Was a little disappointed...... The description of restaurant says casual, but restaurant staff was dressed very nice. Staff was friendly & all very attractive. Felt more like a Vegas bar/restaurant than Plano, TX. Wife & I ordered the potstickers, which the flavor was good, but they were not very warm. We split the oven roasted free run chicken. Rice was not fully cooked, the few veggies on the plate were oily & salty. The chicken was warm & chewy (like twice baked). Last comment is we got to watch some wait staff play a little grab ass. Not playing around, like literally grabbing each other's ass. I thought it was funny & it d/n bother me. Wife d/n find the same humor in it. Then a bar regular showed up. I like to call him Fred. After Fred showed up, it was a little challenging getting service as all the waitresses were too busy groveling over Fred. read more

We made a B-line for this place because of the Poutine and it did not disappoint. It was very cheesy and the gravy was super tasty. The Chef brought us the Poutine and chatted with us for a little bit even asking our names for when we return. We split the loaded hamburger and I can't say enough how good the layers of flavors tasted. We also had a Bloody Mary and Jalapeño Margarita which were delicious. The service was great, the decor is new and bright and we will definitely be back. read more

The location is perfect, not too much traffic. We sat outside by the patio and it was refreshing. I really enjoyed their music playlist, good throwback music. The food was ok, I need to try out other food on the menu. The serve was not attentive, we didn't get any water refills and we had ask for her to get out check. While eating a group of the waitresses came outside to take a selfie... instead of attending to our empty water glasses. I really want to come back and give Moxie another try. read more

I absolutely love this spot. I came in for the first time a week ago and the customer service was impeccable. My waitress, Myan, was attentive and recommended some great dishes. I loved the calamari and prime New York steak. If you're ever in the area, this place is a must to check out!!! read more

Myan was amazing! Her service was great and she was very friendly. This was a great experience, would recommend.

Been to this place in uptown for drinks and had a good time, so decided to try the new plano location. Food was awesome and the drinks were good too! Great vibe, we sat in the bar to watch college football. Will come back soon! I also snapped a photo of one of the employees, the guy in the gray coat, not sure if he's a manager or what but he was constantly checking on all the tables and helping clear plates. If he is a manager, I applaud him, you don't see upper employees in most restaurants helping like he was. read more

Food is good, service is fine 1 bartender (female)was not receptive. Had 2 glasses of wine and they did not change glasses on the second batch of wine since it was 2 different types. Overall the brand is good been to the one downtown Dallas. I do recommend coming here if you want to chill, watch sports of just eat. read more

Not bad Really loud but it is Saturday night at 8 pm Ordered house cab and it was really good Our server was excellent!!! Helped us with the menu Manager came by with husband's beer we asked for more chips but we never got them guacamole dip was ok very lumpy Ordered just apps Nachos were way too big! Would have been so much better if they concentrated on taste instead of how big it was ( 2 pounds)! Bar is big and nice calamari was good Nice place for drinks. Overall menu needs work Would give it a second chance or just to have a drink read more

It's a great atmosphere. Nice decor. Love that you have an outside patio. My second time there and the food is pretty good. I had the Salmon, which itself wasn't rich in seasoning but they paired it nicely with the rice and grains which was great! The vegetables were good and seasoned well. As far as the drink, I'm not a big drinker so I ordered a Shirley temple. Not the best, the soda was watered down. Overall, I believe it's a good spot to break bread with friends! read more

Stayed at the hotel attached to the bar so I thought I would try it. They have a nice bar ser up with alot of TV's. The service was great and they had alot of people working. We ordered the guacamole and it was pretty good. The drinks , A old Fashoned and BlackBerry Mule were about 12 bucks a piece. Only thing I didn't like is it seemed to be filled with alot of douchey men. Other than that the place is awesome. read more

Great Nachos, great service and ambience! Highly recommend! Try the Pineapple Basil Margarita!

