Might have been 4 stars if they had replaced the lamp they broke which they promised to do but never followed up on despite multiple attempts on our part. They were pretty slow but attempted to be thorough with wrapping etc. The crew was careful at first but then they got tired and just could keep up the pace or attention to care. Damages occurred due to taping things that shouldn't have been taped (tape applied directly to leather couch, the only thing I own worth anything) and breaking in the truck on the drive over. Movers were professional enough about logging the damages and providing us with a write up in the receipt but the office never followed through on any of the promises. This is a great moving company! They were very professional, easy to work with, followed up with everything, and the movers themselves were great. I had them move a piano and some boxes for my boss' dad, and not only did he think they were wonderful, the property manager where the piano was moved to said they were "a fantastic moving company." Mover Pros saved the day!! Maoz is the boss and kept in touch prior to the move to ensure we had enough time scheduled and if I needed help packing. Alonzo and Cesar did an amazing job and arrived on time. My hoarder status would've scared most but not these two. $70 an hour for 2 movers for 2 hours on the 4th floor with an elevator. These men have the spacial skills that I lack and played Tetris with my boxes and furniture with care. Very nice and a good sense of humor. All they really wanted was something to drink once in a while! I even tipped them extra because of the amazing efficient job they did!! I never NEVER write reviews. But thought I would for this company. I am subtracting a star because the price quoted over the phone was about $300 off. On the other hand they are much more affordable than most moving companies. Once my husband and I got past the annoyance of that, the rest was wonderful. The two gentlemen that helped with our move were absolutely wonderful. The came right on time. They were so careful with all of our furniture (everything was wrapped perfectly). From getting a quote dealing with melissa to moving day, these guys are fast to response and the 4 crew arrived at our house on time, worked fast, one guy wrapped furnitures and the other 3 started loading from bottom to top of their car, they know how to stack well in the car. I pre-wrapped some of my paintings and take down tv, etc to save time and money and they filled up the 28' truck in about 4 hours, then about 3 hours to unload. This company was recommended by a family who has used them twice in the past 3 years. Our move was very smooth and professionally done, the work by the movers on the day of the move couldn't have been better. My only quibble: the front office aspect could be handled a little better...sometimes the person answering the phone sounded like they picked up their own phone or were half asleep. I asked a lot of questions which I felt the front office shouldve asked because I had used a Van Lines to move across country so knew what to expect. In that regard, I guess you get what you pay for. Excellent service Hector and his crew did an excellent job. They were on time, polite, patient, and friendly. My 80-year-old mother has a bit of a handicap and they were so kind and polite with her. I thought she was getting in the way, but they were so nice and patient. And strong! Geez, they did an excellent job of moving our furniture for us - quickly and efficiently, and with also great care to not bump the walls or drop the furniture. They especially took the time to take things apart to be able to move it more effectively. They had all the right tools on hand to get the job done right. My mom and I were really impressed. I had an awfully bad experience. Worst part is after the bad experience was over, I have been repeatedly calling them over last few days and they have refused to take my calls. They made us pay for packing supplies we did not need or ask for. They packed other small stuff in wardrobe boxes n used only 2 of 5 wardrobe boxes for clothes. They were very slow so that they could be paid more - we were paying per hour. They were so slow that we had to come back home to carry out some of our stuff ourselves. The negative things are so many that it is hard to list. For taking stuff out from a 1 BHK apt, they took 5 hrs. Seeing other reviews, it seems that the experience depends on who all come - I have friends who have had good experience with pro movers. The management beware- if u think that by avoiding phone calls, u can suppress people from expressing their complaints, u are wrong. I would try to get the names of people who helped me move - so next time u call pro movers, u know who to avoid. Does anyone know if there is a consumer complaint forum I can go to when management company refuses to answer my calls? *********************** Here goes the 2nd part of my story. After posting the review, I got a call from Movers Pro in 1 hour and they asked me what I thought was a reasonable price they thought I should have paid. I got the refund back within 1 hour. The person also apologized that they could not take my phone calls and I learned that it was not a deliberate snub. WORST POSSIBLE MOVING EXPERIENCE!!! Let me start with the contract. Since it was late in the nite they charged me overtime which i agreed to pay. When signing the contract the MOVER gave a ridiculous pricing for 1BEDroom apartment move. Finally negotiated for 5hrs+extra to move. I asked the worker (Jonathan) to bring the truck inside the community but they decided to park it outside. In the middle of the move, one of the worker (Chucho) comes back saying that someone pulled up in a car and threw eggs on him and inside the truck. It was all over my TV box, and thankfully it didnt affect my TV. At this point they stopped working and not ready to work!!! I asked them to connect me to their supervisor and all of a sudden they started working. (RIDICULOUS) Since the contract said that they gonna charge me double for the driving time, JONATHAN was not driving more than 30miles per hour on the highway. Later when asked he mentioned that the ENGINE CHECK LIGHT was ON so he couldnt drive!!! (WHICH I THINK IS A FAKE EXPLANATION). By the time these guys were unloading it was already 2am and they only did a half the job and left!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE MOVERS. THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!! read more

