth P.

First time, but definitely will not be the last time from the moment we arrived. They greeted us and seated us promptly. Our waiter Winston was amazing. He was so polite and he knew everything concerning the food items. We ordered the octopus small plate as an appetizer and I ordered the lobster tails. My husband ordered the short beef ribs and let me tell you the food was delicious!!! My lobster tails were huge that was so unexpected and then they gave us a birthday cake ice cream, which was delicious. I will can't wait to return. Everyone is so polite and what I enjoyed too was that the food came out in good timing! What can I say? The decor is so nicely done. Everything is beautiful. We would've loved to sit outside, but it was a bit humid.!

Delightful dinner spot in the heart of Palm Springs. We were pleasantly surprised with the wonderful deal that the Sunset Special offered: $27 for an appetizer and entree from a set list! Such a good deal! I got the Caesar salad and chicken breast. The salad was perfectly fresh with real anchovy, which really made it a sold authentic dish. The chicken breast was huge and well seasoned. There was also table bread and an extensive dessert menu which we skipped this time but will explore next time. Going during sunset affords you amazing views and a stunning backdrop for pictures!

Great food, service, and ambiance. First and foremost the seafood stew was spectacular, I mean the depth of flavor without being overly salty or heavily seasoned. The fish, scallop, shrimp, and mussels were perfectly cooked. I had a little problem getting the lobster tail out of its shell, but still delicious. I was surprised that they didn't serve it with griled bread, I can't complain, we had so much of the sour dough. My wife had salmon caesar salad that was good with anchovie. The clam chowder was delicious and the sweet potato soup was good but needed a little bit more butter or cream. Overall, a great experience and it was great idea getting there early for seating. For a Sunday evening it was packed. They have outdoor seating as well, which was very popular. Our server was fantastic and was very sweet and kind. We did have a problem with the busser or buss boy, can't call them that anymore. He accidentally broke a wine glass from table next to us. It got very close to my leg and feet, it was a miracle that no glass shards stuck me. Anyway he apologized profusely and was careful. We really enjoyed our meal and wine glasses. They are known for there sweet salmon and Chilean seabass. The wine selection is huge and is avaliable on a tablet. The server suggested Cloud Nine a Pinot Noir and a Chandon Rose Sparking. Surprisingly very fresh seafood in a desert location. Glad we came in, cheers!

We dined here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Food was delicious and it was reasonable . Don't order the bread pudding, it was bad!!! Decor was nice and ambiance was also nice. Servers were attentive and fast .

First time here and we had an amazing experience. I started with a lavender lemon drop martini that was absolutely delicious. I ordered the half portion of sea bass and my husband had the strip steak--both dishes were full of flavor. The service was excellent, and you really can't beat the view!

    Oysters were delicious

The best oysters I've had in ages! Perfect little ones that slid perfectly in my mouth and a chili vinegarette sauce & horseradish that was the cherry on top. Upstairs, outdoor patio with white table cloth seating overlooking Paseo drive, creates a great ambiance. In late December, it felt like summer up there with all their outdoor heaters cranked up. Place was hoppin' even on a Monday nite. Scallops were tasty but clam chowder was just average. But those oysters man! Muah! I'm still salivating about them.