This restaurant is beautiful and I bet it would be so much fun for happy hour. It seems like a great spot for drinks, appetizers or dessert. We had the hard lemonade and wine with the potstickers and that was all great. The entrees were just ok and really expensive! We would probably not be back for a dinner date here but we would come back for a before or after date stop. I had the Scottish Salmon and it was just ok and slightly undercooked. The hubs had the steak frites and he did not enjoy it. He also had the broccoli cheese soup and said that was ok. I will say the flourless chocolate cake was AMAZING. I asked for it with vanilla ice cream instead of the mint chocolate chip gelato it's supposed to come with. I would order that cake again and again and you should too! Service was great for us tonight. read more

Looked at the brunch menu online and decided to try it out. Nice atmosphere. The menu online is not the menu they actually have. There are very few choices on the menu for brunch. What really raised the red flags was the when we ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice for $5 and they served us condensed juice out of can, then made an excuse that they ran out of some things. I had specifically asked them if it was fresh squeezed orange juice and she said yes before serving me some canned junk. The thing that bothered me about this the most is that if they are going to blatantly lie about something as simple as orange juice then there's no way you can trust that they are serving the quality of ingredients that they say they are. The manager did come over after they were caught and said that she would cover the cost of the orange juice and offered us their lunch menu. We promptly got up and left and now this restaurant is off the list. read more

I have been twice to their downtown location. I am thrilled they have opened a Plano location now. The atmosphere is vibrant, hip and upscale. Decor is modern with a happening bar scene. Great place to watch a game. Food and service are excellent!! Menu also includes some exotic dishes. Don't miss the cauliflower appetizer. I took one star away coz the music is too loud in the dining area. Hard to have a normal conversation. Highly recommend the Madera chicken pasta dish too, especially if you ask them to spice it up. read more

I came here the other night with some colleagues after a stressful day on the job. We sat in the lounge and ordered some Brussel sprouts after our server Brooklyn recommended them. They were cooked to absolute perfection. Personally I am not a fan of Brussels but will definitely order them again here. My colleagues love Brussel sprouts and said these were the best they have had. The service was exceptional, Brooklyn was always checking in on us ensuring we were comfortable. 10/10 made the stressful day on the job better, we will definitely be back. Thanks Moxies for a wonderful evening! read more

Walked in with a reservation on Saturday at 7:30, but they would only sit my wife and I at a table for six. We asked for one of the open tables, but were told those were reserved and not available to us. I thought I had a reservation too? We were dressed nice, I had on a sport coat, so maybe we're just not their target customers at 50 yrs old. We tried the eight seater, wondering what having to yell our order would be like, but after 10 minutes no server even glanced at us. We left. No thanks. read more

Drove by Moxie's when we were in town for a conference and thought we'd give it a spin for dinner. First, the place is beautiful! Obviously, they paid a lot of attention to detail, even down to the restrooms. Definitely Instagram-worthy, if you're into that sort of thing, and the kind of restaurant I enjoy visiting. The wine list is fantastic, containing some of my favorites that I never see on a menu by the glass. The food was good, too. Love that there are options for many types of eaters/diet styles. The service/ambiance, however, was lacking. We went on a Monday night so football was on in the bar. Great! No biggie...except that there is no solid wall between the bar and the dining room, and it was SO LOUD! Initially, there was music on in the dining room, but after a man eating in there solo (who was obviously a regular based on his banter with the waitress and ability to call the shots) complained that he couldn't hear the game from his table, the music went off and the game ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RESTAURANT was turned way up! Obnoxiously up! There were three of us sitting in our booth and we could hardly hear each other. When one of us asked the waitress if it was going to stay that loud the whole time, she chuckled and said, "Yes, it's Monday Night." Yep, football's important, but Moxie's is not a sports bar, and no one should have to yell over each other to have a conversation. Our waitress also mocked my friend when she asked a question about something (uncommon) on the menu. She sighed and said my friend was the "10th person that day to ask what that is!" Honey, if ten people that day has to ask what it was, perhaps you shouldn't be so condescending and the menu should spell it out. I'd give it another try if I was in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

Food: 4/5 Service: 3.5/5 Price: 2/5 The food was good, but portion size is small and prices are high. This place is not a good value by any stretch of the imagination. Dropped almost $130 on 4 meals and no alcohol. When we mentioned this to the waitress, her comment was - the owners are Canadian. I don't know what that means, but there was no follow up from a manager to discuss anything with us, which seems like it might have been a good time for them to take the opportunity to get some feedback. Anyway, there are way too many places in this area that are a better value for similarly good food. We won't be back anytime soon. read more