I would absolutely not recommend Mover Pros nor will I use their services again. I was scheduled to have 3 movers at 11am on Saturday. I received a call on Friday (the day before our scheduled move day) stating that they were triple booked and that I would have to change the moving time to either 8am or 3pm. I was very upset with this because it was not what we agreed to. I had family driving 3 hours from out of town to help me move and this was a total and complete inconvenience. I agreed to 3pm and was given a $5 discount per hour which was pretty ridiculous. On the day of the move, the movers didn't show up at 3pm as scheduled. I received a text stating that they were at lunch and that they wouldn't be arriving until 5pm. I had my entire family waiting several hours for them to show up! At that point I wasn't sure if they were going to show up. They didn't get to my house until 5:30pm. Once they finally arrived, there were only 2 movers instead of the allotted 3 movers that I had requested. Furthermore, I needed at least 3 guys to be able to hoist a couch over a patio which I had told the scheduler from the beginning and she said it would be no problem. When the movers arrived they told me there was no way the 2 of them could hoist the couch so they wanted to re-schedule. I was so pissed off. I knew that 2 guys couldn't hoist the couch, that is why I scheduled 3 guys! There was no way I could re-schedule this move because I booked the truck and a new tenant was moving in the following day. Luckily I had my father and two guy friends that were able to help! Had they not been there, I would have been totally screwed! My family, friends and I moved the majority of my things while we waited for the movers to show up. It was the worst moving experience I've ever had and I wouldn't recommend putting yourself through that! I had 2 other moving companies that I could have gone with but I read the Yelp reviews and believed that MoverPros was a good option. Not so much! read more

BEWARE...this is a very unreliable company. I had an absolutely horrible experience with mover pros. The booking process was easy Christie even called on Friday to confirm my Monday move. Then the mess began...on Sunday movers call me and tell me that they're at my house. Problem #1 - you showed up to my house on the wrong day. I told them that the move was tomorrow morning. They apologized and assured me they would come back in the morning. Monday morning rolls around and the movers were supposed to get there between 8 and 9am and were supposed to call when they were 30 mins away. So 830 rolls around with no call and no movers so I call mover pros. The man tells me he's very sorry but movers aren't coming until 1-3p. Problem #2 - you blew off my move and didn't let me know so I could arrange something else. As I'm scrambling to try to get something else arranged the guy calls back and tells me that he messed up and movers are on their way they should be here any minute. Problem #3 - employees totally confused. I wait an hour longer and no one shows up. I call one more time and speak to Christie who gives me the number of Leon who was supposed to be the manager who has the most up to date information. He doesn't answer my call or text. Problem #4 - why are you telling me to call your employee when you should be taking care of it and letting me know what's going on. Finally I get a call back from Leon who told me they could come in 2 hours. By that time I had no confidence in anything they said (since I had already gotten 4 different stories) so I told them don't bother coming and booked with a company that was a bit more expensive but completely worth it to avoid the headache. I had a really positive experience with this company 5 years ago but too many changes have occurred. Despite assurances the new owners had addressed the complaints in recent years my experience was an expensive disappointment. The previous owners did not charge you for the temporary use of boxes (wardrobe, TV, framed art). Now only wardrobe is free and you are charged for everything else which meant that we transported framed art and two smaller TVs ourselves. The movers for the previous owners not only disassembled the TV/audio set up but they also completely reinstalled it in the new location so it was ready to go. The movers for the new owners couldn't even manage to set the large TV on the TV stand leaving it instead in the middle of the kitchen. When I went to set up the TV system the next day the Tivo remote was missing along with several cables. Some of my belonging were in a storage shed behind the house and despite numerous reminders that there was still stuff there to go back for they sailed off without a walk-through to make sure they got everything. Not only that they left behind my son's rug in his bedroom and left behind the bottoms of flower pots adding to all the extra moving we had to do of items they wouldn't touch. When it was time to pay the movers I learned that they are subcontractors to MoverPros, i.e., MoverPros subcontracts to anyone with a truck so there's limited accountability. The day after the move I did the final walk through of the old place and discovered everything that they left. It's costing me an extra $150/day in rent because stuff I needed them to move due to the size is still on the property. Despite numerous text messages and phone calls to them they have not contacted me to address this issue although they had no problem cashing my check. Would not use them again. read more