Finally got the opportunity to check out Pacifica after spending years driving by on El Paseo. Thanks to restaurant week. I was reminded of this spot and took the time to take myself out on a solo date. I called ahead to make sure I could get a table for one. The manager was extremely sweet and told me that was no problem. Arrived on time and was seated immediately at a balcony overlooking the El Paseo Street. Disclaimer it was very warm this day peeking at 100° however being a desert rat I was ready for it and will sacrifice AC for a little bit of a view this time. But if you are not used to this weather, I recommend requesting to be seated inside. The tasting menu featured a starter plus main entrée finished with a dessert. I arrived also during happy hour and was recommended a Mojito by my amazing server. She even put in a custom request for extra lime and grapefruit since I was feeling a little more zesty than usual and the weather was hot. Throughout the experience, my service was 10 out of 10 perfect with extremely tentative staff. My water glass never got lower than half full, and I was checked on regularly by not only my server but also what I imagine was a manager. Now, for the reason to knock off a star. I had the highest of hopes for this meal and the Caesar salad was very tasty as a girl who loves her fish. Personal preference I will ask for lighter on the dressing next time, however no complaints there. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp over rice, which came out a little less pretty than expected and appeared to be dry and overcooked however, I was determined to enjoy my meal. But much to my disappointment all of the shrimp were quite overcooked and extremely tough. The dish was well seasoned, and it looks like they put a lot of thought into it however I must admit I was disappointed and expected better from a seafood restaurant. I think my face showed how I felt as I was immediately checked by one of the managers on my meal if everything was OK. When I explained my issues, he was very apologetic and even offered to get me a new dish. I didn't want to waste anything, since I knew, I could take my leftovers home and my boyfriend would probably not notice once I reheated it. However, I know that for some people this would be an immediate no fly zone. When my server stopped by again, she offered me another entrée to replace the dry shrimp, but I told her it was as okay since I was mostly full and would rather just enjoy dessert. The Keylime pie was absolutely sublime, pun intended. However, here was my second issue of the date. Nearing the end of my Keylime pie. I noticed a strange gray gelatinous item on my plate. At first, I thought it was a piece of plastic, but upon further inspection, I was told it was a piece of onion that had mysteriously found itself onto the bottom of my dessert. Another small technical error. Once again, I was offered a new dessert as well as a drink to try to make amends for the chef error. At this point I was stuffed and knew that I really shouldn't have any more alcohol. The staff did their best to rectify all in any problems that happen during the meal. Hence, the reason why I will be returning again very soon. However, I would be lying if I didn't say there were some technical errors happening in the kitchen. I took a minute to refresh myself in the restroom, which was clean and well kept. And the manager made sure to discount my meal and my drink. After all of the issues I had experienced. Bottom line is the food missed the mark a few times but with a few tweaks here or there it could be great but I will really need to test it out a second time to have a better picture. The staff was absolutely wonderful and really doing their best to make sure I had a great experience.

A Truly Unforgettable Dining Experience! We returned to Pacifica yearly for our anniversary dinner. This year was extra special, and it was all thanks to our incredible waitress, Sam. Not only did she provide the best service we've ever had anywhere, but she went above and beyond by sharing thoughtful and insightful tips on local attractions and family friendly spots for our son. Her warm personality and genuine care made us feel not just like guests, but truly welcomed. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. The scallops are always to die for perfectly seared, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Every bite was a reminder of why we chose this spot, and the experience was elevated tenfold by Sam's recommendations and attentiveness. In a world where good service is rare, Sam reminded us what great hospitality looks like. If you're lucky enough to be seated in her section, you're in for a treat both in flavor and in heart. We'll absolutely be back, and Sam will be a big reason why. See you next year Sam!:) and THANK YOU!

Ask the Community - Pacifica Seafood Restaurant

Do they have a kids menu?

Hello. Yes we do have a menu for young diners. We hope to welcome you soon!

What is the dress code/appropriate attire? Are jeans acceptable?

Nicer jeans would be fine. Especially if paired with a top other than a T-shirt.

Can i take my service dog, an 8 lb chihuahua?

If the dog is indeed a "service animal," then they are required by law to let you bring it in. If, however, it is a "comfort animal," then no.

I'm using a Walker right now. What's the best place to park closest to the entrance? I know it is upstairs so there must be an elevator, but can't figure out best parking spot. Thank you in advance! :)

You can actually park on the second level of the parking garage, in a handicapped space, and not have to worry about the elevator.

    Do you offer happy hr?

    Yes...but it's busy..

    Do they have vegan options?

Not much. I believe the only vegan option is organic mixed green salad. The menu is posted on their website

    Are they open on monday?

Yes, and tonight they have call-any-vodka martinis for $8! See you there.

Do you have to show proof of vaccines to eat there?

We ate there on July 4th and we didn't need proof of vaccination

    Is there a dress code?

    I don't think so.

Is it possible to make a reservation for a month out?

    Yes

    Is there a kids menu?

    Yes there is 😁

    Is there a Happy hour?

Debbie, I'm not certain but I would guess they do. They do have a early sunset dinner-discounted dinners from 4-5 or 6??

Are pets allowed? I have 2 small Maltese

Yes, but you are seated outside near the entrance.

Can we bring our own wine?

I think you can, not 100% sure. Probably a corkage fee.

    Are kids allowed?

    Yep!