Staying at Sandman hotel and ordered carryout from Moxie's. Received food with items missing. Called Moxies and asked if they could bring missing items to our room as it was their mistake. She tells us she doesn't have anyone that can deliver. I Walk back over to Moxies and she tells us the missing items were not included in our order but we could pay for them if we'd like. I pull up the menu to prove her wrong. She gives us the missing items with no apology. Not to mention they charged me $5 for a Coke while waiting on them to fix an order they messed up. I get back to the hotel and see her delivering food to another room. Customer Service is lacking these days. read more

Nice atmosphere and nice staff. Had a late night dinner and I have no complaints. Will go back next time I am in town

Was on our way to one of our favorite restaurants when we drove past Moxies and decided to try it out. Parking is a bit spares but of course there's plenty of valet parking if you want to pay for it. To start off it is very loud. The music makes it very difficult to talk to each other. They are playing at a dance club level. The lighting is also very bright. We are not accustomed to bars that have that much light. They could definitely dim it down a little. The service is OK. It's not lacking but it's also not great. For an area that has so many bars and restaurants, it could come across a little more personal to stand out. The drinks are really good. My wife had the strawberry ghost pepper margarita and she really enjoyed it. She's not much of a margarita person either. The food is her strongest point. Very good mix of flavor and the heat is perfect. We had the spicy tuna roll and the calamari. Both were excellent. However the tuna doesn't really look like a tuna roll but it was still good. My star rating really reflects the ambience. So it's worth trying. read more

This is one of my favorite places for lunch. Usually calm vibes & a beautiful venue. It is also a nice location for a date night. I've always loved their drinks & food. Never received anything I didn't like. While the staff of friendly, it always seems like there aren't enough staff members working. So usually, it takes me longer than normal to be seated & get my order in. If I lived closer to the area, I would be there a lot more often. read more

Terrible service and cafeteria quality steak . This is a sports bar decorated like an upscale restaurant but lacks everything that an upscale restaurant should be. I feel bad for the nice young lady who waited on us last night . The only thing I can guess is that she hasn't been trained by management. We saw other tables having the same crappy experience as us . The manager offered us a free app , free shots and a free dessert which I can appreciate but not enough to come back here to eat dinner. I will say that the Lettuce Wraps and Burger were both really good and the Key Lime Pie was possibly the best I've ever had . The Filet however was thin , low quality , overcooked and drenched in a sauce that isn't mentioned on the menu. I'd stick with Burgers and beers at the bar if ever visiting again . read more

I can't review anything but the service because we did not eat. We sat there for at least ten minutes before someone came to get our drink orders. My friend ordered a vodka pineapple short and a water, and I asked for water with a straw. The man came back with our waters and our straws were in his bare hands, unwrapped, and he reached over to put them down in our waters. Then the young lady brought a tall drink to my friend, and she reminded her that she ordered a short. She walked to the bar, poured the tall into the short class, and came back to the table with what was essentially pineapple juice from the top of the previous drink. My friend declined to drink it. When the male server returned, I heard him say he was new so I tried to delicately and politely tell him that we would prefer straws be wrapped or brought to us in napkins instead of in the palm of his bare hand. He walked around in circles with the waters, went behind our booth, and returned with "new waters"....he never switched them lol. At this point, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. I would suggest better training for the staff there, it was like they were all deer in headlights. read more

I am staying at the Sandman Hotel which they say is Four Star, but I would say barely a Three. This restaurant is supposed to be the hotel restaurant but it is such a crazy environment. It is like being in a club with music blaring. But let's get to the food. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was a brittle piece of chicken that was just covered with thick batter. I believe they trying to play this place off as upscale, but don't believe it. I ordered is beer and it came out slightly cold. The hotel should really evaluate if it wants this place attached to their brand. Those 4 stars are not going to last long. read more

I had the displeasure of ordering room service from Moxie's while I stayed at the Sandman Signature hotel. They told me it would take about 20 minutes to bring the food up to my room. After 1 hour and 15 minutes, and after 2 phone calls, I finally received my meal - which was cold. read more