They did an in-person estimate to let us know in advance what it would cost, confirmed pre-move, then showed up on time (called a little early, in fact) to start the actual move. They packed up everything carefully and efficiently, and unloaded it in the new place as per our instructions. Everything arrived safe and sound. Booked these guys based on solid Yelp reviews and cost per hour. Weekday price, 2 movers, 26' truck is $85/hr. When I first moved into my unit, it was just me and a friend renting a small U-Haul box truck. Total move, 1 mile away, only took us 2 hours. These guys took 3.5 hours to move 2 blocks away! First, they were an hour late. We had informed them beforehand the importance of being ON TIME as we needed to book the freight elevator at each location. Didn't matter. Sorry we're late. Traffic from San Jose to SF was bad... Isn't it always bad? Second, they were very slow. Moving everything out of our small 400 sq.ft studio took 2.5 hours! This is just the first location. They still have to drive and unpack at the 2nd location. Get to 2nd location and due to their slowness I start helping. We unload and get everything into new unit within an hour. They then ask for a tip! Being an hour late, I expected a discount, not a tip request! Will not use again. Price seems great, but do not expect a punctual and speedy move. read more

When researching movers for our recent move, we reached out to a number of moving companies. Mover Pros was by far the best customer service to deal with and easiest in getting a straightforward quote and scheduling a last minute booking without a deposit. We decided to use Mover Pros for the big furniture items and to move the smaller items on our own to save time. So this review is for a 4 hour engagement from a 1 bedroom apartment on the third floor without and elevator to a 2 bedroom apartment on the third floor with an elevator. I'm always nervous to move bc I don't want to damage any of my furniture. But I can honestly say our movers (Charlie) did a fantastic job. They took every precaution - wrapped the couches, mattress, bed frame etc and moved them with care. It was genuinely a great experience. They even took apart and put back together our bed! They were also very professional and nice people. Charlie took the time to walk me through the contract which I really appreciated. The one thing I will add though is that the company does charge extra per mattress for the covers and if you're moving other items like a TV. We opted to just move the TV ourselves. But I didn't remember reading that prior - might have been my fault for not reading all the docs prior. Regardless though - all and all a great moving experience! Just used these guys to move today, and i must say, they are amazing! It ended up taking close to 4 hours for my one bedroom, but that was because I forgot to pick up the keys, which delayed us by about an hour and a half. Good: Two young men showed up exactly on time. I was not finished packing, and they were able to complete that process. They were prepared with materials, boxes and tape. I needed to get out of my apartment that day, and the goal was accomplished. Bad: They completely dismantled everything. They took the legs off of the dining room table. He wanted to dismantle my sideboard, but I managed to talk him out of it. Anything that was not cube-shaped was turned into a cube. Dressers were turned on their side and upside down (who does that?). I have moved several times in my life, and I've never seen anything like it. I feel traumatized for life. I'm still afraid to completely assess the damage. Thank God I had already moved most of the fragile things. And it was expensive! I hope I never have to move again, as long as I live. read more

They were polite, efficient and careful and never complained when they saw the large pile of "stuff" in the garage. I've used this company twice now and had a good experience both times. Had a ton of stuff to move and they (3 movers) got it done in just a little over 3 hours from start to finish. The movers worked very efficiently and wrapped all of our stuff (including a large glass table and TV's) properly so that nothing was damaged. They also made sure to ask where each item should be placed into my new home, I hardly had to do anything after they left aside from put away all the little stuff. A bit of advice: try to get your little stuff at least packed away in boxes beforehand, any other items that you don't want in boxes and that you don't want going along in the moving van, take it yourself. You can also get a bit of a discount if you pay in cash. Lastly, if you have any issues with their pricing (especially for "extra items" such as TV's), call up their main number and one of the employees will likely be able to help get you a better deal (as they did with me). read more