We discovered…read moreOceana Restaurant on the Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week website -- the Pulpo Chicharrones caught our eye -- so we decided to check it out. Thank goodness we did. Our group started out with the above mentioned Pulpo Chicharrones. Crispy Octopus bites served with fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, and flour tortilla chips. The octopus had a charred crispy exterior that gave way to a buttery-tender interior. None of the rubbery texture that so often turns people off. For entrees, we selected the Whole Fried Huachinango (Red Snapper), 7 Oceanas (think "Spanish Chioppino"), and Pan Seared Halibut which was the special of the day. The halibut special featured a very generous pan seared filet on a bed of white wine risotto with a sesame seed veloute and asparagus. The 7 Oceanas consisted of perfectly cooked octopus, white fish, clams, mussels, shrimp, salmon, and scallop in a rich broth with tomato, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, and guajillo peppers. Served with housemade telera bread sticks to sop up the amazing broth. The snapper was deep fried to perfection leaving the skin super crispy and fleah moist and flaky. Drizzled with an adobo sauce and served with grilled sliced lemons, chayote squash and baby potatoes. Our only complaint was the snapper was not true red snapper as advertised, but rather porgy (we think). Red snapper is one of the most substituted fish and very few people in the world could tell them apart. My partner Ernie is a connoisseur, and he can. The dish was still excellent, we just wish it wasn't advertised as Huachinango. This hidden gem delivered fresh seafood, tasty cocktails with a nod to tequila and mezcal drinks crafted by owner Marco Castellanos, and friendly attentive service from Gina.

Three large pieces of fish and potato wedges, everything fresh, also instead of coleslaw we were able substitute for a $1 more a small Cesar side salad. The dressing was good, very tasty. My daughter ordered off the regular menu, she got the Hawaiian Combo. This has salmon, mahi-mahi and grilled shrimp, teriyaki sauce and grilled pineapple, with sweet potato fries and a Cesar's salad, as her sides. She said everything was very good, except the shrimp was a little overcooked. We also ordered a side of cheese garlic bread, which was fresh and tasty, did not disappoint! We have been to the Palm Springs location as well, a few years back and we remember that location also having good food and we were closer to this location so we decided to give it a try. Our server was absolutely busting his butt trying to cover the entire dining room. He told us someone had called out, and it showed. He was taking orders, tending bar, running food, and doing everything he could to keep up. At one point, I even saw the cook dropping off food. We waited over an hour for a very simple breakfast. To make matters worse, their coffee machine wasn't working during brunch, which is kind of a wild miss. I ended up going to the bakery next door just to get coffee. The whole time, there was no manager in sight helping the staff or addressing the situation. I can only hope they were out trying to buy a coffee machine at Target. The bigger issue is that this doesn't feel like a one-off. I've dined here three times in the last two years, and every time I come in expecting it to be slow because staffing and service seem to be an ongoing problem. On a prior visit dining in the evening we were sat upstairs in what appeared to be in cheap event furniture they had rented last minute because they were over sold for the night. At least that is what our server shared and also noted staffing is an issue because the manager is trying to save money. Management really needs to get a handle on that, because the staff that do show up are clearly trying. A couple of notes on the space too: the oversized chairs in the dining room feel unnecessary for the size of the tables, and the tacky soundproof panels do nothing for the aesthetic. The panel nearest our table even looked like it had food splatter on it, which didn't exactly elevate the brunch vibe. Overall, Shorebird has strong food and a nice setting, but the management and operational issues keep dragging the experience down.

The food is consistently outstanding, and the service is always warm and welcoming. Mitch and the entire team are simply the best. Whether we're dining with family or meeting friends, it's always a fantastic experience. The crispy rice is absolutely to die for, and the oysters are a must-order every time. I always get the filet, and it has never disappointed--perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. The space is much larger than it appears, and the impressive wine selection immediately stood out. We were warmly welcomed by Mitch himself, which set the tone for the evening. We chose to sit on the patio, where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset--made even better when the staff kindly lowered the umbrellas so we could take it all in. For dinner, I had the sticky rice and the 808 sushi roll, both of which were outstanding, while my husband ordered the pork chop and loved it. To top it off, we were surprised with a complimentary flourless chocolate cake for dessert, and it was absolutely decadent. The service throughout the night was excellent, attentive without being overbearing. We even had the chance to say goodbye to Mitch and his wife on our way out, which added a personal touch. It's always special to discover and support a unique, locally owned restaurant like this

Crispy Rice was very flavorful and rice was very crispy, unlike other restaurants where it gets slightly soggy.