READ FIRST BEFORE HIRING MOVER PROS OR YOU MAY REGRET I would not recommend hiring Mover Pros, I had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE with them. First some background. Last year, it took a different moving company with one truck and three men 3 1/2 hours to move into a 2 bedroom apartment. One year later, it took Mover Pro's over 6 hours to achieve the same using three men. Daniel and his crew showed up on time and first off spent about 15 minutes going over the contract. Second, the amount of wrapping and special crates they crafted took so long and charged me separately for each. 3 1/2 hours later they were only done with the loading. At this point, in addition to the 3.5 * 120 USD per hour, I had also incurred $!30.00 USD on materials used on wrapping and crates. That was already more than I paid last year. Overall, they kept going at a snail speed and it was my perception they were doing so intentionally to charge more, playing games. Finally, close to two hours later they were not even done with the unloading, so I asked them to hurry up and they said all they could do was to put the boxes on my garage to avoid my incurring on extra charges. And so they did leave PLENTY of boxes on the garage that I had to carry later on my own. I paid close to $900 USD for an unfinished job. I totally REGRET doing business with this company and would not recommend at all. P.S. These guys are not honest as they will also keep charging you until they get their truck nice and tidy (i.e. until they fold all their blankets) and their clock stops ticking only when they close the door of the truck. I asked them why I had to still pay for this, and they just said "the truck came like this and it has to leave the same way". read more

Beware! These guys took well over 2 hours to unscrew my bed. They bought a drilling machine that had no power and spent 2 hours unscrewing. Given how expensive they are- this was not what I expect. I had requested for 2 people and 3 people showed up. I agreed to pay a higher rate because they told me it would save 1.5-2 hours. They took 7 hours in total to move a family of 2 from a townhome. That was outrageous- because we had already packed all the items except for big furniture like bed and sofa. For the last 1 hour, they removed the blankets and stomped all over the carpet in their dirty shoes. It is so dirty now that it needs to be professionally cleaned. When I asked them- they claimed that they are out of spare blankets which I saw later in their truck. The only saving grace was that they took good care of my furniture and the movers were courteous. read more

They helped me move a block down the street in Palo Alto. The three guys who did it were very nice and nothing was broken or anything. But what disappointed me was that I was supposed to get a discounted price since I was referred by a friend (who, I should note, had GREAT service from them in June). They charged me a price with no discount. Also, since getting more settled, I have noticed a few items that somehow never made it off the truck and into the apartment. In retrospect, they did seem rushed once we got to the new place, so I don't think there was ill intention, just inattention. read more

I would not book this company unless you have a backup plan!! The booking with Christie went smooth enough, my moving window for them to come was saturday 2-4pm. (I was very clear that in order to get to storage by 7:00 pm they would need to be at the pick up site by 4pm) She even gave me a number to call on Saturday to confirm their scheduled and how they were running. Christie stated multiple times just call by 11:00 Saturday. Now the problems start....on Saturday, no one picks up the phones, and I called the three different numbers I had and they all go to a voice mail box that was full, so no messages can be left. I sent a reply back to Christie via email and no reply. Saturday as I waited for the movers, and waited....nothing happened, no call thirty minutes before 2, 3, or 4 oclock. nothing. So by 4:30 I had to scramble to find a rental truck on a Saturday, month end., I had to buy packing materials and boxes since I did not go to the property prepared because I had booked a moving company..(I thought) I did not have moving support and had not lined up anyone to help because I had booked a moving company (I thought) So here at the 11th hour two people (over sixty years old, one with a bad back) are trying to move stuff out of the rental. Horrible experience. Then at 4:50pm , a mover calls and says he is in San Jose (we are in Santa Cruz) and I was totally frustrated and told them they were the worst business I have dealt with. By the time they would had gotten to Santa Cruz, there is no way we could have made it to storage. A lady called back and said they were not able to give a courtesy call all day because they were in a part of Santa Cruz that did not get phone signal. This is a very lame excuse for business people. I could not put off this move because Sunday morning was scheduled to have a cleaning crew come to the house. (the cleaning crew were on time and know how to run a business) Mover Pros were lousy ....I would never recommend them because they can leave you high and dry on a weekend without any personal obligation to fulfill there business end., I called the company the following Monday because I wanted to speak with a manager and was told he would call me back, still nothing, no call....not too surprising for this business. read more

Great company. Showed up on time - They had quoted me a price and sent me a contract but when the mover showed up they had a higher price- but they honored what I had and it wasn't a big deal. They had my 4 bedroom house loaded not he truck in 3 hours. and moved me in my new place in about the same. All very nice, very polite and helped me move my furniture up and down the stairs to the rooms I wanted them in. All in all very happy ! read more
